Ryan/Natalia/Frank/Valera petition thread!

Frank, Frank, Frank

I love Frank - he brightens the mood around there, & lord knows it's needed. I'd love to "meet" his children or ex-wife. I think it would add some needed comedy, more than drama - I could totally go for that.

I can also say that about Valera with the comical part. She has the right personality for it. I don't think it would be that hard to find something that could involve her personal life with one of the crimes.
Granted this isn't a comedy show, but the other "sisters" don't ever shy away from it. There's always a few jokesters in the bunch somewhere.


Ryan- my main bug is how he got his job back. It's probably too past gone to bring it up now, but that's the part about his screentime lack that get's to me. 'Sunblock' he came in with his job back but with no explanation as to how & why. There was a great opportunity to show development with his firing/re-hiring. Instead of writing in something about that, they again passed it off for more "triangle" coverage.
'All in' was another good one to involve a little development with the gambling aspect - the whole reason he was fired to begin with! Even just showing a few moments or comments from Ryan about the dangers of it would have been a nice touch.

With Natalia, there could have been a little development in 'Deep Freeze' with her shoulder/shooting. Why couldn't the box that fell hold evidence crucial to a case or something- or anything deepen with her arm/shooting!? She's a csi, it's not like that would be pulling away from the aspect of the show!

It's those things that truly disappoint me, cause there was enough there to be creative with - instead it was wasted.

I started watching Miami in s4, and then I went back and watched the earlier episodes. I came across the one with Frank, when his wife hired the detective, and I was really surprised to actually see him feature prominently in an episode! I enjoyed it more because it wasn't the same old faces. But that has been it. Brass in Vegas gets at least one story line per season and I think that Frank deserves at least one every other season! There is so much they could do with him.
And Valera. The other shows have well developed lab techs, and they add a lot to the show. Even Bobby Dawson has it better than Valera.
And Im not going to get started on Ryan.....

I have seen that Ryan will play a big part in H's shooting - that is at least SOMETHING - however - do I need ask if anyone else is even breathing in this episode

So far I have yet to see (spoiler wise) if Ryan is actually developing from this or if it was TPTB's "way" of just throwing him in ; like his "firing" that hardly lasted.

From the video it looks like he plays a major part in the episode! I hope! Hopefully Valera and Frank and Natalia will wiggle their ways in too. I don't think he'll just be thrown in, it should be pretty good. But for the episodes after that....I haven't heard any spoilers about any of his character development. For ECH: different story. :scream:

I actually don't know if it will do a lot of good posting on CBS. For one there seems to be way too many threads stating Calleigh and Eric need to get together.That seems to be the focus for a lot of the CBS posters.And another is that there are those posting on CBS that still think Horatio is dead,Ryan did it ,etc.I doubt if some of these posters will see any imbalance in characters air time and story lines. I 'm sure some will get it.Others will be too focused on the triangle and who knows what else.

I know - but that is kinda the point here in getting discussion about what the show is lacking ....other character's stories/screentime & character interaction.

We can't expect tptb to know our thought's if we don't speak them. I think eventually things will turn around for the other characters anyway, but I don't think it would hurt to express our opinions right now & give them something to chew on.

Believe me, Im in the line of thinking that TPTB do what they want regardless of what fans want - even if it's what the majority of fans want- this has been proven in past seasons.
Still, whether this topic is considered minority or not - it's still out there for discussion ...or just for our pure ranting pleasure!!

I do know what your saying.Perhaps even a few expressing their thoughts will do some good and catch the eyes of TPTB. My point really was what the discussion would focus on for some.

The whole "its done" thing is most likely what they call a red herring. Just as is the scene with Kyle and the gun. Anyway, here's hoping they'll give RNFV more character development. Here's an idea:

Valera has a younger sister or brother who gets accused of murder or something and Valera is all upset and even sheds a few tears asking Ryan and Nat to help prove her sibling's innocence. Valera and Natalia seemed to be pretty good friends and Valera and Ryan seem to get along pretty well. I think C & E would have their own stuff going on, so Valera would ask R & N instead. Then Nat would say she'd do everything she could cause she knows Valera would do it for her if it was one of her sisters. And Ryan could maybe mention whatever sibling gave him a niece. That way we get more talk about the family of all of three characters. And then throw in Frank helping them on the investigation and maybe he could mention his kids at some point. I just wanna know more about their families. :lol: We know a lot about Eric and Horatio's families and then of course Calleigh's dad.

Ryan isn't forgotten but I think we need to know about his past a little more, to see if it was good or bad. Natalia is ok, I think, she has had her fair share of personal stories. Frank's ok, I dont realy mind him being there or not.

BUT!

They need more screen time, and not only in there personal stories. I know, 85% sure, that Ryan'll get more screen time on the ressurection but Nat and Frank, mabe not.

I wonder who disagreed. Was it you Holly?

^^HAHA! Yeah, I honestly thought that Ryan would get about 5 seconds and be done with in Resurrection and the rest would be Eric and Calleigh angst.

Judging from the spoiler video, it looks like he'll get a little more in this episode than season 6. As for the rest of the season? Who knows, we'll have to see.

I would like to see Natalia's reaction, but I'm glad that the first minute just had the little trio. It would have felt a little weird if Nat was there too.

I hope Frank shows up on the scene. It will be interesting to see what he does. Or what he says to Ryan!

Oh! And Valera! What will she do? I know she's in the episode, so hopefully she'll have more to say than, "Well, here's your DNA evidence. Let me go change my hair and disappear for the rest of the episode!"

Hahaha. That's so true. I'm a fairly new Miami fan[Vegas will always be my one true love], but I think Valeras hair will always amaze me. I watched some episodes of the fourth season yesterday, and the one thing I really noticed was how much her hair changed! Now she's magically been made a blond that looks like she's been attacked by Helen Keller with scissors.

Either way, she still needs more screentime. They all do.

That's a great idea. I would love to see RFNV get more screen time and that would be perfect. Maybe throw in something about Ryan's OCD too. Is it just me or have the writers forgotten that Ryan is supposed to be obsessive-compulsive.
