Sara Says Goodbye

CSI Files

Captain
<font color=yellow>Jorja Fox</font>'s final episode as Sara Sidle airs next week.

The November 15 episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, "Goodbye and Good Luck", will be Fox's last appearance as Sara Sidle. So far this season, Sara has been questioning whether or not she wants to continue being a CSI. In "Goodbye and Good Luck", a case from her past comes back to haunt her, and she makes the decision to leave.

Fox spoke to the Official CSI Magazine about leaving the show. She explained the choice to have Sara leave in this manner, rather than have her die at the hands of the miniature serial killer in "Dead Doll". "I did not want Sara to die," she said. "I did not want that to be the way she went out. I have played characters that have died before so I am not afraid of that. It can actually make really good drama and it certainly happens in real life where people we know and love die. But I just didn't want that to be the end for Sara."

Columnist Mike Ausiello revealed a few tidbits about "Goodbye and Good Luck" without giving away too many details. According to him, Sara leaves at night in a vehicle of some sort, and the episode ends with a close-up of a different character. TV Guide will have a list of Sara's five best moments in next week's edition: her emotional attachment to the victim in season one's "Too Tough to Die", her fearless behavior in "Play with Fire" during season three, the confession of her past in the season five episode "Nesting Dolls", the revelation of her relationship with Grissom in the season six finale, "Way to Go", and the inner strength (and lonliness) she showed in "Dead Doll". Executive producer <font color=yellow>Carol Mendelsohn</font> recalls her own emotional response to the end of "Dead Doll": "I cry every time I see [that scene] when Grissom finally finds her."

"Goodbye and Good Luck" will air on November 15. The information from the Official CSI Magazine can be found here (please be aware that the article contains MAJOR spoilers about the upcoming episode). The Ask Ausiello column can be found at TV Guide.com. Check out next week's edition of TV Guide for the list of Sara's best moments on CSI.<center></center>

As much as I enjoy Jorja as an actress, Sara is really annoying me at the moment. Granted, I get that they want to make a big deal about her exit but hey, it's not like she's dying. She can come back when ever!

Make the point and move on dudes, don't drag it out too much and ruin the sentiment of it all.

Amen. It's been drawn out for so long that it's to the point no one really wants to hear about it anymore.

Yes PLEASE.

Agreed with everyone else, it's been dragged about for too long. I understand she has a rather large fanbase but as an occasional CSI-watcher and not the utmost fan of Sara, it's getting tiresome.

Though I do like their decision not to kill her off. It may bode well with ratings, but rarely with the fans so I'm glad they went down this route. I only wish every CSI show did this. It becomes a pain in the ass once they choose to apease the character's fans later on.

Yeah, at least with Sara they are giving her a chance to come back. (Granted, they brought Speed back and he died) but it's a different route and I am glad they chose to take it. I wish Jorja all the luck in the world and hope to see her back one day...

Now on that note, leave.

The one way I'll scream is if they pull another Aiden with us and bring her back to die. That made me mad once I'd seen S1 of NY and got to know Aiden a bit.

Well said!

Trust me, I'm counting down the minutes until she's gone. It's just absolutely disgusting how much they've dragged this out, and even the possibility that she may be back sometime in the future just further frustrates me.

It's time to build that bridge and Get.Over.It.

Everybody ont the count of 3 push!!
ONE...

TWO....

THREE... PUSH

:lol::lol:

I bet if the four of us did push there wouldn't be to much resistance!

I still thin that she should have died back in Dead Doll, then this would have all been resolved in one fell swoop and we wouldn't be forced to be annoyed fruther.

Could, the just stop taking it up like once a day, get i over with and take her back for guest play from time to time.

PLEASE STAY, or hurry up and come back.. Grissom took a brief time out, so we'll wait in anticipation of your returing, and today on "THE VIEW" Jorja stated, "Sara will return" she's got like 5 different threads alone on this 'forum' so she's exxtremly popular, but apparently not with most of the fans who commented here, which I find a bit strange, if someone I didn't care for someone that was leaving, I'd probably not comment, because I wouldn't care..I can't wait till she comes back. a part of the heart of CSI will be mssing until her return ;)
