03: There is too much focus on the brushes used.

Best:
10:The icon look fabulous. Great use of background, well placed text. It works for me.
08: Very nice touch with the soft reflection in the background.

02. The subject is really dark, and her bottom half disappears into the background which is distracting.
15. The bottom half is completely blended into the background which is very distracting, the purple seems a little off balance, drawing the focus away from the subject.

Best:

11. I like the subtle separation from the top and bottom half of the icon. Just enough contrast so she doesn't disappear into the background.
04. This one really stands out with the unusual colouring and faded black edges. Very eye catching.

06 - The icon is very grainy, and the background texture overkills the Green Day's person [sorry can't remember the name :alienblush:]
07- the coloring doesn't really fit in the icon, and the texture overkill a bit.

10- Amazing effect!! I love it, and the stroke around Taylor gives such a special touch to the icon :D
17- Cool effect and coloring!

16 - there is too many things going on. the background brings attention away from the band.
15 - too bright

10 - love the effect
11 - gorgeous coloring and the brushes complete the icon nicely

7 - Gwen is an unnatural color of blue, seeming to blend into the background.
18 - Not much was done to the original base, except the very faint brush.

wow! THIS IS HARD! they all look amazing...and i'm not just saying that. i hate having to choose

least:
15. the coloring in this one is gorgeous, but the image is oversharpened, especially on taylor's hair. you can see the black grainyness.

16. the concept is super cool, but the busy texture in the background really overpowers the icon so you almost don't even look at the band.

Best.

17. amazing. coloring is awesome, stepped image is perfect. amazing!

8. love love love the coloring on this one. the coolness is perfectly balanced so the color doesn't look too unnatural.

Great job, everyone. This was hard.


Least:

18- The white heart brush can barely been seen. It blends in too much with the original background color.
06- a little sharp and grainy- love the background though.



Best:

14- very pretty- love the lighting on her face and the butterfly is a nice touch.
10- Pretty background- love the softness of it and the white highlight around Taylor.

07 - The blue colouring is a little over powering and somewhat distracting.
18 - It doesn't look like very much has been done to the original pic.

Best:
10 - Nice colouring, the effect works really well.
04 - The colouring and background work well with the theme.

17 - LOVE the triple effect behind the main subject

06 - The picture is very grainy/oversharpened.

17 - very cool effect, great colouring

04) like the black frame and the tiny text. Looks with the pic great together
16) Love the colour and black & white idea very much. The brackground fits wonderful to the group of people
