I dunno, doesn't seem too odd to me. Don't forget, Lucy is Mac's god-daughter (even if the show seems to have forgotten that fact), and if he and Christine have been going out for a couple months at this point, it seems perfectly normal that she'd go with him.

They always do that, it's so silly. What do they think is going to happen when the suspect looks up and sees an obvious cop staring between them and a photo in their hand? Shane might have mentioned her (and other characters from the past) as options for returning characters. Veasey didn't really say one way or the other whether it was a real possibility - she just said anything could happen. Personally, I think it'll probably end up being just the core characters. I wouldn't mind seeing Jo's kids or Reed or Flack's sister or someone like that, but beyond family members, there isn't anybody I can think of that I'd particularly want to take screentime away from the regulars in the (potential series) finale.
