You read my mind Springmoon! I also like "California Girls" and "Little Deuce Coupe" by the Beach Boys and anything by Offspring.

I listen to Glenn Miller or the Boston Pops if I'm feeling sad or nostalgic. Those were my Dad's favorites (he passed away in '96), so they bring happy memories or sad tears. Catch-22.
 
Evil by Interpol kinda makes me think of summer because some of the lyrics are It's the faces in the sand
It's the thought that moves you upwards

Yeah maybe to the beach.

"If Everyone Cared" by Nickelback and "I Believe" by Diamond Rio make me feel sad.

"Route 66" by Chuck Berry and "Six-Pack Summer" by Phil Vassar make me think of summer.

"Something More" and "Settlin'" by Sugarland and any Michael Buble song make me feel happy.
