NCIS thread #3 - Shutting up now, Boss

I've got a feeling that the sheet of paper that Vance shredded will have something to do with them being brought back together.....

As far as I could decipher it, it was a annual report about Vance (how he worked with colleagues, what his conduct was like...). But it was all positive and appraising of his values and abilities, so why would he destroy it?
Did he fake it? Or was there something I missed, like a critical undertone?

A Marine gets in a brawl inside a bar. When the bouncers kick him out, he finds two Marine buddies barely breathing between the trash cans. One doesn't survive and the team is called in to investigate. Gibbs goes back to his home town, where we meet his father. Tony, Abby, Ziva and McGee also appear.

I knew Jenny was gonna be the one to go. I have never liked Vance & now wonder what's gonna happen when the new season begins. I truly believe that Vance is somehow involved in one or both cases.

Anyways I read that the show are NOT going to be pulling a HOUSE with the whole splitting up of the team because " well it's Gibb's team."
Sooooooo how do we think Gibb's is gonna bring our amazing team back together??

I've been doing some thinking about just that (how Gibbs gets the team back together). Perhaps the new team keeps making major screw-ups, can't work well under Gibbs, aren't doing well solving cases etc., and Vance gives Gibbs his team back because he knows they work best together? Or maybe Vance didn't actually plan on keeping the team apart permanently, this was just a temporary slap-on-the-wrist for everyone notkeeping him in the loop & blindsiding him, during the investigation of Jenny's death... either way, I would bet they're back together by the 3rd ep, 4th ep at the most. My Spidey Sense tells me so.

I doubt the team split will last for that long as well. I heard that Tony, Ziva and McGee are going to be in the premiere. I see the split lasting maybe 2 episodes.

But the split seems a little... weird. I'm probably thinking that somebody major - like Ziva or Abby or David or McGee or maybe even Tony - is going to be killed off, making it permanent. It's just a hunch... and pessimistic thinking. I hope I wrong about that, though. And why change the teams?! They were so perfect already. ;-; It just seems a little... odd that they would go in the basically same direction as House when they could just add maybe two or one other person to the team and keep it that way, but they know what they're doing... I hope.

This at the moment i'm not sure about but i've heard that in the new series GIBSBS goes back to his hometown and we meet his dad!

I'm really excited about the new series now I wanna know what's happening!!!!

If they do in fact keep the team split, I will probably tune in to something else on Tuesday night. This sucks!

To keep them apart a little bit it's normal if you want to keep the tension duruing the opening arc but if the show is permanently apart i think is such bad thing and the show won't be the same

I agree I mean they have to have a cliffhanger to get people worried about the team and so tune in next season but i doubt it will last. And hey this is Gibbs we're talking about he'll get his guys and gal back

I'm not in the least bit worried, they'll get back together again. However I would not want to miss the first ep of season 6 just because they would not be a team again. It might take an ep or 2 but I think it should be good.
