I love Valera, I think she's funny, she's got a great personality, and I think given the right storyline she could really shine. I thought she handlded the storyline she was given in season 3 about the rape victim well, granted I really didnt' like that storyline but still. Anyways I have my moments when I'm watching MIami where Valera's my only favorite character anymore and it sucks that we barely get to see her. So I think its only far she gets a big storyline.
Re: Maxine Valera #2 - I'm Not the Mole...I Swear!!! Oh yes totally! Valera needs to be seen more. I've hardly seen her since she got suspended in Season 3. What I like about her (and Dan and Ryan) is that she is human. She makes mistakes but everyone still loves her. I loved her line in a Season 3 eppy when Alexx called her "Maxine" and she didn't respond and then said, "I forget I have a first name". MORE VALERA!!!

That doesn't make me weird does it? I currently just deleted all of my pictures in my pictures folder. But as soon as I re add them I'll have lots of Valera piccies.

I mean you have Eva Larue who's been added to the main credits after only been on the show for a season, mimus a few episodes. And you have Brendan Fehr who was on the show for a season minus a few episodes and now has been in every episode of season 5 so far (I think so) and then you have Boti who's been with the show since the 2nd season and she hasn't had a storyline, hasn't been added to the main credits and were lucky if we see her for five seconds. I emailed Corey Miller shortly after the season started and he told me that Boti Bliss was pretty much a main character already. Umm..yeah I'm gonna have to disagree on that. But however, I think that if Boti was to become a main character I think she'd still have her edge and her sassyness that is Maxine Valera. I'd like for Valera to have a storyline that goes into her past a little maybe vs. a storyline thats happening right in the present. But who knows maybe the writers will suprise us and we'll get a Maxine Valera packed episode....ok so I tend to think that the writers aren't all evil. lol. And Dragonflydreamer, its nice to know that I'm not the only one who looks for those. lol. I also look for Brian Poth (Tyler Jensen) god only knows what happend to his poor character.

But I'm way off topic. Valera a main character? Not by a long shot. She's way better than NBV. I think it's becaues Eva and Brendan are better known than Boti, and tptb want the star power. Not that they need it. But you are right. We must have hope. I look forward to the episode that stars Maxine Valera.
Re: Maxine Valera #2 - I'm Not the Mole...I Swear!!! I think that there's been maybe two episodes this season that had no Cooper. Maybe it was just one. I also check the 'recurring cast list' to see who's listed. I'll certainly agree that we need more Valera screentime this season, and I'll also agree that she should have been moved up to CSI before anyone else. What I'd have loved to have seen happen is Valera move up and become a CSI and Boa Vista-since they felt the need to keep her on-could have become the main DNA person. Boti has great chemistry with pretty much the whole cast-and I don't mean that in the shippery sense, lol...there's more than one kind of chemistry. I tend think that maybe tptb think the secondary characters are interchangeable and they don't realize that they can acquire a fanbase like the main characters do. Tyler is a perfect example of this, he has quite a fanbase at this board-myself among them (although I love Cooper as well). I shall post a Valera pic since we haven't had one in awhile. I've probably posted this one before, but it's my favorite so here it is again.
Re: Maxine Valera #2 - I'm Not the Mole...I Swear!!! That's a great pic, Thumpy, thanks for sharing! And I agree, if they felt that BV had to stay on, the roles should have been reversed, with Valera going into the field and BV staying in the lab. It would have made so much more sense.

But my guess is that they were thinking "well that to Gregish" even though they went and did it with Boa Vista. But still I think Boti has a lot of potential to become a main character.
