Hello, smacked family!
It is funny how many of us have been ill lately. We have shopping-luva with her back thing (hey, I am very glad your pain is less now, shopping.:bolian
and then Debbie with the chicken pox, and now I have a sore throat and annoying cough. We all need some Smacked medicine. s1 is of course excellent medicine!
Asprine, so sorry to hear about your uncle. My thoughts are with you.
So you watched Tanglewood? I love how Sonny Sassone keeps trying to flirt with Stella, and she isn't interested at all and sees him as a total loser - he says he spends the salary Mac and Stella make in a year on drugs, and Stella says 'Yeah, i can tell!' Anyway, as the cop is taking Sonny away at the end of the interview, Sonny says that thing about Danny, and Mac looks pissed. Then Sonny makes a 'kissing' gesture at Stella, and Mac looks very pissed. He didn't like a creep like Sonny making a pass at Stella, looked like he wanted to smack him, excuse the pun.
Reed definitely needs to come back, he is cool and gives us more insight into Mac and also Smacked, and he's an interesting character just by himself.
I love the idea of Flack, Danny and Lindsay and Reed and Claire and Aiden all being Smacked shippers. I am sure Adam is one too - he loves Mac, he loves Stella, and despite his crush on Stella, I am sure he wants them to be together. If NY was a movie, Adam would be that kid who tries to get the two grown ups who are in love but don't realize it yet, together!
eyewitness, I like your theory on Stella only having Mac, and he only having her. I know they have other friends (Don and Angell for example) but Don and Angell and the others are more their 'work friends who they are very close to' than anything else. Outside of work, they certainly do only seem to go out together, just the two of them. Stella is the only woman who has been a constant in Mac's life since his wife died, in fact she is the only
person who has been a constant in his life, because back in s1, Mac and Don were just colleagues rather than friends. And the same goes for Stella. No man has been in her life as long as Mac has. They are each other's first, last, and everything. We should lock EP in a room and make them listen to that song!
Debbie, I love your theory on the 'she looked back' line:bolian::devil:
Mac Taylor Quotient? Hmmm, I wants me a bit of that please!:drool::devil:
The Gary/Melina pic from tv.com is so cute. They look so happy and comfortable and natural together.
Jimenz, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your pic. First because I have been trying to find a decent size pic of Marine Mac for ages, and second because they look so great together. When they move in together, they should get one of those double photo frames and actually put those 2 photos in it. Both Stella and Mac have chosen jobs which mean putting yourself at risk to help and protect others - Stella became a cop, Mac a Marine and then a cop. It shows that even before they met, they both had similar ideals and desires (serve their country or city, help people, protect people, stop the 'bad guys') And they both look great in uniform.
You know we were talking about Mac saying Stella was 'tough'? Well, I just remembered that in Charge of this Post, Stella tells Dean Lessing 'Mac Taylor was a Marine. If anyone survived that blast, he did' or something like that. She was still concerned about him though - she went to check on him when the doc was treating him. And she did a similar thing in Veritas, when she said the thing about getting him on a chopper to the hospital. Funny how in earlier seasons, Mac and Stella showed their concern for each other more openly than they have this season. Unless, of course, they are deliberately hiding their concern to cover up the fact they are living together.:bolian:
