Songs for the Characters

The song Wishes by Superchick hit me as a Sara/Grissom song, which is strange because I see them as a good fit, but anyways...

The saddest thing is you could be anything, that you could want.
We could've been everything, but now we're not.
Now it's not anything at all.
The hardest part was getting this close to you
and giving up this dream I built with you.
A fairy tale that isn't coming true.
You've got some growing up to do.

*CHORUS*
I wish we could have worked it out.
I wish I didn't have these doubts,
I wish I didn't have to wonder just what you are doing now.
I wish I didn't know inside
That it won't work out for you and I.
I wish that I could stop this wishing and just say my last goodbye.

After all the things you put me through,
tell me why I'm still in love with you.
Why am I, why am I still waiting for your call?
You broke my heart, I'm taking it back from you.
I'm taking back the life I gave to you.
Life goes on before and after you.
I've got some growing up to do.

*CHORUS*

Goodbye, Goodbye, It's time I say my last goodbye.

*CHORUS*

Goodbye, Goodbye, It's time I say my last goodbye.

Hey now guys. I love GSR as much as most, but this is songs for the characters that means that we have to put songs for everybody from all the shows.

for linds and/or cath

you gotta be

You Gotta Be lyrics

Listen as your day unfolds
Challenge what the future holds
Try and keep your head up to the sky
Lovers, they may cause you tears
Go ahead release your fears
Stand up and be counted
Don't be ashamed to cry
You gotta be
You gotta be bad, you gotta be bold
You gotta be wiser, you gotta be hard
You gotta be tough, you gotta be stronger
You gotta be cool, you gotta be calm
You gotta stay together
All I know, all I know, love will save the day
Herald what your mother said
Readin' the books your father read
Try to solve the puzzles in your own sweet time
Some may have more cash than you
Others take a different view
My oh my heh, hey
You gotta be bad, you gotta be bold
You gotta be wiser, you gotta be hard
You gotta be tough, you gotta be stronger
You gotta be cool, you gotta be calm
You gotta stay together
All I know, all I know, love will save the day
Don't ask no questions, it goes on without you
Leaving you behind if you can't stand the pace
The world keeps on spinning
You can't stop it, if you try to
This time it's danger staring you in the face
Oh oh oh Remember
Listen as your day unfolds
Challenge what the future holds
Try and keep your head up to the sky
Lovers, they may cause you tears
Go ahead release your fears
My oh my heh, hey, hey
You gotta be
You gotta be bad, you gotta be bold
You gotta be wiser, you gotta be hard
You gotta be tough, you gotta be stronger
You gotta be cool, you gotta be calm
You gotta stay together
All I know, all I know, love will save the day
You gotta be bad, you gotta be bold
You gotta be wiser, you gotta be hard
You gotta be tough, you gotta be stronger
You gotta be cool, you gotta be calm
You gotta stay together
All I know, all I know, love will save the day

we have to put songs for everybody from all the shows.

I think we are, but there are more songs that relate to GSR.

I put in songs for HCR and DnA...

I know that, and appreciated that. i was specifically talking to you, just saying to others. we had a lotta GSR songs in this thread. gotta keep the variety.

The song Trouble by Pink kind of fits Lindsey:

No attorneys - to plead my case
No opiates - to send me into outer space
And my fingers are bejeweled
With diamonds and gold but that ain't
gonna help me now

Chorus
I'm trouble - yeah trouble now
I'm trouble y'all, I disturb my own town
I'm trouble - yeah, trouble now
I'm trouble y'all, I got trouble In My Town

Verse 2
You think you're right, but you were wrong
You tried to take me, but I knew all along
You can't take me for a ride
I'm not a fool now - so you better run and hide

Chorus

Bridge
If you see me coming down the street
Then you know it's time to go
(Then you know it's time to go 'cause
here comes trouble)

I've got one for Gil to Cath
Celine Dion's treat her like a lady
Dont have lyrics sorry!

The song It's Okay To Think About Ending by Earlimart makes me think of Sara with her DUI episode, especially with the smile part.

It's okay, to think about ending
And it's okay, to not even start
Put it away, wait 'til tomorrow
Put it away, and take care of your heart
of your heart

It's okay, to stay here forever
And it's okay to read in the dark
Put it away, wait 'til tomorrow
Put it away, and take care of your heart
of your heart
Just for a while, I'd seen you smile

how about "Long Night" by The Corrs for GSR?

or

"Smooth Operator" by Sade for Catherine's POV about Eddie or possibly about Warrick (no disrespect towards Warrick )

I think "Eleanor" by Low Millions would be a good song for how Eddie tried to get back in to Catherine's life, before he did all that mean stuff.

Eleanor

Fine, I understand, okay with me, if thats the plan.
You can take the stereo, the TV and the video, the bed the sheets and pillows, before you go.
But for now, unlock the door, what are we doin' all this for?
Let me make you dinner one last time, then you'll go your way, and I'll go mine.

And I won't call you baby, anymore, won't call you baby, like I did before, won't call you baby,
anymore, Eleanor.

You left your smell, you left your taste, you left me here with my mistakes.
And I can't relate to what you say I've done, but just for you, I'll bite my tongue.

And I won't call you baby, anymore, won't call you baby, like I did before, won't call you baby,
anymore, Eleanor.

Eleanor I miss you, Eleanor be well, Eleanor I wish you'd release me from your spell.

Hey Nora I'm from MA too, but I've never heard of Chelsford. Where is it?
This song is for Catherine after she found out Eddie was cheating on him.

It's not right, but it's okay
by: Whitney Houston

Verse 1
Friday night you and your boys went out to eat
Then they hung out, but you came home around three (yes you did)
If six of ya'll went out
then four of you were really cheap
Cause only two of you had dinner
I found your credit card receipt

CHORUS
It's not right ,but it's okay
I'm gonna make it anyway
Pack your bags up and leave
don't you dare come
Running back to me
It's not right, but it's okay
I'm gonna make it anyway
Close the door behind you
Leave your key
I'd rather be alone than unhappy

Verse 2
I pack bags so you can leave town for a week (yes I am)
The phone rings and then you look at me
said it was one of your friends
down on 54th street boy
So why did 213 showed up on your caller ID?

REPEAT CHORUS

I've been through all this before
Don’t think about it, don’t think about it
Head on out that door
Things have got to change baby
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Don’t think about it
Don’t you turn around
There's no more tears
Left here for you to see

Now is it really worth you going out like that tell me
Was it really worth it going out like that
See I'm moving on and I refuse to turn back
See all of this time I thought I had somebody
down for Whitney
It turns out, you were making a fool of me OH!!!!!!!

REPEAT CHORUS until end

I just recently heard this song at a music store and the title popped out to me because it was called, "Pancho and Lefty" and it's by Willie Nelson. It reminded me of Nick in a way

Livin on the road my friend, is gonna keep you free and clean
Now you wear your skin like iron
Your breath as hard as kerosene
You weren't your momma's only boy, but her favorite one it seems
She began to cry when you said goodbye
And sank into your dreams
Pancho was a bandit boy, his horse was fast as polished steel
He wore his gun outside his pants
For all the honest world to feel
Pancho met his match you know on the deserts down in Mexico
Nobody heard his dyin words, ah but that's the way it goes

All the Federales say, they could've had him any day
They only let him slip away, out of kindness I suppose

Lefty he can't sing the blues all night long like he used to
The dust that Pancho bit down south ended up in Lefty's mouth
The day they laid poor Pancho low, Lefty split for Ohio
Where he got the bread to go, there ain't nobody knows

All the Federales say, they could've had him any day
They only let him slip away out of kindness I suppose

The boys tell how old Pancho fell, and Lefty's livin in cheap hotels
The desert's quiet, Cleveland's cold
And so the story ends we're told
Pancho needs your prayers it's true, but save a few for Lefty too
He only did what he had to do, and now he's growing old

All the Federales say, they could've had him any day
They only let him go so long, out of kindness I suppose

A few gray Federales say, they could've had him any day
They only let him go so long, out of kindness I suppose

Ok I got one for Horatio. I'm not sure of the name or who sings it but part of it goes like this.

"And they say that a hero can save us. I'm not gonna stand here and wait. I'll hold onto the wings of a hero......"

Sorry that's all I know. It just popped into my head.

Here it is!

CHAD KROEGER
HERO Lyric

(feat. Josey Scott)

I am so high, I can hear heaven.
I am so high, I can hear heaven.
Oh but heaven, no heaven don't hear me.

And they say that a hero can save us.
I'm not gonna stand here and wait.
I'll hold on to the wings of the eagles.
Watch as we all fly away.

Someone told me that love would all save us.
But how can that be?
Look what love gave us.
A world full of killing, and blood-spilling, that
world never came.

And they say that a hero can save us.
I'm not gonna stand here and wait.
I'll hold on to the wings of the eagles.
Watch as we all fly away.

Now that the world isn't ending, it's love that I'm sending to you.
It isn't the love of a hero, that's why I fear it won't do.

And they say that a hero can save us.
I'm not gonna stand here and wait.
I'll hold on to the wings of the eagles.
Watch as we all fly away.

And they're watching us (Watching us)
Watching as we all fly away.
And they're watching us (Watching us)
Watching as we all fly away.
And they're watching us (Watching us)
Watching as we all fly away.
