Chapter 13
2 days later
“Daddy?” Brayden asked as he watched Eric pack up the back of his Hummer.
"Yea Brayden?”
“Where are we going?”
“We are going to Mexico!” Eric said picking him up and putting him in his car seat.
“Why are we going there?”
“We’re going to see Carrie” He said as he shut his door and hopped in the drivers seat.
“Carrie?”
“Yea, she wants to see us!”
“But what about mommy?” He said as he felt tears coming to his eyes.
“You’ll see her again. I promise.”
“You said people never keep promises.”
“Well, I always keep mine.”

Natalia had been tryin to call Eric but every time she called his house no one ever answered, and the line always said that it had been disconnected.
“Hmm, that’s weird.” She said as she looked down at the phone.
“What?” Calleigh said as she looked up from her magazine.
“It says the line has been disconnected.”
“Well maybe his power went off or something.”
“I don’t know something just doesn’t feel right. I’m gonna call Ryan.”
“Ok.” Calleigh said as she got up and walked up stairs.
“Hello?” Ryan said.
“Hey Ryan it’s Natalia.”
“Oh, hey.”
“Um…I’ve been trying to get a hold of Eric and it keeps on saying that his line has been disconnected.”
“Oh, he didn’t tell you?”
“Tell me what?” She said as she stopped walking to the living room.
“He and Brayden are moving to Mexico cause Carrie got the job.”
“What?!” She said as she could feel herself starting to cry and going weak.
“Yea, I think his plane leaves at like 2.”
“Thanks for telling me Ryan.”
“You’re welcome!”
“Natalia, what is it?” Maxine said.
“Yea, you look like you’ve seen a ghost.” Calleigh said laughing.
“I-I gotta go to the airport.” Natalia said as she grabbed her purse and headed for the door.
“Why?” Maxine asked.
“Eric and Brayden are moving to Mexico.” She said as she could feel the tears stinging her eyes.
“Oh my God, are you serious? What time does his plane leave?” Calleigh asked.
“2.”
“Girl you better fly down there cause it’s 1:30 now.” Maxine said as she pointed to the clock.
“Alright I’ll see ya’ll later.” Natalia said as she opened the door.
“Bye.” Maxine said waving her hand.
"Bye.” Natalia said as she slammed the door.
(Natalia’s flyin down the interstate)
“God, I can’t believe he would do this. And not even tell me, or let me say good-bye to Brayden at least.” She said out loud to herself.
“Breathe Natalia Breathe, ugh I can’t take this.” She said as she turned the radio on.

“Oh my God, are you serious? I don’t need music like this right now.” She said as she flipped to another station.

"Ugh….” As she changes the station again.
(Wait For You by Elliot Yamin is playing on this station)
“Ok, fine, you win! I give up!” She said as she threw her hands in the air.
A few minutes later she reached the airport with the plane leaving in 5 min. She runs through the airport asking people where the gate for the flight to Mexico is.
“Where is the gate for the flight to Mexico?”
“I think it’s right down there.” An older man said pointing in a direction.
“Ok thank you.”
“The flight to Mexico is boarding now.” Said a voice over the intercom
Natalia raced over to the gate to see Eric and Brayden standing in line.
"Brayden!” Natalia screamed.
“Mommy?” Brayden said as he turned around and saw Natalia standing right there.
“Daddy, daddy look it’s mommy!” He said as he pulled on his dads pants and pointed in her direction.
“Natalia? What are you doing here?" Eric said as she walked up to him.
“Why didn’t you call and tell me that you were leaving?” She said with tears in her eyes.
“Cause I didn’t want to hurt you.”
“Well how do you think I feel now?”
“Mommy?” Brayden said.
“Yea, baby?” She said as she bent down to him.
“Are you coming with us?”
“I can’t baby, I’m sorry.” She said as tears started falling.
“You promised me you would never leave again!” He screamed at the top of his lungs and ran off.
“Brayden.” Eric yelled but it was too late Brayden had already ran and sat in one of the chairs.
Eric looked back at Natalia.
"Eric...?"
"Yea?"
"Look me in the eye and tell me that you hate me. That we’re through.” Natalia said as she felt the tears form in her eyes.
“Nat.” He couldn’t breathe.
“I-I…”
“You can’t can you? Then why, why Eric are you lying to your own heart?”
“I… don’t know.” He honestly didn’t.
Natalia turned around and started walking away. Tears forming in her eyes.
“Talia.” Eric said taking one step forward.
Natalia stopped dead in her tracks remembering the nickname he gave her when they started dating.
“What did you say?” She said as she turned back around facing him.
“You heard me.” He said walking up to and wrapping his arms around her.
“You are so amazing and I’ve missed you so much these past 6 yrs and I never want to see you leave again.” He said as he lowered his head and his lips met hers.
“Eric…” Natalia said pulling away.
"Yea?”
“I love you so much. You don't know how long I've been waiting for this.” She said as she kissed him.
“I love you too.”
“Mommy, daddy?” Brayden said as he walked up to the and pulled on their pants.
“Yes, Brayden?” Eric said as he picked him up.
“Does this mean I get to have my REAL mommy again?” He said as he looked at Natalia.
“I think it does!”
“Yes!” Brayden said as he put his arm up in the air and pulled it down and Eric and Natalia just laughed.

At Eric’s house
“Hey I have to make a phone call so I’ll be right back. Eric said as he walked up stairs.
“Ok.” Natalia said as she walked over to Brayden to help him with his dinner.
Eric’s calling Carrie
“Hello?”
“Hey.” Eric said.
“Oh, hey baby. What’s up? When’s your plane landing?”
“Um, I need to talk to you.”
“Ok.” Carrie said with a little bit of worry in her voice.
“Carrie it’s been fun and I’ve loved bein together with you but I don’t think it’s gonna work out. I've fallen in love with someone else.”
“What?! Eric we’re getting married in a week and you decide to tell me now? Who’s the girl you’re in love with now?”
“Braydens real mom.”
“Are you serious? You’re going back to that slut after what she did to you and Brayden?” She yelled.
“Ok for 1, she’s not a slut, 2, Brayden get along with a lot better with her than you, and 3, we’re done with this conversation. Hope your new job works out great. Bye.” Eric yelled in the phone.
“Eric, wai…..” Before she could finish, Eric hung up the phone.
Eric walks back downstairs and sees Natalia washing the dishes. He walks up behind her and wraps his arms around her waist.
“Hello beautiful.” He said as he kissed her neck.
“Hey.” She said as she let her head fall back on his shoulders.
“Where’s Brayden?”
“He was tired so I tucked him in bed.” She said as she turned around and kissed him.
“Oh really?” He said as he gave the look.
“Eric, not tonight.” She said as she turned back around to finish the dishes.
"What..!?”
“I know what you’re thinking.” She said as she slapped his stomach.
“Please, you have 6 yrs to make up for. May as well start tonight.” He said as he laughed.
“Fine, after I get done with the dishes.”
“The dishes can wait.” He whispered in her ear as he took the dishes out of her hands and put them in the sink and grabbed her hand and led her up stairs.
