I don't want that at all AJ. I like her too much. Not to mention it would kill my Miami OTP. Plus, Nat would be stuck doing DNA rather than CSI work if that happened. And I do NOT want that. Nat doing DNA is like Greg constantly doing Archie's job when Archie isn't around. It's annoying. They're CSIs and should be doing CSI stuff not strictly there for DNA or a/v stuff.

I still say Paula would be a good choice. She's the lady cop that's been there for a while, kind of like Mitch on Vegas. Though I haven't seen Paula very much if at all this season.

I did get the impression from the promo that I saw (I saw her coughing) that Calleigh might go down hard, so....I won't finish my thought.
The chick in the green sweater? I don't think that's Calleigh -- it doesn't look like her to me, plus she's seen in the promo wearing her only black suit (burn that thing for crying out loud).

Re: Valera. Since she isn't in the finale I wouldn't think she'd show up dead in the premiere. If it isn't a main character who keels over, then I'd say it's more likely to be someone random like the girl who was shot in 'Hostile Takeover'.

The Episode Thread is now up for 8x24 - All Fall Down. Any further discussion regarding this episode should be moved to that thread here. :)

Well, considering that this episode involves letters of some sort, I'd guess Cynthia Wells since she is the QD tech. It would most logical that she would touch the letters to try to match handwriting or whatnot and end up exposed. And she was in one ep this season after not appearing on the show for several years which is kind of weird.

...ooh what about Ryan though - he actually switched to the QD department this season remember?

Ryan is a trace specialist. He may have been doing something in the QD department for an ep or two kind of like how we sometimes see Ryan doing A/V stuff when Dave isn't there. I don't recall them saying that he switched to QD permanently.

They all fall down...personally,i feel Calleigh will suffer the most.Perhaps, she went into a coma or something.I dont think her lungs can take any further poisonous smoke.Twice from the fire, and now this??
But it will be strange not having Calleigh on Miami,if say, she decided to leave the show.

Please god! No more comas or near death scenes for Calleigh. They are getting old and tired and I'm really tired of watching Eric scream and yell trying to make everyone care.

On this rare occasion I agree with Delynn ;)
Please, please, please no more near-death situations for either Calleigh or Eric! Seriously, that would just make them invincible and unbeliveable...I wouldn't like anyone else to be near death for that matter...I think they were all near death at some point. Enough!
That episode looks interesting though. Spooky! I like the idea of puzzles, something fresh on this show.

;)
I've mourned the loss of the old Calleigh from earlier seasons for quite a while. Sorry to admit only elation would follow her departure now.

I also have moved past my mourning period over the loss of the Calleigh that I respected, enjoyed watching and so looked forward to seeing each week. For me she died 4+ years ago.

I would gladly celebrate the passing of the imposter posing as Calleigh since mid season 3.

Eh, what can I say? Many of us love Emily/Calleigh. Especially in Monday's episode. I loved her being sassy at the end. :)

I agree! :bolian: I count myself among Calleigh's many fans, and I actually like the way her character has evolved. Besides, I still see so much of "Season 1 Calleigh" in Season 8, like the sassy attitude she sported in "Time Bomb." :thumbsup:When I look back on CSIM over all 8 seasons so far, all of the characters have developed a great deal, as regular people would do in real life over an 8 year period. I was watching some of the old Season 1 episodes of CSIM on DVD recently, and I was struck by how much Horatio himself has changed since that 1st season. And I wouldn't have it any other way ... a character that remained unchanged/unaffected after 8 years of working with death, murder, and the worst of humanity day after day would be pretty one-dimensional, not to mention unrealistic, IMO.

In any case, I still think that all of this speculation about which of the team-members won't "get up" next season, will turn out to be a moot point. My money is still on some lab tech. :guffaw: As others have said, in the preview interviews for the season finale, the cast-members seemed way too perky and upbeat for me to think that any of them will be leaving the show for good. Hopefully, we'll find out that none of us has nothing to worry about when the Season 9 spoilers start to leak out in July or August.:)

If the girl in the green shirt who is coughing in the previews is not Calleigh, then I say it'll probably be her who dies if anyone dies. If it is Calleigh, then the death will probably be some random person.

I noticed in the preview or that youtube behind the scenes video someone posted that there is a woman with an office mail cart who hands the letter to Calleigh (its addressed to Calleigh), so perhaps the one who dies will be the woman with the mail cart.

In the cast list for the episode it has:

CSI Tech............................ Mary Alyce Kania

Perhaps that's the person who dies?

Entirely possible, GNRF! It's kind of like the original Star Trek series. If they went down to a planet and somebody had on a red shirt (security), you knew they were expendable and one or all of them (the people in the red shirts) were history!

I hope you are right GNRF! It wouldn't be the first time they built something up and then *poof* it isn't near as bad as they made it out to be, and I hope it works out that way again:thumbsup:

Being a Star Trek fan, everytime a saw a red shirt I always thought "well, they're toast"

Nothing major, just sharing a word from the producer's blog at CBS site.

For those who watched last night’s season finale of CSI: Miami (which I hope is everyone reading this), it was big. VERY BIG. And though we usually like to cover some behind the scenes aspect of each episode in our blog, we thought it might be time to break format to address another BIG twist on CSI: Miami – we’re moving nights!

Those who devotedly follow television might have heard that CSI: Miami has been moved, and next season we will be airing on Sunday nights at 10pm! For those who didn’t hear, this is to let you know! Tell your friends, family members, whoever else that is fan. We don’t want anyone to miss a single episode as next season is looking to be the most thrill-filled of them all.

Some of you might wonder: How does our time change affect the show? Will the stories be different? Will all the cast be back? Do I have to watch Undercover Boss before CSI: Miami? The general answer is: nothing changes! Except, we do encourage you to watch our lead-in, Undercover Boss. It is a fantastic CBS show, and if you didn’t watch it after the Super Bowl, what better time to try than as a warm up to CSI: Miami!

But once again, the key to remember is the only thing that changes is the time. I spoke to Co-Executive Producer Marc Dube who reassured me that, “The night CSI: Miami airs doesn't change what we do. The stories and how we tell them get better each year.”

And as far as what will happen to Horatio, Delko, Calleigh and the rest of the squad, Marc also relayed that, “Audiences can still look forward to seeing how we resurrect our fallen CSIs in Season 9. Will everyone survive? Tune in Sunday nights to find out!”

So, as the summer months roll along, and Fall starts to creep up on us, just remember: Sunday nights. Sunday nights for all the high-octane Miami action you’ve been coming back to year after year. With all of our CSI’s going down at the end of Season 8, the big question is… Which CSIs will survive, and which might be laid to rest...

It will all be revealed starting Sunday nights, so warm up those flat screens and set those DVRs, cause CSI: Miami is coming back, and it’s going to be hotter than ever!

Greg B. is Assistant to CSI: Miami Co-Creator/Showrunner/Executive Producer Ann Donahue.
