I think she is a great supporting cast member. I don't like it when they go though too many different lab techs. I don't want to feel like I'm watching star trek and waiting for the no name character to die. Hope this made sense. So I really hope she is back next season! ;)

I figure its time to get this thread going again.
In my opinion, Valera has way more character depth than NBV, and deserves more screen time. She's way more interesting, and I find her funny as well (is that just me?) She should have been the one added to the title credits, (along with Tripp, of course :))
She really hasn't been getting enough screen time this season.

Nope DragonflyDreamer it's not just you; I find her to be funny too. Valera is a great character with so much potential (if they could only give her more screentime!).

And Speedmonkey2 I also agree with you about more Valera time and less Natalia time. I mean honest to God, is it too much to ask for?

Thank the lord someone brought this thread back to life. I love Valera I think she could have great character potential if the wirters would give it to her. I think as the seasons go by especially sense Vista came on the show (I mean i'm not bad mouthing Boa Vista or anything If you like her thats great) we've seen less and less of Valera. And I just don't think thats far.

I will agree I do think Valera's funny.

I thought that scene was all kinda of cute. I loved it how she finally cracks a joke around Horatio, since she normally calls him 'sir' or 'Lt.' and he doesn't laugh just looks at her. I just thought that was really cute.

But here's a question for you guys. If Valera was to get more screen time what type of storyline would you like to see her with?

i think it's soo sad that valera gets so less screentime ... boti bliss is a great actor and i love valeras humor :p

i laughed soo hard about that scene the look at horatio's face and she just laughs and then i think she says sorry but i don't know anyway she looks apologetic coughs and goes on i love it :D :D

I'd love to see Valera get a personal storyline. I mean, aside from getting suspended for making an honest mistake.
I always like to see my favorite characters as victims once in a while (so long as they dont' die), so I think maybe she should have a stalker or something. That way they can pan it out over a few episodes. You know... an innocent bouquet of flowers one ep... and it escalates from there.

And also, when we first discover that she does, in fact, have a first name. 'No one here ever calls me by my first name.'

I also noticed that Boti had a birthday recently. October 23, I believe. So, happy belated birthday to her.

And I love it when we found out her name. "I almost forgot I had one" Teehe. She's so cute.

I can so see the Stalker storyline. I was also thinking like abusive boyfriend but then that kinda defeats the whole BOa Vista thinger. But I could see her coming into work with like a black eye or something and then maybe Eric notices and asks her about it and then like a couple of episodes later there's a call out to her house.

...And I've thought a little to much into this. lol.

The blond hair that she has right now... I'm not to sure about. But I do love how her hair is constantly changing.

Yeah I do to. Season 2 she had that crazy black hair. I didn't like it so much but it set her apart from everyone else and I did like that. And then season 3 she had that red hair. And then s4 she cut it really short and I liked that and now its blonde. When I first saw that I was like 'YAY VALERA!" and then I was like "wait a minute...she's a blonde." and then I thought about it for a minute and i'm not sure if I like it or not.

I wish tptb gave her an actual storyline; the stalker storyline is more than feasible and has so much potential!

As for her hair, it's very eclectic - I love it. I'm kinda like that too (I just switched from auburn to brunette and not too long ago I was "honey blonde").

Anyway, back on topic... I like Valera with the darker, more earthy tones. As for the blonde hair, I'm not too sure about it but in any case, she always looks amazing!

It's true, Boti is a very pretty woman... uh... yeah, you know what I mean. Lady. She's a very pretty lady. Or person. And I agree, somehow, the stalker storyline would just work for her.

i must say i love how she changes her hair colour but i don't like her in blond it's just not her natural colour and i don't think it fits her ... i liked the blond effects she had once but i don't like it now ... i almost fell of my chair when i saw it
