Don't like this day for LA. I didn't like it on Mondays, either. Think the ratings took a plunge, but CBS loves the franchise, so I guess we don't have anything to worry about.

Don't like this day for LA. I didn't like it on Mondays, either. Think the ratings took a plunge, but CBS" loves the franchise, so I guess we don't have anything to worry about.

"NCIS: LA" isn't the same people as "NCIS" and NOLA so yes, we have to worry! At least at 8pm we have a better chance of it being aired on football delays than "Elementary" does.

NCIS: LA Shake-Up: Who's Leaving?

NCIS: LA creator Shane Brennan is stepping down as showrunner of the long-running spin-off, Deadline reports. He'll be replaced by his No. 2, executive producer R. Scott Gemmill.

Brennan, who will remain an executive producer on NCIS: LA, will focus on other projects under a deal with CBS TV Studios, including an event series based on The Expendables that is currently being shopped to networks and digital platforms, as well as an adaptation of an upcoming science fiction book series.

Gemmill, who has written more than 30 episodes of NCIS: LA already has some plans for the show's upcoming eighth season.

NCIS: LA started filming season 8 last month, starting with some scenes that are intended to accommodate Daniela Ruah's pregnancy and maternity leave. (They filmed scenes for numerous episodes at once, so they can include her storyline while she's not on set.) Here are several links to CSI Files articles, which contain collections of tweets and photos from the set:

‘NCIS:LA’ Starts Filming Tomorrow (14 tweets/photos)
‘NCIS:LA’ Season 8 Filming Is Underway (8 tweets/photos)
Olsen & LL Cool J Talk ‘NCIS:LA’, Plus Set Pics & Tweets (34 tweets/photos/videos)

Ruah and Eric Christian Olsen were at Comic-Con last month as well, and you can find photos/videos/quotes/etc on CSI Files here. (This one has 130+ photos/videos/etc, so click wisely.)

You can also find info about the season 7 DVDs on CSI Files here, which will be released on August 30. This is the cover art:

NCIS: LA Premiere Moves Up a Week, as CBS' JonBenet Series Gets Trimmed

The NCIS: Los Angeles agents will christen their new Sunday home sooner than expected.

With CBS’ The Case of: JonBenet Ramsey docuseries being trimmed from six to four total hours (now premiering Sunday, Sept. 18 and concluding Monday, Sept. 19), NCIS: LA will open Season 8 a week earlier than originally scheduled — on Sunday, Sept. 25, at 8:30/7:30c (leading out of a football doubleheader).

What’s more, NCIS: LA will return with two fresh episodes: “High-Value Target,” in which the Secretary of Defense (Jackson Hurst) takes over the Los Angeles unit in light of the unresolved mole mystery, and “Belly of the Beast,” where the team travels to Syria where one agent is severely injured. (Look no further than our Fall Preview Spectacular for the 411 on the unlucky agent.)

CBS PROGRAM ADVISORY FOR SUNDAY, SEPT. 25

This is good news. The JonBenet stuff, has been, for lack of a better phrase, "done to death." :( It seems like everybody had their own special. Dateline on NBC, and one on A&E comes to mind this past weekend. Her older brother was on Dr. Phil (!) & 3 of her fellow pageant contestants were on Inside Edition yesterday. Do a special when they CATCH THE KILLER.

Glad that NCIS L.A. is starting at the end of the month instead of Oct. I just hope that moving it to Sunday; that this
is their Swan Song. Hate to see it cancelled because someone at the top is stupid and moved it's #1 show on Monday
to Sunday ( Football night).

At least at 8pm it's not the one to get skipped on those football overruns. And if it gets pushed into the 9pm hour it could benefit from that. It didn't seem to matter last year if it was "The Good Wife" or "Madame Secretary" on in the 9pm hour that 9pm hour seemed to be the best rated of the night.

NCIS: LOS ANGELES

NCIS: LOS ANGELES is a drama about the high-stakes world of a division of NCIS that is charged with apprehending dangerous and elusive criminals that pose a threat to the nation's security. By assuming false identities and utilizing the most advanced technology, this team of highly trained agents goes deep undercover, putting their lives on the line in the field to bring down their targets. Special Agent "G" Callen is a chameleon who transforms himself into whomever he needs to be to infiltrate the criminal underworld. His partner is Special Agent Sam Hanna, a former U.S. Navy SEAL who has seen action in both Afghanistan and Iraq. Assisting the team is the all-knowing Henrietta "Hetty" Lange, who oversees the staff and is tasked with providing everything from micro-surveillance cameras to cars for the team; Special Agent Kensi Blye, the exceptionally bright daughter of a slain Marine who lives for the adrenaline rush that comes with undercover work; Marty Deeks, a seasoned LAPD undercover detective who was recruited to the team by Hetty; Tech Operator Eric Beale, who has mastered every gadget and computer in the Ops Center; Intelligence Analyst Nell Jones, who won the team's respect with her spot-on intelligence assessments and her shrewd insights; and Owen Granger, the stoic and sometimes irritable Assistant Director, with a mysterious past only known to Hetty. Armed with the latest in high-tech gear and sent regularly into life-threatening situations, this tight-knit unit relies on each other to do what is necessary to protect national interests.

Begins its eighth season Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016 on the CBS Television Network.
