Songs for the Characters

I heard the song Feel by Robbie Williams, and it reminded me of Grissom a little.

Come on hold my hand,
I wanna contact the living.
Not sure I understand,
This role I’ve been given.

I sit and talk to god
And he just laughs at my plans,
My head speaks a language, I don’t understand.

(chorus)
I just wanna feel real love,
Feel the home that I live in.
’cause I got too much life,
Running through my veins, going to waste.

I don’t wanna die,
But I ain’t keen on living either.
Before I fall in love,
I’m preparing to leave her.
I scare myself to death,
That’s why I keep on running.
Before I’ve arrived, I can see myself coming.

(chorus)

And I need to feel, real love
And a life ever after.
I cannot get enough.

(chorus)

I just wanna feel real love,
In a life ever after
There’s a hole in my soul,
You can see it in my face, it’s a real big place.

(instrumental)

Come and hold my hand,
I wanna contact the living,
Not sure I understand,
This role I’ve been given

Not sure I understand.

By Your Side
by: Sade

you think i'd leave your side baby
you know me better than that
you think i'd leave you down when you're down on your knees
i wouldn't do that
i'll tell you you're right when you want
ha ah ah ah ah ah
and if only you could see into me

oh when you're cold
i'll be there
hold you tight to me

when you're on the outside baby and you can`t get in
i will show you you're so much better than you know
when you're lost and you're alone and you cant get back again
i will find you darling and i will bring you home

and if you want to cry
i am here to dry your eyes
and in no time
you'll be fine

you think i'd leave your side baby
you know me better than that
you think id leave you down when you're down on your knees
i wouldn't do that
i'll tell you you're right when you want
ha ah ah ah ah ah
and if only you could see into me

oh when you're cold
i'll be there
hold you tight to me
when you're low
i'll be there
by your side baby

oh when you're cold
i'll be there
hold you tight to me
oh when you're low
i'll be there
by your side baby

I'm not even a Sandle shipper, but I thought that the song Just the Girl by the Click Five would be good for Sara and Greg.

Hey Umbrello, sorry I couldn't post an answer right away, I've been away for a little while, Chelmsford is right next to the city of Lowell (if you've ever heard of there) but it's also really close to Nashua NH and it's about 45 minutes from Boston.

I love that song..it's a beautiful song..

I heard a song that makes me think of Grissom and Nick and no this is not a slasher song, it's more about their dark personalities and their sad experiences.

'High Hope' by Pink Floyd..
Encumbered forever by desire and ambition
There's a hunger still unsatisfied
Our weary eyes still stray to the horizon
though down this road we've been so many times

The grass was greener
The light was brighter
The taste was sweeter
The nights of wonder
With friends surrounded
The dawn mist glowing
The water flowing
The endless river

If you ever hear it, it's very sad. The video is trippy too, kind of old style British comedy flavour.

I think another good song to show the relationship between Nick and Grissom would be "Shine Your Light" By Robbie Robertson. I can't fine the lyrics but it was in the movie "Ladder 49"

It's amazing you hear a song that makes you think of a character.

The song by Nine Inch Nails, 'Hurt' reminds me of Nick, because of all the crap he's endured.

This line especially, 'Everyone I know goes away'-sorry if I got that line wrong.

And on a humourous, but naughty note..'Closer' by Nine Inch Nails would be a song many Nick fans would want sing to him.

This song is so scarily Cath's POV after 601 about the whole Warrick debacle :

Rooster - Deep and Meaningless

I, I don't know why I miss you so much
Yeah I, I don't know why I still feel your touch
You, you left me feeling high and dry
With nothing, nothing but the queston why

Yeah you, I guess you had another direction
And leaving me with nothing but a dead connection

Chorus:
If you call me today
I'll say that I'm fine
But I bet you can tell by the tone of my voice
It's just a lie
You knew what you had
You still walked away leaving me in this mess
My love for you is deep and meaningless

You, you knew what you were doing to me
And I, I guess I was too blind to see
Well you hit where it hurt and you fooled me so bad
But I'd do it again to relive what we had
(Damn that's sad)

There are many things left to remind me
Of a love that I just can't leave behind me

criminal92 - im making a video with that song about Nick "father of mine" great choice :D
Check this out for Grissom

"Fill Me Up" by Staind (AMAZING!)
just had to let you know
cause I don't always let it show
you give me needed room to grow
and I just had to tell you so

you fill me up,
you're in my veins
a look could take my breath away
and all these things, you give away
sometimes I take for granted

It's just like poetry inside to hear you breathing by my side
like I’m in heaven and I’ve died
so glad you're with me for this ride

you fill me up,
you're in my veins
a look could take my breath away
and all these things, you give away
sometimes I take for granted

I see your face to start my day
makes all my bad dreams go away
and all the stupid games we play
wouldn't have it any other way

you fill me up,
you're in my veins
a look could take my breath away
and all these things, you give away
sometimes I take for granted

One more for Sara
"Fix You" by Coldplay
When you try your best but you don't succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse

And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
could it be worse?

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

And high up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
Just what you're worth

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

Tears stream down on your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down your face
And I

Tears stream down on your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face
And I

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you.

Since no one cares about this thread anymore i'll attack it with more songs!
here's one for Grissom (if he has had a past relationship fail)
"Leave" by Matchbox 20
It's amazing
How you make your face just like a wall
How you take your heart and turn it off
How I turn my head and lose it all

It's unnerving
How just one move puts me by myself
There you go just trusting someone else
Now I know I put us both through hell

I'm not saying there wasn't nothing wrong
I just didn't think you'd ever get tired of me
I'm now saying we ever had the right to hold on
I just didn't wanna let it get away from me

But if that's how it's gonna leave
Straight out from underneath
Then we'll see who's sorry now
If that's how it's gonna stand, when
You know you've been depending on
The one you're leaving now
The one you're leaving out

It's aggravating
How you threw me on and you tore me out
How your good intentions turn to doubt
The way you needed time to sort it out

I'm not saying there wasn't nothing wrong
I just didn't think you'd ever get tired of me
I'm now saying we ever had the right to hold on
I just didn't wanna let it get away from me

But if that's how it's gonna leave
Straight out from underneath
Then we'll see who's sorry now
If that's how it's gonna stand, when
You know you've been depending on
The one you're leaving now
The one you're leaving out

The one you're leaving now
The one you're leaving out

I'm not saying there wasn't nothing wrong
I just didn't think you'd ever get tired of me

But if that's how it's gonna leave
Straight out from underneath
Then we'll see who's sorry now
If that's how it's gonna stand, when
You know you've been depending on
The one you're leaving now
The one you're leaving out

Tell me is that how it's going to end
When you know you've been depending on
The one you're leaving now
And the one you're leaving out

The one you're leaving now
The one you're leaving out

Found one for Grissom. Alot of this song reminds me of him, but then alot of it doesn't remind me of him at all. "Remember the name" by Fort Minor.
----

REMEMBER THE NAME

You ready? Lets go!
Yeah, for those of you that want to know what we're all about
It's like this y'all c'mon

It's just ten percent luck
Twenty percent skill
Fifteen percent concentrated power of will
Five percent pleasure
Fifty percent pain
And a hundred percent reason to remember the name

He doesn't need his name up in lights
He just wants to be heard whether it's the beat or the mic
He feels so unlike everybody else, alone
In spite of the fact that some people still think that they know him
But f*ck em'
He knows the code
It's not about the salary
It's about reality and makin' some noise
Makin' the story
Makin' sure his clique stays up
That means when he puts it down Tak's pickin' it up

Who the hell is he anyway?
He never really talks much
Never concerned with status but still leavin' them star struck
Humbled through opportunities given to him despite the fact
That many misjudge him because he makes a livin' from writin raps
Put it together himself, now the picture connects
Never askin for someone's help, to get some respect
He's only focused on what he wrote, his will is beyond reach
And now when it all unfolds, the skill of an artist

It's just twenty percent skill
Eighty percent fear
Be one hundred percent clear 'cause Ryu is ill
Who would've thought that he'd be the one to set the west in flames
And I heard him wreckin' with The Crystal Method, Name Of The Game
Came back dropped Megadef, took 'em to church
I'm like 'bleach, man, why you have the stupidest verse?'
This dude is the truth, now everybody be givin' him guest spots
His stock's through the roof I heard he f*ckin' with S-Dot!

It's just ten percent luck
Twenty percent skill
Fifteen percent concentrated power of will
Five percent pleasure
Fifty percent pain
And a hundred percent reason to remember the name

They call him Ryu the sick
And he's spittin fire at Mike
Got him out the dryer he's hot
Found him in Fort Minor with Tak
Been a f*ckin' annihilist porcupine
He's a pr*ck, he's a c*ck
The type woman want to be with
And rappers hope he get shot
Eight years in the makin'
Patiently waitin to blow
Now the record with Shinoda's takin' over the globe
He's got a partner in crime his shit is equally dope
You wont believe the kind of shit that comes out of this kid's throat

Tak
He's not your everyday on the block
He knows how to work with what he's got
Makin' his way to the top
People think its a common owners name
People keep askin him was it given at birth
Or does it stand for an acronym?
No he's livin' proof
Got him rockin' the booth
He'll get you buzzin' quicker than a shot of vodka with juice
Him and his crew are known around as one of the best
Dedicated to what they doin give a hundred percent

Forget Mike
Nobody really knows how or why he works so hard
It seems like he's never got time
Because he writes every note and he writes every line
And I've seen him at work when that light goes on in his mind
It's like a design is written in his head every time
Before he even touches a key or speaks in a rhyme
And those motherf*ckers he runs with, those kids that he signed
Ridiculous, without even tryin', how do they do it?

It's just ten percent luck
Twenty percent skill
Fifteen percent concentrated power of will
Five percent pleasure
Fifty percent pain
And a hundred percent reason to remember the name

It's just ten percent luck
Twenty percent skill
Fifteen percent concentrated power of will
Five percent pleasure
Fifty percent pain
And a hundred percent reason to remember the name

Sara: Love Fool - The cranberries

An awesome song for Sara is "Sitting, Waiting, Wishing" by Jack Johnson

Well I was sitting, waiting, wishing
You believed in superstitions
Then maybe you'd see the signs

The Lord knows that this world is cruel
I ain't the Lord, no I'm just a fool
Learning lovin' somebody don't make them love you

Must I always be waiting, waiting on you
Must I always be playing, playing your fool

I sang your songs, I danced your dance
I gave your friends all a chance
But putting up with them
Wasn't worth never having you

Maybe you've been through this before
But it's my first time so please ignore
The next few lines cause they're directed at you

I can't always be waiting, waiting on you
I can't always be playing, playing your fool

I keep playing your part
But it's not my scene
Want this plot to twist
I've had enough mystery
Keep building it up
Then you shooting me down
But I'm already down

Just wait a minute
Just sitting, waiting
Just wait a minute
Just sitting, waiting

Well, if I was in your position
I'd put down all my ammunition
I'd wonder why'd it taken me so long

But the Lord knows that I'm not you
And if I was, I wouldn't be so cruel
Cause waitin' on love ain't so easy to do

Must I always be waiting, waiting on you
Must I always be playing, playing your fool

No, I can't I always be waiting, waiting on you
I can't always be playing, playing your fool
