NY Forum Trip to Los Angeles: Year Two!

Hi guys!!! No, I haven't died, just on a sabbatical, ok a long, long sabbatical. I did remember that the annual, well second year, LA trip is this week and unfortunately I am unable to go, I will blame it on a upcoming job interview in North Carolina, and an academic internship at the same place this past May. This translates to no money and prioritizing my life plans. Sooooooo, I do expect to see lots and lots of pictures of everyone and if all goes well with my life plan (whatever that may be.....) I will hopefully be in attendance next year!

The trip was sooo much fun! It was just an amazing time and a great group of people. It was great to see the returning folks again, and to meet the great new people who joined us! My one complaint? The trip went by waaaaay too fast.
What did you guys think this year? An improvement? Are you exhausted? Did we avoid over-scheduling or not so much? :lol:
I can't wait to see the pics!!! I downloaded mine today to my computer and will upload to the web tonight.
By the way, I meant to ask this at some point, but if there's anyone who does not want pics of them posted here in this thread, please PM me and we will make sure the shots posted are not ones with people in them who don't want to be on the board.

It didn't feel overscheduled, but of course, it never feels like enough time. I can't wait until we get to come back next year. Seeing LA is nice, but seeing y'all is the part I look forward to.

*HUGGLES Fay* We love you, too. I'm glad it didn't feel overscheduled to you. I know that was really the only complaint last year, so we tried not to do that too much this year. (No 8am hike, yo! :lol: )

Unfortunately we didn't really get a "whole" group pic this year--the table one at Palermo's was probably the closest we came to it. But we got tons of great pics.
What was everyone's favorite part of the weekend/fav activity? We want to make sure we repeat what was liked if appropriate, and avoid what wasn't. Any restaurant reviews? Anything you loved? Hated? Spill all!

Loved all, hated nothing.
I'm not sure who said it, but someone mentioned last night that we haven't had a bad meal since we got here, which is so true. All the restaurants were good. Geisha House was fun and the food was fantastic, I think that might have been my favourite. I enjoyed all the activities too, and the weekend seemed very relaxed and perfectly scheduled. Los Angeles is awesome, and if the trip runs again next year people should definitely do everything they can to get their asses here! :thumbsup: :lol:

L.A. does food pretty well, and we'd sampled all the restaurants beforehand so I figured you guys would like them, but I'm glad to hear you did. I hope you and MrElsie will be able to make it back here next year, but if not, we'll understand!

I loved everything except my constant fear of getting a wretched sunburn. That, however, isn't something you guys can help. :lol:
All of the food was good, Universal was fun, the beach was great, the Observatory was awesome - basically, it was a fantastic trip all around. I'm partial to Pizza and Porn night, though, I must say. :devil: *pets MrElsie for being such a good sport this whole weekend*
