Mac/Stella #14 - Cause you can't fight the inevitable!

I was thinking the other day, how about if Mac actually ends up helping Stella catch Diakos? I don't think he would leave Stella to suffer even if they are in a fight. But let's hope they resolve their fight before the Diakos situation really gets out of hand. As much as I love the Stella/Angell team, I don't want them getting hurt. They need all of the CSI's to come together, it wouldn't be the same if Mac wasn't supporting Stella!

That would be nice. I can definitely see Mac helping Stella get Diakos. When he fired Aiden in s2, he promised her he would get Pratt, even though he was upset with her for almost planting that evidence. And when Pratt killed her, Mac went after him really hard. Diakos is going to be in very deep poopy if Marine Mac gets on his case, along with the rest of the team.
I wonder whether one reason Mac is mad at Stella over this plan of hers isn't so much that she didn't tell him about it (though I'm sure that is still a part of it) but that he's remembering Aiden. Aiden went after a suspect on her own, and using unorthodox but legal methods, and she got murdered. Diakos has shown he is violent, just like Pratt, and he is scared Stella might end up like Aiden.

I agree the she looks way too young. But then i was thinking:the picture isn't dated, so we don't know how old she was or when was it taken. I guess if Reed is 23 now he was like 17 or something when Claire died?? I guess the actress on the picture (who is she?) looks 28-35 years old, so Claire must have had Reed when she was 16-17 (i might be wrong but i guess Mac said she was 16 back then. but i don't really remember. i should rewatch the epi.)

I believe Mac is around his 50's, and I calculate Stella must be somewhere between 38-45, which again would make her the same age as Claire!! (if she was still alive, of course ) So, similarities here we go again! :thumbsup: She and Stella are even the same age!

I cannot believe this is all just coincidence! If TPTB cared enough to make sure that Claire and Stella looked that much like each other, they must have hidden intentions there... hmmm :shifty: and i wonder what these are... :devil: :drool:

More similarities! I like the idea of hidden intentions...:devil: Mac told Reed Claire had him 'very young' and his real dad is Claire's high school sweetheart, so 16 would definitely work out as the age Claire was when she had Reed.

I was with you Lori . I went to the NY forum and to the 'too much romance' thread.
I did read that most people love Mac and Stella. Some said that the actors themselves save certain looks and such for each other. We all know that's obvious. Gary and Melina do have much chemistry....

What I can say is that I'm not a fan of 'cannon' relationships. Some how it ruins the dynamic of the relationship itself. That's why I love, Love, LOVE Mac and Stella. They look at each other a certain way (again back to the actors saving it just for each other). They talk to each other differently than they talk to other members of the team and I think they expect things from each other that they don't expect from other's either.

So, I'm satisfied, for the moment, the way Mac and Stella are right now. As for the 'other woman' for Mac, well we all know she's a rouse, a distraction to throw the others, including the Chief off to hide the fact that Mac and Stella are living together.

Hehe, love that idea about Mac and she-nit! ITA with you about the way Mac and Stella interact with each other and expect things from each other that they don't from the rest of the team. In s1, for example, Stella was the only one Mac was really close with and opened up to. And she went to him first about the AIDS thing. Re their fight...I think Mac would have been less upset if it had been Danny or Lindsay or Hawkes going after Diakos without telling him.

All of this waiting is getting me depressed so what did I do? I went to the D/L shipper thread WHAT IS WRONG WITH MEEE!!! I was so jealous!!!
And they still WANT MORE!! If only we can get a little kiss they say Oh MAN! They got more than a kiss!! She swallowed that kiss and now LOOK!! Then I was checking a thread talking about too much romance and everyone was agreeing there is and they seem to think there is somthing to that stupid She nit thing!! Well, what can I say. Smacked is so perfect that they look perfect even while being just friends, such it is that we could perfectly live until today without a make out scene. Unlike "Those we do not speak of", who needs not only melodrama make up scenes but babies and all the cheesy romance wagon, and they don't even look good friends, because when "he" most needed "her", she wasn't there for "him" and didn't even know what to do about it! (in the Ruben situation)

But I agree with what you said thay said about the "too much romance".

Also we know everything they ask, everything they will have. Last year they complaint about Rikki and now she is gone... And of course they will have the childbirth scene:scream:

Oh Debbie, don't let the fans of "Those we do not speak of" make you feel discriminated. They only got what they wanted DUE TO ONE PLAIN UNIQUE AND SIMPLE REASON, WHICH IS: "SHE" GOT PREGNANT IN Real Life!! They had totally different plans for "those we do not speak of", "He" said himself in an interview that "the ship we do not speak of" was "going to sink", and TPTB had major plans for Rikki in S5. But then, just like that, "boom!", there was the Belknap baby, and everything had to be re-written from day to night!

Ok guys, can we keep talk about other ships to a minimum please and also, please keep it civil... Some things that have been said aren't exactly civil. I don't think it's fair to call other fans, "Those we do not speak of" or to say the D/L situation only happened cause Anna was actually pregnant. TPTB wrote what they thought to be the best storyline, and after all it's their show, so please don't get mad at other fans.

The "she looked back nice" comment was because nit was re-assessing all the negative things she was told about him and he was glad she was not going to be so quick to believe it. Let them have there first dissagreement and see how much he likes her "looking back" He will probably look at her and say "What a NIT!"

SMACked deprived + overdose of Ausiello's scoops + DL fans asking for MORE after all they have received (and we know they will receive more and more)= many fans NOT PLEASED. Unfortunately we are that second group

I think that came out wrong. With "Those we do not speak of" I meant D/L itself, not the fans at all (even because i know there are smacked fans who are D/L as well). It was supposed to be a joke (a pun with "The Village" movie characters - the more they say the name of the creatures, it's more likely the creatures will come to haunt them), i didn't figure it would sound so offensive.

maybe it doesn't enhance the theory that they're were living togheter, but let's not forget that she said that just when they were talking about spending time with people they loved... and then there was Mac's OOC she-nit line, of course. Its just as if TPTB gave us the candy then took it away just when we were about to give the first bite.

MY BEST FRIEND BOUGHT ME SEASON 3 DVDS FOR AN XMAS PRESENT!!!!

She had to get them shipped in from America because they're still not out yet in Australia but omg I'm so happy lol. So while I'm glued to the floor hoping the swelling goes down, I'm watching season 3! I've never seen any of them before. I'm so excited.

Anyway, I'm going on holiday tomorrow until the 15th so I hope you all take care of yourselves, and the second I get back I'll come say hi again. Love you all! xxx

Hey everyone!
I know I haven't been here in a while because I was really depressed due to the smacked lackness in this season, but now I have so many positive thoughts.
There are so many best friends on other tv shows as Mac and Stella and the writers of those shows always came up with a little twist where they had to get sure about their real relationship. And I think Mac and Stella will come to that point too where they have to ask each other and themselves if they are only just ''friends''...Come on this is the most common excuse.."Blah blah we're not dating we're just friends'..no one believes you anymore...=) Plus there are a lot of people who think that this whole D/L thing won't work out as imagined, I mean it could if it wasn't a CSI show...I have this feeling that they will concentrate on the two main characters sooner or later =). Wasn't CSI:NY supposed to be about the characters? See we had Don and his sister, D/L the only missing piece is smacked...so stay optimistic...
What I think would've been great was Stella leaving the lab for two or threee episodes after All Access, maybe we would've gotten some 'private' scenes between her and Mac and some where you saw how much he missed her =).
I watched 'The Fall' today, and i totally loved how Stella always supported mac with his decisions he had to take. And i think season 1 is the best medicine if you're depressed because of season 5...
