calleighspeedle I officially declare you.....a bad Rory fan lol. EVERYONE I've ever talked to has seen Empire Records, but then again they say the same thing about me when I tell them I haven't seen The Notebook yet. :lol:

Empire Records is a great movie, some of my favorite Rory quotes and moments are from that movie. It's got a really good plot and Rory does an excellent job with the humor, he delivers his lines perfectly, and is great with the dry comedy. My favorite part is probably in the beginning.

Joe: [after Lucas enters] Lucas!
Lucas: Joe!
Joe: Where's the money?
Lucas: Joe, the money is gone.
Joe: Yeah, I know it's gone... but where's it gone to?
Lucas: Atlantic City.
Joe: Atlantic City?... Is it coming back from Atlantic City?
Lucas: [nervous laugh] Oh, I don't think so, Joe.
Joe: What's it doing in Atlantic City, Lucas?
Lucas: ...Recirculating.
Joe: Recirculating?
Lucas: Yeah.

Rory does the best job at being so innocent and a guilty little puppy at the same time. Oh man, I really need to go watch that movie now! lol.

I do own Empire Records but I have only seen it in its entirity twice.

Speaking of Rory films on TV.....Black & White will be shown on over here on Sky on the Zone Thriller channel on 22nd January (I think at 9pm) Unfortunately for me the said channel is only available to Sky customers and I'm a Virgin Media customer so I will miss out :( I have the other Zone... channels such as Zone Horror and Zone Fantasy :rolleyes:

Also A Scanner Darkly is going to be on about 5 or 6 times between now and the middle of February on the Sky Movies Indie channel (which I do have lol}

But I must mourn the loss of Season 1 & 2 Miami as it is being taken off air on UK TV :( The one and only slot that is currently airing Speedle episodes on UK TV will conclude tonight with 'Innocent' at 11pm on Five US. Next Friday CSI:NY Season 3 will be taking its place. I'm totally gutted! At one time Season 1/2 used to be on 3/4 times a week spread over 2 channels :( Now its all Season 4 and 5 :mad:

I know I have Season 1 & 2 of Miami and Every film Rory has been in practically on DVD but thats not the point. I love it when a show/film which has Rory in is shown on TV, no matter how many times I've seen it on DVD I love it when it comes on TV and I will always sit down and watch it :lol:

Don't worry guys from what you've told me about Empire Records it sounds a great movie, so I have ordered it from Amazon.co.uk and I should have it next week. :D

I saw Empire Records and it was a pretty good movie. Lucas kind of reminded me of Speedle because he was so laid back and spoke the truth. I was suprised when I saw Johnny Whitworth in it because they worked in CSI:Miami but not together. I loved all the acting and I wish that I could work in a place like that :lol:

I'm renting "Empire Records" at some point, so I can't wait to see it! Loving all the rave reviews.

Loving the pics calleighspeedle!!! Especially the first one. *sigh*

They are from the mini series Rory did that was on TNT back in August called The Company!

Empire Records is on "Fuse Channel" here in the U.S. right now.

sanderslove's avatar is gorgeous. :D I loves me some Lucas.

I think 'Empire Records' was the second different work I've seen Rory do. ('Dazed and Confused' was the first) It's a great movie for people who want to see Rory in something different and aren't sure what would give the best impression.

The dancing scene was my favorite! Besides, it had AC/DC in the background and that just rocks. It's kind of funny how AJ and Lucas are Jake and Speed. I don't think I'll ever get over the irony of that. It's a shame we won't get to see them interact on Miami together--I suspect they would have had some great scenes.

Oh calleighspeedle, that's awesome that you've ordered 'Empire Records'! You'll definitely enjoy it.
