Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

Hahaha that picture is awesome.. but why is Sammy wearing heels

Can't see the video.. well I could but I'm too tired to install flash player because you see it's 23:20 in Holland. So nooo time for cookies now. :p And noooo economics anymore.. for tonight. 10 more hours to go tomorrow.

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

As you can see, I'm very glad the new episodes start back up tonight. I wast my time on very random things instead :guffaw:

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

i'm trying very hard to be spoiler free so i have no response to the spoilers..
 I thought I was the only one!

I'm so excited to have a new episode... but I've got to wait until tomorrow to watch it :scream: It's just not fair! But... I've waited this long, what's another day, right?

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

After such a long time of waiting, I know how you feel. It's like they kept adding a week to when the show was going to come back on :shifty:

I've had my Dean withdraw ... and it's about time I dove back in ;)

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

Well, I wasn't gonna get to watch it till 9pm at least anyway cause its normally on at 8 (same time as CSI), but tonight it's not on till midnight cause there's a dumb ball game on. Smallville at 11, Supernatural at 12. So, I guess tonight I'll get to watch Smallville too (its on same time as Bones normally lol) if I so desire (not sure yet).

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

I watched both Smallville and Supernatural, though the only good part of Smallville, for me at least was a wet Tom Welling * snore * The rest of the episode ... not so much.

Alrighty, back on topic

Loved the episode, though I'm a little ticked that they showed parts of next weeks episode to promote this episode. I'm just wondering why they didn't show an actual preview for this episode and most of the parts pertained for the one that's for next week.

Let's start with what I loved:

I was so waiting for Dean to punch the juke box and it to start playing, kind of like the Fonz

"and he's not a doughnut?"

"flooredbythelord.com" "all of god's glory, fit to blog" :wtf:

Call me weird, but it's strange to see Dean doing all the research

"the last I checked, Huggie Bear ain't available," what's a Huggie Bear?

:guffaw: "this ... what ... no, I don't have a good answer,"

"deep fried, extra crispy," the image of that creepy other Alastair being a pediatrician

Sam's definatly been spending time with the ... Ruby if he's mastered the art of throwing people with his freaky brain powers. Something about the way he said, "you have no idea," for some reason I found that sexy ... yeah I'm weird.

Dean "Yo," :guffaw:

"Course, Chaucie,"

"no more tassel leather pants, no more ramone cds," :wtf:

 "I'm so feeling up Demi Moore"

"you have a great ass," :guffaw:

"am I making you uncomfortable," "get out of me," the look on Sam's face LMAO "you're such a prude,"

"I'd say we hit Victoria Secret and get our peep on,"

So Tessa from In My Time of Dying ... kind of weird that this episode was full of shout outs to Ghost, not to mention that the 'full on swayzed that mother' line came from IMTOD, and they added the Demi Moore line to this one.

on another note ... Sam + Hoodie = Puddle on the Floor

"sure, I'll meet you back at Mr. Miyagi's"

"there we go baby," "you pull a muscle?"

"dude, you are so Amityville,"

:guffaw: the look on Sam's face after he got clocked in the stomach ... and the laugh when Dean got back handed by the ghost boy.

"dude, I'm not going to do fight club with a 12 year old, cut it out,"

"what the hell?" "guess again," ... Castiel has great one-liners

And What I hated:

So I had an idea it was going to be Pamela that died, but I don't really like how she turned into a character that we all loved to a bitch of !new Ruby caliber in a matter of minutes. I understand that facing death and/or possibly knowing you're going to die, since she's psychic, could do that, but she knew what she could and would have gotten into and she never bitched about other stuff that happened, so why do it at this particular moment. Also, if she wanted to live, why not let Sam take her to a hospital instead of asking for a drink ... so yeah, possibly she could have lived if she skipped the drink.

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

Nikki, "Huggie Bear" I believe was a character (a snitch for the cops if I recall) in the series "Starsky & Hutch" (which admittedly was before my time- or right after I was born lol). Snoop Dog played him in the movie starring Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller as the title characters (I always have trouble remembering who is who just like I did with Bo and Luke Duke- used to think Luke was the blonde cause of Star Wars' Luke, then I learned Bo was the blonde lol). :)

ETA: Oh I am so peeved! Stupid local CW channel decided to put on two hours of old :censored: Jerry Springer episodes instead of SV and Supernatural! Not that I care much about SV, but I wanted to see Supernatural. :(

Does anyone know if I can watch the episode anywhere? The link I had takes me to amazon and I could only watch two or three minutes before I have to pay to watch it there. Does CW put up episodes on their website like CBS does? I looked on the site and couldn't find, could only find a preview of the episode. :(

^^^ I sent you an email with a suggestion... wasn't sure if it was OK to post links to certain things on here!

OK, so that was a weird episode, but I liked it. I guess I just always come away from episodes where the boys are at odds with each other feeling unsettled, so it's not that usual "great episode" glow I have on normally.

I'm bummed that Pamela died, but I sort of saw that one coming, even without psychic abilities. ;) She did have a good line about not wanting to be a part of their "greaser/soc" streetfight, which was an awesome shout out to the movie The Outsiders. :) I think I'm at an age where I understand pretty much every reference they make, obscure or not. I'm also a pop culture junky and watch a lot of Family Guy, so... Honestly, sometimes I wonder if Jared and Jensen have to ask the writers what the references mean, since a lot of them are before their time!

I loved that they had Christopher Heyerdahl (local Canuck actor in tons of stuff filmed here) on there as Alistair- he did the voice really well too!

Oh, and for the record, aside from the weekly preview commercials, I too try to remain spoiler-free. :)

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

Okay, I have a question about the ep, but it might possibly be spoilerish for newer eps, so putting it in spoiler code just in case.

Pamela was the "character we love" who died? Um... I'm sorry, but I didn't love her. I didn't hate her either. I was just kind of indifferent. Doesn't make a big impact for me. They made it sound like it was a much bigger impact. Or is someone else supposed to die in another episode?

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

i loved this episode, usually i feel a little unsettled when the boys are at odds a bit too but this time i think its working up to something and i'm kinda interested in seeing were it goes.
and my gosh how could that kid not know about mr. myagi? has he not seen karate kid, possibly the coolest movie??
i wasn't really that bummed that pamela died...i don't know, i just didn't really get to attached to her. what she said to sammy at the end totally had me shocked i was not expecting her to say that to him.

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

Yeah, and what the reaper said to Dean was troubling too. I think that's why I was extra unsettled- they're at odd with each other, and they're both getting personal warnings to boot... Oh, the drama of it all!

But I LOVE IT!

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

The local station just up and decided to play the episode at ten tonight. Luckily, bro caught it just as it was coming on. All I missed was the very first scene which didn't have the boys in it, so... no biggie. :) Okay, here's my thoughts:

Dean has the best lines.

Case in point:

*Last I checked Huggie Bear wasn't available.
*I thought you got deep fried, extra crispy.

Alistar: You been solar flexing with your little slut?

Sam: "Friendly neighborhood reaper.

Chachi, If Dean's Chachi does that mean Sam is Joanie or The Fonz? Personally, I think Dean is more "The Fonz".

Dean: I'm so feeling up Demi Moore.

Sam to Dean: Get out of me. haha! That was funny.

the kid to Sam: Thanks, Haley Joel; I know I'm dead.

Oh, Sammy... lying to the kid, not nice.

Dean: I'll meet you back at Mr. Miagi's.
Kid: Who's Mr. Miagi?

Sam to Kid: I'm not gonna do fight club with a 12 yr old. haha!

Now Tessa and Dean... there's chemistry there. But, I don't suppose it would be practical for a human to be with a reaper. Shame, really.

Alistar, dude... why are you talking like the Godfather?

Alistar to Dean: Angsty little noggin'.

Cas!!! Finally! What took you so long, babe?

(I swear every time I hear "Runaway Train" by AC/DC, I think of Cas and Dean [not in a shippy way, mind you] the first line "one hot angel, one cool dude". )

Cas to Dean: Whatever I ask you seem to do the exact opposite. Yep, that's our Dean. :D

So with what Pamela told Sam, are we supposed to think Ruby is not on the boys' side as much as she seems to be?

And what's with what Tessa told Dean? That better not mean he has to go back to hell when he dies! That would suck!

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

That's an interesting theory about Ruby... and one I've sort of been considering off an on since this season started. Seems to me if Lilith knocked Ruby out of the body she had (Katie Cassidy) it would not have been so easy for her to come back- other demons have been knocked back to hell and they haven't made it back. Seems like a betrayer wouldn't be ignored in hell- they'd want to make her pay. Anyway, in hindsight it just seems like her return was awfully convenient.

And in the grand scheme of things, wouldn't it have been smart of "team hell" to plant an inside man? And after what Pamela said, it's started me thinking this way again.

Then again, I could be totally wrong, and likely am!

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

Well, there was the angle of Ruby having been a witch, so that helped explain how she might have succeeded in getting out where others couldn't. But, yeah... the inside man thing would be a good idea... although I kind of think it might be Uriel. j/k... I wish it were him cause I don't like him at all. He's mean. :D

Which episode was it where it said a character we love will die? Was it "Death Takes a Holiday"? Or another one cause if it's another episode, I have a bad feeling it could be Ed Zedmoore (AJs character). :( I would hate it if it were him, but...
