Season 5 Ratings

Yes, these ratings still look good despite the week-to-week drop. IIRC, Criminal Minds was also down, probably due to baseball as well.

That's the positive thing -- CSI:NY seems to be tracking well with Criminal Minds, holding on to almost all the audience, and I didn't think that was the case last year.

I just saw a promo yesterday, though, that Law and Order is coming back this week -- apparently earlier than originally planned because the other show in that slot wasn't doing well. Hopefully, CSI:NY can still hold onto its ratings superiority in that timeslot.

Now that the World Series is over, NY is going to be on up against Law and Order. Numbers were down yet again.

5.06 "Enough"

CBS’ dominance continued at 10 p.m., with CSI: NY at a below-average 11.75 million viewers and a 3.3/ 9 among adults 18-49. Second was the 19th season-premiere of NBC’s Law & Order at 7.85 million viewers and a 2.2/ 7 among adults 18-49
That's not very comforting.

(From PI Feedback, as usual.)

And there go the bra straps. The drawers will be down by the time the chestburster of 510 rears its ugly head.

I vote for all of the guys taking a shower in the locker room simultaneously (the showers could have little tile half-height partitions if they feel a bit more privacy is in order).

Anywho, here are the ratings for the last episode.

5.07 "Dead Inside":

ABC scored a midweek victory, with the 42nd Annual CMA Awards at a hefty 15.87 million viewers and a 5.0 rating/13 share among adults 18-49 from 8-11 p.m., finishing first in every half hour. ... CSI: NY (Viewers: #2, 11.62 million; A18-49: #2, 3.0/ 8)
Down again from last week, but it was up against the CMAs, which doesn't help. I think ABC is going to be putting Life on Mars at 10:00pm after Lost at midseason, but I'm not sure how much that might negatively impact NY's ratings.

From PI Feedback, as usual.

Numbers were up this week. :)

5.08 "My Name is Mac Taylor":

Episode No. 100 of CBS’ CSI: NY (time flies, doesn’t it?) won the 10 p.m. hour, with 13.99 million viewers and a 3.8/10 among adults 18-49.
From PI Feedback, as usual.

Fantastic news! It's good to see that the numbers are going back up, I just hope it continues. :)

A big fat Yay!!! for the ratings bump this week! Congrats to cast and crew, and here's hoping it continues!

Not bad at all given that it was the night before Thanksgiving! Glad to see NY is doing well this season. :)

Ooh, I'd forgotten about the ratings. Here is the info (including the 18-49 demo) from the site I usually grab it from:

5.09 "The Box":

10:00 p.m.

CBS – CSI: NY
Viewers: 12.01 million (#1), A18-49: 3.0/ 9 (#1)

10:30 p.m.

CBS – CSI: NY
Viewers: 12.31 million (#1), A18-49: 3.2/10 (#1)
(From PI Feedback)

So that's an average of 12.16 million viewers (or 12.2, as was previously stated :p). Down from the 100th episode, but like you say, that's no surprise - I would have thought the pimping of the pregnancy in the promo might have upped the viewers a bit, but I guess it's a combination of factors (the night before Thanksgiving, more competition than usual because of the Barbara Walters special with Obama, etc). *shrug*

I hope the show can get back up to higher numbers, though - I find it personally discouraging when Miami gets more viewers than NY. :p

Thanks gals for the rating numbers :D However i was expecting the BEST RATING EVER. After all Ausiello stated how popular DL is:rolleyes:, how organic and natural is the baby issue:rolleyes: product of their luvvvvvvvvvv:rolleyes:

I do expect now they finish with the nonsense and go back to CSI NY:wtf: I want my show back:wtf:
