The team moves to L.A. under the watchful but respectful eye of LAPD DETECTIVE SOSA, as Nate Haskell turns his murderous sights on Langston's ex-wife and her fiance.

Who is Sosa??

Geeeee...going after Ray's ex-wife. How original. I mean, we all called it as soon as we knew she was going to be on the show! :lol: What other reason would there be for that?

Sosa is a new character appearing in the episode. Truthfully, I was hoping they'd bring back Annie Kramer and Matt Glazer from "Hollywood Brass."

Great intereview, Shane! I particularly enjoyed the question referring to the Haskel/Ray/Gloria bit as possibly being like Se7en. :lol:

I appreciate the compliment. I saw Se7en for the first time back in December and it's a great film. Guess we'll wait and see if CSI goes that route.

Se7en was an awesome film; but, then again, it had Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow and Kevin Spacey.
I'm not sure CSI could do justice to that premise, and I really don't want them to try.
I'd like to care about this storyline, because I really did like Tracee Ross in the role of Ray's ex; but, sadly, I don't.

Given her/his relationship with her/his mother/father, she/he may be seen as a "spy" or as the antithesis of her/his mom/dad, as she/he goes the extra mile to help the CSI team.

Previously he said an "LAPD" detective. I thought it said LVPD and didn't know who he meant.

I never thought of that. When do we get the cast list? Brass isn't her bio-dad, but I doubt she has contact with her real dad either. IMDB doesn't list the actress in any upcoming eps but that doesn't prove anything obviously.

I thought about her too, since they're in LA. It would be interesting to see how she's doing now. They've already had 2 different actresses playing Ellie, so who knows if it would even be the same one as before anyway.

Ellie doesn't know that Brass isn't her real father. She was never told, so she wouldn't be in contact with her real father.

Yeah, that's true. My hunch is that Brass figured that if he told her, he'd never have a chance to get through to her.

It's still the 'estranged from bio dad' thing' that throws me...she doesn't know he's not her bio dad, so she wouldn't be 'estranged' from her real dad...she doesn't know another guy is her real dad.

We must remember that we are talking about continuity-challenged CSI writers here. Details like real paternity may have slipped into their memory hole.
