Over on CBS, Madam Secretary (11.5 mil/1.5) and The Good Wife (10.3 mil/1.3) each ticked down 5 percent and a tenth, while CSI (8.9 mil/1.4) grew 10 percent and a tenth.
The Good Wife polled well this Sunday night, drawing 10.8 million total viewers and a 1.4 demo rating, up 4 percent and a tenth week-to-week, and against a more robust NBC football game.
Opening the Eye’s night, Madam Secretary (12.4 mil/1.4) rose 8 percent in audience while steady in the demo. And come 10 pm, CSI (8.8 mil/1.4) was flat.
CBS’ CSI returned from two successive weeks of preemptions to 8.6 million total viewers and a 1.2 demo rating, down 3 and 14 percent from its last fresh outing.
Opening the Eye’s night — and pending adjustments due to slight NFL overrun — Madam Secretary (12.6 mil/1.4) was down 5 and 22 percent, while The Good Wife (10.7 mil/1.4) was steady.

CBS | Pending final adjustments due to NFL overrun, Madam Secretary (12.6 mil/1.8) is currently up 20 percent in the demo, The Good Wife (10.1 mil/1.4) inched up one tenth and CSI (7.9 mil/1.3) was flat.
CBS | Pending any adjustment due to a whiff of NFL overrun, Madam Secretary (13 mil/1.9) is currently looking at gains of 5 and 19 percent. The Mentalist returned to 10.4 mil/1.6, up 7 percent in audience while matching the demo of its previous premiere (and improving on Good Wife’s most recent 10.3 mil/1.4). CSI (7.9 mil/1.4) ticked up a tenth.
CBS | Back-to-back colorized I Love Lucy episodes averaged 9.4 mil and a 1.4. With that softer-than-Madam Secretary lead-in, The Mentalist (8.6mil/1.1) fell 21 and 30 percent and CSI (7.9 mil/1.2) slipped 5 and 14 percent, hitting and tying series lows.
CBS | Undercover Boss returned to 9 mil and a 1.7, up 10 percent and a tenth from its previous premiere (which aired on a Friday). The Mentalist (8.4 mil/1.3) rose two tenths, while CSI (7.4 mil/1.2) was steady.
On CBS, NFL Football garnered a preliminary 4.7 adults 18-49 rating. 60 Minutes scored a preliminary 1.9, up 19 percent from last week's 1.6 adults 18-49 rating. Undercover Boss earned a preliminary 1.4, down 18 percent from last week’s 1.7 adults 18-49 rating. The Mentalist matched last week's 1.3 adults 18-49 rating. CSI matched last week's 1.2 adults 18-49 rating.
* Pending adjustments due to NFL overrun, CBS’ controversial Undercover Boss (with very roughly 9.4 million viewers and a 1.7 rating), The Mentalist (~8.1 mil/1.4) and CSI (~7.7 mil/1.5) are currently looking at upticks of anywhere from one to three tenths. (Reminder: The Mentalist now moves to Wednesdays at 8, starting Jan. 7.)

Next on the Eye net was a Sunday 8 p.m. edition of inspirational “Undercover Boss” at a dominant 5.5/ 8 from 8-9 p.m., followed by back-to-back original episodes of “CSI” (9 p.m.: #1, 5.3/ 8; 10 p.m.: #2: 5.1/ 8), which remains on the fence for renewal next season.
