Don't you just love it when a suspect is like "you can't do that!" when the CSIs have a warrant to do exactly what the suspect is saying they can't do?

HAHA! I do love that. Flack (even though he's a detective not a CSI) is the king of doing that!!! It was even better with Ryan.. his "I'll be gentle." Line was the BEST!!! I know there is so much more potential with Ryan's character... I wish they would work more on showing his past. As some of you said, it would very much play into why he's the person he is. And I must say, I don't think he seems out of place with Walter and/or Jesse at all. Quite the opposite... he seems extremely relaxed and chilled. I think he enjoys someone actually liking him rather than holding a grudge or judging him so much- :)

I have always been intrigued by the scene between Ryan and Alex in Rush where Alex asks Ryan if he has ever seen anyone go through detox. Ryan looked very uncomfortable with the question and blew her off. I interpret that as being a yes he has and that it was a relative or someone close. I have been waiting ever since to see if they develop that scene, and they haven't. Did you guys interpret that scene the same way or am I way off?

I don't even remember that scene to be honest. I kind of think maybe if there's someone in his family that went through that then it's Uncle Ron. I don't know what makes me think that, it just would fit to me.

Horatio told the guy beforehand that ship now belonged to the them (so they could process it for evidence).

You know, this may sound weird but I almost enjoy it when a suspect pulls that attitude because it seems that when are CSIs are at their best. And the best snarky lines come out:)

I'm sorry, but I gotta say that any civilian shelling out lots of money to take a trip in a spaceship should have to prepare themselves and get trained first just like the astronaunts do (just not as extensively, but enough). I sure as heck would ask that it be part of the package if I were gonna go.

THANK YOU GNRF!! That is what I was trying to say on the episode thread. Space travel is so iffy anyway that just sending people up just because they pay for the privilege (I know why some space programs do it; just to keep these programs going) is risky at best, and these people aren't prepared in the event something goes wrong. Maybe transport us back 65 or so years ago and maybe this was the way some felt toward airline flight.

I forgot to mention this: I loved it when Ryan sincerely thanked Mike for adjusting the measurements for American. It was like he was grateful that he didn't have to try and figure out the British one. And it made me chuckle when Travers told him that he better use the calculator.

I do think though that in some ways Ryan seems a little tougher this season. I think he thinks that the Russian Mafia picked him because he was in their mind the most vulnerable and the "weakest link", so he figures if he acts a little tougher maybe that would never happen to him again. Of course that could just be me over-analyzing the situation.

^^ The Russian Mafia (according to Ivan) seemed to know the team fairly well.Ivan mentioned the team falling apart, and I agreed with that. He knew for the most part(I think) that the team was in such a state that a team member could go missing, and there wouldn't be too much of a search for that team member.I don't think Ryan was picked because he wasn't tough, but he was the team member that presented the greatest opportunity to be taken and not missed as quickly.Knowing that they (the team) was targeted, the members of the team should have been looking out for one another,Ivan knew that they weren't doing that and he seemed to know where the team members were.He said as much to Horatio,he asked if H knew where his team was, that he did. Ryan had also pissed the Russian Mafia off earlier,so they may have also been looking to teach him a lesson. I'm probably over analyzing too.

I don't think that what I said is necessarily why Ryan was picked as the one to kidnap... I just think that this is what Ryan himself may think.

And I agree with you that out of all the CSIs, Ryan was one most likely not to be missed as quickly. Horatio's the boss, so it would be noticed more quickly if he wasn't there, Eric and Calleigh were in a relationship, so one of them would notice if the other wasn't there. Nat would be missed if Val wasn't there to do DNA cause then it would be Nat's job. Tara was the M.E. so it would be strange if she weren't there... plus the M.E. couldn't have done much of what they needed done anyway. Ryan was just the odd man out unfortunately for him.

Just something to keep us going; until the dust settles. Ryan scenes from "Miami We Have A Problem".

BTW last night's episode was my second fav of the season behind "Miami We Have A Problem"; loved the comedic interactions of Ryan and Walter. I guess this epi. was the first time I thought Walter could possibly grow on me, b/c he brings out the light hearted Ryan. And Ryan is becoming more comfortable within the team. Imo he doesn't have anything to prove to anyone now.

Thanks for the video slower.Any video that highlights Ryan is great.
I'm waiting for an episode that highlight's Ryan, but in a good way. The great unquestionable,no doubt hero episode.

AWESOME vid. My fav episode of the season, by far. I love all the scenes with Ryan.. but I am with you guys. Its beyond time for a POSITIVE storyline to come his way. Jumping in the pool to save a drowning kid gets my vote as well... :D

Actually I'd be happy to forget the kids/cats/dogs/hamsters, just get in the damn pool!

:p

 yeah, Ryan hanging out with Jesse, Dave, Walter (possibly also Mike [Travers]) in the pool would be awesome. Just the boys having fun. I could actually see them horsing around and one of them pushing another one in the pool. If Ryan had on a t-shirt (and one of those tight ones like he likes to wear) and one of the others pushed him into the pool, I'd forever love that guy... especially if the shirt was white.
Not that I don't already love all the guys, but just saying. I'd be so grateful to them. :D
