Sandle Songs

I don't know the first one but I really love 'Angel', Sarah McLachlan has such a beautiful voice.

Yeah, she really does. I haven't yet heard one song of her that's not beautiful. And from now on "Angel" is gonna remind me of Sandle, so I'll love it even more.

Might I suggest Frank Sinatra's 'It had to be you'

Why do I do, just as you say
Why must I just, give you your way
Why do I sigh, why don?t I try - to forget

It must have been, that something lovers call fate
Kept me saying: "i have to wait"
I saw them all, just couldn?t fall - ?til we met

It had to be you, it had to be you
I wandered around, and finally found - the somebody who
Could make me be true, and could make me be blue
And even be glad, just to be sad - thinking of you

Some others I?ve seen, might never be mean
Might never be cross, or try to be boss
But they wouldn?t do
For nobody else, gave me a thrill - with all your faults, I love
you still
It had to be you, wonderful you
It had to be you

Or "i'll Be Seeing You' which probably fits better when Sara is more obsessed with Grissom to see anyone else (Greg)

(GREG POV)

I’ll be seeing you;
In all the old, familiar places;
That this heart of mine embraces;
All day through.

In that small cafe;
The park across the way;
The children’s carousel;
The chestnut tree;
The wishing well.

I’ll be seeing you;
In every lovely, summer’s day;
And everything that’s bright and gay;
I’ll always think of you that way;
I’ll find you in the morning sun;
And when the night is new;
I’ll be looking at the moon;
But I’ll be seeing you.

There aren't many songs that are Sara's POV, are they?

I've been looking for some as I'd like to make a video (though moviemaker hates me).

euh i post that song because somebody (fantastic person though very talented ;))use it on a fic

She’s got me spendin’.
Spendin' all your money on me, up on me, on me.

Hey, cool, no one's posted my Sandle song yet.
I really think that this song is totally like Sara, oh... and Greggo, too.
She Don't Want Nobody Near-Counting Crows

She don’t want nobody near
But she can't get away from that
They appear and disappear
And they all have got strings attached
Pretty soon they've got you hanging on the line
Pretty soon they’re singin’ one by one, the same old rhyme
They say, "I'm all right, I just can’t get home tonight."

She don't want nobody home
’Cause it's a little too crowded there
She don't want to be alone
So they just keep pourin’ in
Pretty soon they've got her headed for the door
She comes home to find that they’re not hangin’ round no more
She says, "I'm all right, you just can’t get home tonight."
Don’t you wonder what she looks like in the light?
She says “I’m all right, I just can’t get home tonight.”

Pretty whitewashed lies, endless alibis,
And reasons that need cleanin’ every night
Half a world away, you can't wash away
The stain of her deceivin’
And the things that you could not believe in

Well, she don't want no one around
’Cause she don't want anybody to see
What she looks like when she's down
’Cause that’s a really sad place to be
Pretty soon she gets them crawling up the walls
Then she wonders why they beg her please, then never call
She says, "I'm okay, it's all right, hey, look who’s on TV tonight.”
She says, "I'm all right, I just can't get home tonight."
Don’t you wonder why it’s dark outside at night?
She says “I’m all right, I just can’t get home tonight.”
She says “I’m all right, I just can’t get home tonight.”

ooh... and Mrs. Potter's Lullaby by the Counting Crows
Well I woke in mid-afternoon cause that's when it all hurts the most
I dream I never know anyone at the party and I'm always the host
If dreams are like movies, then memories are films about ghosts
You can never escape, you can only move south down the coast

well, I am an idiot walking a tightrope of fortune and fame
I am an acrobat swinging trapezes through circles of flame
If you've never stared off in the distance, then your life is a shame
and though I'll never forget your face,
sometimes i can't remember my name

Hey Mrs. Potter don't cry
Hey Mrs. Potter I know why but
Hey Mrs. Potter won't you talk to me

Well, there's a piece of Maria in every song that I sing
And the price of a memory is the memory of the sorrow it brings
And there is always one last light to turn out and one last bell to ring
And the last one out of the circus has to lock up everything

Or the elephants will get out and forget to remember what you said
And the ghosts of the tilt-a-whirl will linger inside your head
And the ferris wheel junkies will spin there forever instead
When I see you a blanket of stars covers me in my bed

Hey Mrs. Potter don't go
Hey Mrs. Potter I don't know but
Hey Mrs. Potter won't you talk to me

All the blue light reflections that color my mind when I sleep
And the lovesick rejections that accompany the company I keep
All the razor perceptions that cut just a little too deep
Hey I can bleed as well as anyone, but I need someone to help me sleep

So I throw my hand into the air and it swims in the beams
It's just a brief interruption of the swirling dust sparkle jet stream
Well, I know I don't know you and you're probably not what you seem
But I'd sure like to find out
So why don't you climb down off that movie screen

Hey Mrs. Potter don't turn
Hey Mrs. Potter I burn for you
Hey Mrs. Potter won't you talk to me

When the last king of Hollywood shatters his glass on the floor
and orders another
Well, I wonder what he did that for
That's when I know that I have to get out cause I have been there before
So I gave up my seat at the bar and I head for the door

We drove out to the desert just to lie down beneath this bowl of stars
We stand up in the palace like it's the last of the great pioneer town bars
We shout out these songs against the clang of electric guitars
You can see a million miles tonight
But you can't get very far
Oh, you can see a million miles tonight
But you can't get very far

Hey Mrs. Potter I won't touch
Hey Mrs. Potter it's not much but
Hey Mrs. Potter won't you talk to me

There aren't many songs that are Sara's POV, are they?

I've been looking for some as I'd like to make a video (though moviemaker hates me).

I think if you want a song from Sara's PoV you might try songs from female singers. :)

I looooovvvvveeee josh groban and all his songs are just beautiful. this songs reminds me of sandle, but in the future. reminds me in the future, hmmmm.... not sure if that makes sense, anyway, here it is.

When You Say You Love Me

Like the sound of silence calling
I hear your voice and suddenly I’m falling
Lost in a dream
Like the echoes of our souls are meeting
You say those words, my heart stops beating
I wonder what it means
What could it be that comes over me
At times I can’t move
At times I can hardly breathe
When you say you love me
The world goes still, so still inside and
When you say you love me
For a moment, there’s no one else alive

You’re the one I’ve always thought of
I don’t know how, but I feel sheltered in your love
You’re where I belong
And when you’re with me, if I close my eyes
There are times I swear I feel like I can fly
For a moment in time
Somewhere between the heavens and earth
Frozen in time
Oh, when you say those words

When you say you love me
The world goes still, so still inside and
When you say you love me
For a moment, there’s no one else alive

And this journey that we’re on
How far we’ve come and I
Celebrate every moment
And when you say you love me
That’s all you have to say
I’ll always feel this way

When you say you love me
The world goes still, so still inside and
When you say you love me
In that moment, I know why I’m alive
When you say you love me
When you say you love me
Do you know how I love you?

Makes loads of sense, I'll be setting there and hear a song and think, this is like Sara and Greg, but not yet. I mean maybe (we can only hope) that song will be Absolutely-Sandle in the future.

Great song ideas!

This one isn't Sandle-ish per se but it totally reminds me of Sara:

"Independence Day" by Martina McBride

Well, she seemed alright by dawn's early light
Though she looked a little worried and weak
She tried to pretend he wasn't drinkin' again
But Daddy left the proof on her cheek
I was only eight years old that summer
And I always seemed to be in the way
So I took myself down to the fair in town
On Independence Day

Well, word gets around in a small, small town
They said he was a dangerous man
But Mama was proud, and she stood her ground
She knew she was on the losin' end
Some folks whispered, some folks talked
But everybody looked the other way
When time ran out, there was no one about
On Independence Day

Let freedom ring
Let the white dove sing
Let the whole world know that today
Is a day of reckoning
Let the weak be strong
Let the right be wrong
Roll the stone away
Let the guilty pay
It's Independence Day

Well, she lit up the sky that Fourth of July
By the time that the firemen come
They just put out the flames and took down some names
And sent me to the county home
Now, I'm ain't sayin' it's right or it's wrong
But maybe it's the only way
Talk about your revolution
It's Independence Day

These two remind me of Sandle from Greg's pov:

"Sex And Candy" by Marcy Playground

Hangin' round downtown by myself
And I had so much time
To sit and think about myself
And then there she was
Like double cherry pie
Yeah there she was
Like disco superfly

I smell sex and candy here
Who's that lounging in my chair
Who's that casting devious stares
In my direction
Mama this surely is a dream

Hangin' round downtown by myself
And I had too much caffeine
And I was thinkin' 'bout myself
And then there she was
In platform double suede
Yeah there she was
Like disco lemonade

I smell sex and candy here
Who's that lounging in my chair
Who's that casting devious stares
In my direction
Mama this surely is a dream
Mama this surely is a dream

I smell sex and candy here
Who's that lounging in my chair
Who's that casting devious stares
In my direction
Mama this surely is a dream
Mama this surely is a dream
Yeah mama this must be my dream

"I Got A Feeling" by Billy Currington

I don't wanna rush this thing
I don't wanna jump the gun
I really wanna say those three little words
But I'm gonna bite my tongue

Yeah, I'm just gonna lay back
Leave it on cruise control
I'm gonna hold it all inside
Till the right time comes down the road

I got a feelin'
My head's a reelin'
My heart is screamin'
I'm about to bust loose
Bottled up emotion
It's more than a notion
It starts with an "I"
And ends with a "U"
I got a feelin'
Are you feelin' it too?

I guess I've all but said it now
So much for hopin' you'd go first
Don't leave me hangin' out here on a line
Baby, it's your turn
Say you couldn't sleep last night
Swore that you could feel me breathe
Had you wantin' me there by your side
Yeah, baby I know what you mean

I got a feelin'
My head's a reelin'
My heart is screamin'
I'm about to bust loose
Bottled up emotion
It's more than a notion
It starts with an "I"
And ends with a "U"
I got a feelin'
You're feelin' it too

Crazy Love by Brian McKnight. I hear that song and Sandle pops into my head. Such a romantic song, for a romantic couple!

Someone said something about not enough Sandle songs from Sara's POV. How 'bout this one?

Vanessa Carlton - Ordinary Day

Just a day
Just an ordinary day
Just tryin' to get by
Just a boy
Just an ordinary boy
But he was lookin' to the sky
And as he asked me if I'd come along
I started to realize-
That everyday he finds
Just what he's lookin' for
Like a shooting star he shines

He said
Take my hand
Live while you can
Don't you feel the dreams are right in the palm of your hand

And as he spoke, he spoke ordinary words
Although they did not feel, no
For I felt what I had not felt before
You'd swear those words could heal
And as I looked up into those eyes
His vision borrows mine
And to know he's no stranger
For I feel I've held him for all of time

And he said
Take my hand
Live while you can
Don't you feel the the dreams are right in the palm of your hand,
In the palm of your hand
In the palm of your hand

Please come with me
See what I see
Touch the stars for time will not flee
Time will not flee
Can you see

Just a dream, just an ordinary dream
As I wake in bed
And the boy
That ordinary boy
Or was it all in my head?
Did he ask if I would come along
It all seemed so real
But as I looked to the door
I saw that boy standin' there with a deal
And he said
Take my hand
Live while you can
Don't you feel the dreams are right in the palm of your hand
In the palm of your hand
In the palm of your hand

Just a day, just an ordinary day
Just tryin' to get by

Just a boy
Just an ordinary boy
But he was lookin' to the sky

Yeah, a great Sandle song. Never thought about it before either. Weird how you can listen to song after song to find some you can make videos of, or something, and you miss the obvious ones. :D
