Season 9 *Spoiler Lab* Discussions P3

^Hmm that would be interesting. Maybe that's even why he's become so much more quiet and toned down in the last few seasons.

I don't think Greg will be leaving. There has been too much juggling of characters on the show, and the introduction of Ray Langston feels like the deal sealer. Also, doesn't it still feel like Greg's getting warmed up?
I know he's a level 3 now but I still doesn't feel like he's really deft at what he does. He still feels like a newbie to an extent.

Personally I get kind of tired of CSI and the spinoffs always having that one person who continuously makes mistakes during their careers. For this one it appears to be Greg having a rough time. Just when you think it's smooth sailing it's like WHOOPS SPLAT, and in CSI Miami it's Ryan.
Nevertheless, I hope the drama from this foresight is tasteful!

Okay for the last time, see notes/trivia at the site it is where they put the names they got orginially (ie before any changes). -- In the link seabird provided to a post that I made awhile back. I am giving the orginial title (as we know it now) and you will see the pre-production title which was what is in said link.

I just hope they keep the "Stokes On Duty" title. It would be cool to have his name in an episode title finally. :)

The spoiler says Greg does something that may end his career as a CSI, this does not have to mean he will lose his job, or go back to the lab or that Eric is leaving the show.

Exactly. And like so many spoilers have turned out, it may end up just being a smart remark to Ecklie or something that amounts to five minutes of the show.

So true. Greg is one of the main characters who really has not been given much character development other than going from lab rat to CSI. I mean it was not until Fannysmackin' that we even found out he was an only child.
Maybe it will be a story that gives us a little more insight into his character and what really motivates him.

I do not want to see a repeat of what happened to Ryan in CSI: Miami happen to Greg. The writers should be able to come up with something a little more original, but then again we know them better. :wtf:

And Gregs book, when he heard about Warrick he was at the airport leaving to talk to the publishers, about "Old Vegas", the premise of his book, so I'd like to see that story line continued pertaining to him and his book!

Oh.
I'd also like to see some of the strange clues to his family connected. There's papa olaf here, nana olaf there, wheres the dad?
Perhaps he'll get injured on the field and we get to meet a very finicky mommy? It would be a good follow up on the Fannysmackin episode.
So many possibilities...

Then maybe what Greg does is get his book published, it gives him a new career path and he wonders if he should give up being a CSI in favor of being an author.

Perhaps there's some play on words there with the Greg rumor/spoiler. Maybe it doesn't mean that he makes a mistake that could get him fired, maybe it means he makes a mistake that puts his life in danger ... because well lets just say that when Rick died, his career as a CSI ended. If an althlete made a mistake of doing something stupid like jumping off something high and breaking their leg, they might end their career as an athlete. Perhaps Greg's mistake is something along the lines of Ryan getting the nail in his eye (not that that was his fault, but still it could have caused permanent damage and ended his career cause a CSI needs their eyes). Just throwing another idea out there.

Or maybe it won't be a bad something. Maybe he'll just go against the higher ups' wishes and risk everything to save Riley and Hodges from the hostage-taker. Greg has done something heroic that almost ended his career in two ways before when he hit that kid with his car.

I agree. My guess, for the moment, is that it either has something to do with the book or that it is something that's tiny and hardly worth the spoiler.

I have some cating news about Episode 9.17 , but I don't think it's about a former colleque of Sam Braun...
This is what I know about 9.17:

Priscilla raised her son Reggie, who is a student at the university. He earns his keep by making and selling PCP. Due to his actions, he is wounded and must undergo a dramatic surgery. She agrees to take in her troubled nephew Frankie to see if she can help turn him around. She discovers that her son is actually a drug dealer and that her nephew is involved in a police shootout. Frankie is a street kid, and is sent to live with his aunt to see if she can help him turn his life around. He is attempting to walk the straight & narrow path, but a series of events lead him to be involved in a police shootout. Mickey was half of a popular brother/sister Vegas lounge act during the 70's. Due to a tragic stage accident, he has spent the last three decades in a wheelchair. His sister is involved in a shooting and he makes a dark decision.

You raise a very good point! I hope it is something more straightforward, not just a mistake or something similar. It would be cool to give Greg some serious action. When is the boy going to get a gun?! Though it's odd to imagine his kind of 'geeky' character carrying a firearm around...

 Greg does something that could end his carreer?! Something heroic? Something unexpected? Is he the mole? Is there a camera or something like that inside his dino? :wtf: The book he wrote was a sort of mask? No way, it is out of character...

If we think he saw the shrink after Warrick's death, i think the hostage situation may be the last straw for him. Maybe finally he is gonna lose his control abit, he is gonna kick somebody's ass or he will put his life danger to help or he will be the one who finds the mole and... So many theory in my mind right now, all i hope is Eric is not leaving and this is a just a part of a great Greg storyline.

I really hope Greg does something semi, if not completely heroic in the hostage episode. I'd like to see his character in some OH SHIT WELL NO ONE ELSE IS GONNA DO IT position. I think that would be comical and greg-like, but still pretty serious at the same time.

IF the spoilers are true, I am both excited and terrified at the same time about the Greg spoiler. I want some Greg drama but not if it means losing him.

I am also excited about the Stokes episode, but it seems Nick has pulled his gun in nearly every episode this season. Couldn't they think of something new? Like maybe he kills a suspect by running him over with his Denali -wait that's been done! Or maybe he could push somebody off a roof or in front of a city bus!! :)
