NY Forum Trip To LA #2

Springmoon, I'm a nice Christian girl who wouldn't dare encourage you to tell a fib

Sorry... I just spit out my breakfast laughing at that one. I'm a "nice Christian girl" too! And this is going to be a virgin birth ;)
but have you heard of that postpartum disorder that only PORN can cure? We actually have treatment facilities here in Cali. Uh huh, the symptoms are as follows:

*You'll suffer from severe headaches--only at work (usually around the month of June).

I get lovely killer migraines. I can start working on them as soon as I get back to work from maternity leave. In June!

*You'll be extremely emotional and cry uncontrollably (most have had outbursts during lunchtime and are forced to be excused). The aforementioned ironically starts in the month of June also.

Hmmmm... I don't cry unless I'm really pissed at someone, but we could translate that to emotional outbursts that make me throw things at people... *eyes collection of ceramic piggy banks in her office*

Just thought I'd share. Sharing is caring.

And I'm glad that we've come to care for each other so deeply in such a short time. :p
Cara - Start saving your pennies. A fair number of the girls come from the other side of the world. Didn't stop them from coming last year.
haha. Believe it or not I actually did.

So potentially I could be in LA come the forum trip! The DH got a job offer for a company in LA so we are discussing it. Thus I would have no excuse not to meet all you zany people!

^Wow, that would be awesome! :D Keep us posted. How soon would you move to LA if he takes the job?

I can't wait to start planning this! It's going to be awesome--this year's was so much fun. :D

Yes, I have to say that this was the most sober fun I've ever had with a group of people that I had never met in person before.

^ We're going to expect you to get your drink on this time. You're fabulously fun sober, but for all your big talk of drink, we're gonna need to see some serious evidence of boozing expertise.

I'll definitely be a cheap drunk. After all that time sober... well, it will be interesting. And I know I will have some company *cough*midnight*cough*

I Have A Problem!
I have recently be informed that I AM applying to go to ShadValley this year. ShadValley is a program for 'intelligent and well rounded students in gr. 11 and 12' that sets you up for important things like going to university, getting a job, moving into the real world and all that stuff. Unfortunately for me, if I get accepted, it's not only $2500 (which means bye bye LA funds) but through the ENTIRE month of July. So, as MrsG has probably planned this for the last week of July, I am OFFICIALLY F***ed. As much as I would love to be in Sunny LA with you wonderful WONDERFUL people, I may be spending my summer in a mental-I mean educational-facility in Vancouver (or Ontario...) instead. Why do I do this to myself? Because I REALLY need to get into University and OUT of my house.
So, I apply in December, and if I get in, I'll know by Febuary (at the latest). If I'm not surrounding myself with intelligent people though...I will be in LA with all of you. If I am at ShadValley, I'll have to either A)make an excuse to get out early, or B)wait until NEXT year to see y'all again! T_T You have no idea how sad that makes me.

^There is some discussion that the trip could possibly happen the first weekend in August, so don't worry too much at this point. Right now, we have to coordinate schedules and see when the optimal time for everyone will be.

At the moment, does anyone else who came last year and/or wants to come this year have any conflicts in July or August?

August? Well, I guess that just gives me more time.

Unless I'm already there early next year. Then poor Top41 is going to have me on her hands big time.

^YAY! :D Think of all the trouble we could get into before the rest of the group even arrives.  ;)

^YAY!!! :D The fun we will have will be ridunkulous, as one of my friends is fond of saying.

CSI-in-training - Don't panic just yet. Like Top says, we've had a request for the first weekend in August by someone who went last year. Valid reason for the request too, in my mind, anyway. We have someone who turns 21 at the end of July and doesn't want to miss out on any of the festivities.

But like Top says, we need to coordinate dates that work for the majority of the people. We'd really like to be able to retain the group that we had last year, plus add on to it.

If you attended last year and plan to attend again this year, it's never too soon to let us know what July and August look like for you. Top and I will begin planning in January, as we did last year. That's just around the corner now. :D
