I think that Ziva's father is behind everything, the terrorists, Michael's murder, Ziva's torcher. I thought their relationship seemed very odd. She returns home after a period of time and he hardly realized she was standing in the room, and just a quick kiss on the cheek? She seems more like an employee or soldier to him than a daughter. He didn't even comfort her. Very odd. I think that David is behind the terrorists torchering her to find out more about NCIS. There is just something about him I don't like. I think that Ziva stayed with Mossad at the end not because of her father, not loyalty to Mossad, but because she feels like she is at a crossroads right now. She doesn't know who to trust. I think she is trying to build some kind of relationship with her father. I don't think Ziva will give the terrorists anything useful. Next season I think that Ziva will find out that her father is involved with the terrorists. she will realize that her real "family" is NCIS. She will return to the states a US citizen and a full time employee at NCIS! Her and Dinozzo will reconcile somewhat, but I believe that their relationship is going to be very different...at least for a good while. They will be more like brother and sister and their flirtyness will be gone. That's just my thoughts.

Waaaa:( a whole summer without Dinozzo and Gibbs!

squinn1201: there are always reruns...that is what I am doing to catch up..I just started watching

I felt horrible for Tony. The poor thing looked like he lost his best friend. Ziva didn't want Tony's protection. He did it for her. That made me smile.
Tony & Gibbs are going to kill the people who hurt Ziva. I would love to see Tony go all Rambo on them.

I think they start in September...:( That is going to be absolute torture

It wasn't what I had expected.

It wasn't as much of a boiling point as I had thought it would be. The cliffhanger wasn't what I had expected.

But I do hope that everyone comes back to NCIS in the fall (in some capacity). If Ziva does manage to come back, I would hope that her and Tony would be able to work through it. And I hope Tony doesn't end up beating himself up over everything, like it looked like he was starting to do at the end of the episode.

Can't wait for the new season! :D

I posted the following in the Louise/Sofia thread and thought I should put it here, too.

From TV Guide online:

For starters, CSI alum Louise Lombard will not be making the trek to NCIS: Los Angeles, despite having appeared in the two NCIS episodes that served as a backdoor pilot. The spin-off instead will recast its female lead.

What are your guys take on NCIS:LA?

All I have to say has pretty much been cleared up by some people that posted above me, but I know this cant be repetative...Cant wait for the new season! :D

Now why do I wonder they have got something else in mind for her? Could this have something to do with her background and her past with Gibbs?

Jeez, it's gonna be a long summer

Hmm... could it be that her character is going to be coming in on the original to replace Ziva (at least for a little while)?

No way in (you can prob guess)! If anyone is going to 'help out while Ziva's not here' it would be that ICE agent they said would be recurring. No one is going to 'replace Ziva' for however short a time.

Why would they kick her off the spin-off though? Is it cause they are gonna bring her on the original... as possibly a love interest for Gibbs? I hope so cause unless it was her decision not to be in the spin-off, I think it's a little rude for them to replace her at the last minute. She fit in well with it. Hmm... if they aren't planning on bringing her on as Gibbs' love interest (or on the original at all), maybe the CSI writers can bring back Sofia Curtis! :D

By the way, I didn't mean that Ziva wouldn't be on the show. They could still show her in the other country and what she's going through, so she could still be on the show. But, while she's not in the US, they might have to fill her spot until she can return to the US, but they would still show Ziva... so she'd still be in the opening credits. Kind of like how on Criminal Minds when JJ went on maternity leave, they brought in Jordan as her fill-in temporarily... only in this case, Ziva would still be shown, just not with the rest of the team until she can get back to them.

I agree. It would be great to have her on NCIS and see where things lead. Has anyone noticed that the Horn of Africa and Somalia were mentioned in Legend 1? And isn't that exactly where Ziva is?:confused:

I'm not to worried that Ziva will not come back. After all, all these characters make NCIS what it is. And it happened to Tony in season 5. I'm sure she'll be back within 2 episodes. :D

Can't wait to see how Zivas relationship with her father moves on. It's really screwed up at the moment ,if Vance is right than he gave his daughter the order to kill his son to gain Gibbs trust - or Ziva crossed him with her actions and long stay at NCIS and he knows that she's more loyal to Gibbs than to him. Could either way be David behind her capture for informations about NCIS.

Liked Vance too ,you never really know which team he's on and what his goal really is...

Ohhhh so long till the new season ^^°

Hope they bring Louise Lombard back somehow ,she worked really well with the new team IMHO ...
or have to agree with GregNickRyanFan on hoping for a return of Sofia*g*
@CSISenna :can't remember that but good reason for rewatching and speculation ,thx ;) ( could definitely life with another xover for saving Ziva ^^ )

I get the impression that Vance isn't on any side in particular, he'll never vow to side with Gibbs, or even NCIS, above all others in any situation. He'll see what the problem is, then make an educated decision based on the evidence, but his loyalty is only to the people he protects: the people of America. If he thinks Gibbs is in the right, he'll fight with him til the bitterend. But if he thinks Gibbs is doing the wrong thing he won't think twice about going head to head for what HE thinks if right.

yep and that's what keeps him so interesting ,because you can do some pretty fucked up things/deals when you think the outcome is worth the cost ...

I think Vance knows more about Eli David than Gibbs. I get the feeling Eli David is not the bad person here. There's more to the story with that guy from the training camp at the Horn of Africa. And I get a feeling we'll be hearing more from the story line concerning Ari in the next season. Why else give flashbacks of how Ziva killed her half brother.

@ Xeri, welcome to this thread. We like to discuss the series, but we don't like using F-words. Please keep that in mind with your next post. Thank you :)

I agree, some of us are either minors, modest, or have people looking over our shoulders who would get mad if they thought we were reading anything 'inappropriate'. Or all three. That word is the bane of childhood existence. That being said, I personally don't really care.
