I agree with you there, Faylinn. And yes, even as a D/L shipper, I agree with PA that a 'revenge' thing would be pointless.

I hope they don't bring Rikki back myself...why would they mention her anyway talking about people coming back? I'm confused. (This is about the interview that just got posted, 'It's Hard To Commit')

Shane might have mentioned her (and other characters from the past) as options for returning characters. Veasey didn't really say one way or the other whether it was a real possibility - she just said anything could happen. Personally, I think it'll probably end up being just the core characters. I wouldn't mind seeing Jo's kids or Reed or Flack's sister or someone like that, but beyond family members, there isn't anybody I can think of that I'd particularly want to take screentime away from the regulars in the (potential series) finale.

I agree, Fay. Unless it's a recurring character where the story line didn't already have a natural ending I wouldn't want characters from the past brought back either. Which pretty much narrows it down to the family members you mentioned. It just wouldn't make any sense to have Rikki appear out of the blue in the last episode, no matter what the reason for her return. I'm sure they just want to keep people guessing by bringing up that they haven't ruled out anything.

LOL, that clip. When Flack told the suspect "don't do anything stupid", I couldn't help the thought "you mean like Lindsay just did (putting herself in danger like that)" jumping into my head. Sure, it may have been brave (and cops are supposed to be), but that's a bit to risky. Why couldn't she just have shot the air out of his tires or something instead? LOL. Getting in the car and using yourself and your vehicle as a roadblock? Very risky. Loved her and Flack's banter though.

That preview clip was funny. Some things never change--Flack always wants to stop to get a bite to eat!

I thought the clip was very good. Loved the banterous conversation between Flack and Lindsay. I thought it was good to see her working with another male on the team because it always seems as if she works with Danny, then again, that could just be my annoying selective memory. ._.
I'm not sure why Lindsay used her car as a roadblock, I'm sure there was something else she could have done. It was a pretty decent idea though, I certainly wouldn't have thought of that. And as brave as it was I think there will definitely be some repercussions about it later on in the episode, possibly with Mac seeing as he seems to always be driving one.

Nah, I think they do have a habit of pairing her with Danny a lot of the time. She was with Mac a few eps ago though.

What's with this email thing tonight???? And when's the next ep?

Megan Dodds, Gary Sinise
Mac Taylor's social calendar may soon be getting fuller on CSI: NY.

The CBS drama has booked former Detroit 1-8-7 star Megan Dodds to appear in multiple episodes as a new love interest for Gary Sinise's Mac, executive producer Zach Reiter tells TVGuide.com. The casting comes in the same season that finally introduced Mac's wife, Claire (Jaime Ray Newman), who died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

"Leading up to the end of the season — which may or may not be the end of the show — we explore Mac's romantic life a bit," Reiter says. "We basically set that up in the premiere, having that moment where Mac releases the opera tickets into the ocean and symbolically says goodbye to Claire and that chapter of his life. We were hoping that he would be able to move on romantically. It would be a shame if a guy like him could not find love in his life."

Dodds will play Christine, a woman from Mac's past. "When Mac first moved to New York and decided to join the police department, Mac was in the police academy with Christine's brother," Reiter says. "So there's a familiarity and an association from way back when. ... But this is a woman all these years later who reaches out to reconnect, more or less to say, 'I read about what you did for the [Brooklyn Wall of Remembrance] and the survivors of 9/11. It snowballs from there."

Reiter says Dodds' character will appear in five episodes. "We'll see the courtship," he says. "If one exists. There are aspects of that relationship that become a little bit complicated, but what we're hoping is to see whether Mac can successfully move on from Claire. It's fun to see him awkwardly go through that."

Dodds, 41, co-starred as one of Drew Barrymore's evil stepsisters in Ever After: A Cinderella Story. She also appeared on such TV shows as House, Lie to Me, and the BBC's MI-5.

CSI: NY airs Fridays at 9/8c on CBS. Dodds will first appear in this season's 12th episode, which has not yet been scheduled.

It seems to me that she may have sent the friend request at the end of the last episode, although the look Mac gave does give me some doubts.
