Poor Nick! Yeah, I'm thinking he's been demoted, too. :shifty:
Man, is it 9 pm yet? :scream:
Don't you mean 10 pm???
I agree... poor Nick  Guess it will take him some time to get used to D.B. :guffaw:

Please tell me again how no one on this board hates LF, just the way the TPTB brought him in and the way the writers wrote the Ray Langston character? Seems to me that only someone who hates LF would want his departure to have gone down this way. Especially when every indication has been that he left of his own accord. We all believe what we want to believe, I guess.
Again, I don't hate LF. I simply agreed with Wojo, regardless of the flack it brings.
I think LF tried to do his best for the show. It appears that he/they thought that his presence as a film star would re-invigorate the ratings, whereas it instead seemed to bring the ratings down after 2 1/2 years. After his time on the show it was obviously not working. I'm sorry, but from other accounts I've read (NOT rag sheets, I don't read those) it was not HIS choice to leave. He continued to make movies while doing CSI, so it's not like he needed to leave in order to continue his film career. He himself stated that he was not looking to leave (I do have that interview), so it doesn't seem logical that he would change his mind in less than 30 days. I simply think that TPTB decided to not renew his contract in order to try and appease long time viewers and change the direction of the show. Nobody was ready to throw in the towel yet, which I for one, am extremely glad they didn't! That doesn't mean I hate Laurence Fishburne.
And I simply disagree with anyone who thinks LF was fired, regardless of the flak (no c) it brings.
I don't read rag sheets either. Please cite the sources that led you to think he was fired vs. leaving of his own accord. I'd like to read them.
Why is it illogical to think that maybe he changed his mind somewhere in between the time he said he "wasn't going anywhere" and the time he sat down at the contract negotiating table? His own agent was surprised to learn he left, for cryin' out loud. TPTB had to scramble to find a replacement and rewrites had to be done. People can change their mind in 30 days or 30 seconds. There's no logic involved at all. Happens every day.
No one disputes that the ratings of CSI have gone down in the 2-1/2 seasons that LF was there. The fact of the matter is that, with the exception of season 9 when WP left, the ratings for CSI have been going down steadily every season since season 5. To attribute the decline in ratings to LF is extremely unfair.
I am a long time viewer and I liked LF on the show and did not need to be "appeased". This board does not speak for the entire fan fase, so please stop deluding yourselves that TPTB did something YOU wanted them to do.
CSI Files: And how many episodes do you think you will be in this season?
Fox: We’re talking somewhere between fifteen and seventeen.
CSI Files: One of my favorite moments of the season so far is Sara teasing Morgan (Elisabeth Harnois) about her driving in episode two. The smirk you two exchange is worth a million bucks!
The exchanges that you see in the next couple episodes, particularly with Eric Szmanda who plays Greg Sanders and Morgan, are priceless
Fox: Yeah, I’m still advocating for the musical actually. [Laughs.] That may be the episode that I do try to write because I think everyone in the writers’ room is definitely opposed to it, which I completely get. [Laughs.] So maybe I think I’ll write that episode and present it and then see if they think it’s awful. Which they probably will, but it’d be a great exercise for me.
CSI Files: It would make a great lab rats episode!
^ There was an ep not too long ago where Doc Robbins was playing a guitar in his band.
Ok, so I've been thinking about this supposedly love triangle. Here's my thoughts:
Greg 'likes' Morgan, Morgan 'likes' Nick and Nick will have nothing to do with her. Greg gets mad that she likes Nick and tells Nick he wants to 'meet' him in the parking lot after schoo...err work to beat him up. After all Morgain is his, not Nicks.:lol:
