^It is indeed. I like Aubrey, a lot. She seems a good match for Mac.
I will wait and see how Peyton is with Mac in the episode she's in, but at the minute, as far as the triangle spoilers go, I hope she buggers off back to England and Mac picks Aubrey. I'd like to see some kind of resolution between Peyton and Mac though for the way their relationship ended. But at the minute, I'm rooting for Mac/Aubrey. They're cute, but I also think there's the potential for more, there.
The coffee-choking moment was.......there are no words. Thank God for smileys - :adore::adore::lol::drool::adore:

On a side note, I love that Mac is apparantly a man that likes his food - first the deli, now pizza. What was it he ordered at the deli in the opening scene of Pot of Gold, btw? I forget.

(wow been ages since I popped in :p).

Anyhoo. As for food. Mac does well when he eats out. Now with Aubrey, and back when he also met Rose at a diner . (And. Apparently take-out Chinese also brings about the return of an ex. So I Guess the lesson is to go out not order in? :p ).

^ "Number 4. Club - " "...easy on the dressing. A man he knows what he wants."

Dunno why that line has stuck. Easy rolling I suppose . Plus I thought the guy playing Phil was good (John Barbolla) :). (He has an interesting mini bio on imdb too).

and no doubt our cue to start loitering with intent in various delis/cafes/diners ;)

it stuck with me too. but i was watching it again from the uk transmission on sat and i hadn't noticed before (i have no idea why) that aubrey ordered exactly what mac kind of told her to. sort of. he basically said he went there despite the crowds because the pastrami was worth it, and then she orders a pastrami sandwich. i wonder if she would've ordered that anyway or whether she liked the look of him (well, i guess we know that) and decided to try his recommendation. hmm....

By the way, Claire Forlani will not turn the series in May. She has cried off. Unfortunately, therefore she would have time for CSI Ny. We do not want to hope it which comes back they for durable.

Manno Man... El was in the house and the kitchen was open? That's wath ya get from not popping in time, Jools *slaps*... Yup, guess I missed some fancy take out.:lol: Well after 2 weeks of no eppies, our hotness finally returned on the screen. The ep was ok, not one of the best but lots of Mac-snacks. Bon appetit, Taylor girls.:drool::drool: Don't drool too long else we'll need to call in the clean up team. :p

MarineGirl, Thanks for the great pics. Good work!

It *has* been a long time since you were here. *waves*. I thought it might have been a 'club' of some description that he had, but wasn't sure. I remembered the 'easy on the dressing' part, presumably because that's how I prefer my Mac.;)

I agree about hanging out at delis/cafes/diners. I have a favourite cafe/deli across from the road and their chilli prawn salad with a side of Mac would be lovely.

That line about Mac knowing what he wants stuck with me too. In What You See is What You See, Amy asked Mac if he wanted his 'usual' and Rose knew what he had, and given that clip from Unusual Suspects, Mac evidently has his favourite pizza place, too. I think this food stuff brings out a more personal side to Mac, as well as strengthening the idea of him as a man with firm ideas and loyalty, even down to the food he likes to eat. I'd like to see Aubrey (or anyone, actually, but perhaps she's the best placed) to take him out and introduce him to new foods/eating establishments.

I wonder too whether Aubrey ordered the pastrami because Mac suggested it. Maybe, or maybe she just shares his enthusiasm for it. I'd try his recommendation any time.

well he's clearly a creature of habit/routine, which kind of backs up his working style, i think :)

:p

 ;). M'dear, El's Kitchen is always open, whether I'm in da house or not. You know that. Perhaps it's been so long I need to collectively re-extend the standing open-invitation to everyone :p. Best tunes around, and it's well stocked. I'm rarely home to eat or drink the stuff I buy .

:). *waves back*. Howzit :p.

I thought the pastrami stuff was a rather overt and fun cyclical scene cap, and more superficially conversational than a suggestion . Especially as he'd had his order already. I doubt she went in for pastrami, but seemed happy enough to try it. It musta been halfway decent too or she wouldna written him the note, woulda kept to her original plans of leaving the city had it turned out to be a crappy meal at a crowded cutthroat deli .

Aubrey does seem open and willing to trying new things. Dunno how long she'll be implied as being around, but if she's able to bring that out a bit in Mac, that would similarly be a very good thing.

One does get the impression he's a fella with a pretty set routine, at least on the shortlist of things he can manage daily, like food, and apparently wardrobe, within the whirlwind of all the surrounding stuff he otherwise has to respond to instead.

He also knew the diner waitress girl well, (who's BF was the perp), so he does seem to favor a few select places. Not to mention he memorized Phil's take out menu ten years ago. That said. He was at least aware of whatever the new place was that Aubrey mentioned. That's a good sign at least .

The real test? Seeing if their taste in pizza toppings is compatible . Hey, toppings of choice sez a lot about a person :p.

I think the rare depictions of food in NY have always been fun. Whether it's Stella teasing Mac about canoles, or Flack about hotdog vendors, or showing Sheldon chowing down in the break room (and Mac teasing him him for a change). It would be fun to see more of that side of Mac surface from time to time.

I have high hopes for the upcoming Mac/Adam scenes myself :p.

This would be the news that both she and Thomas Haden Church are no longer involved with Matt LeBlanc's Episodes show. Well. Doesn't necessarily indicate Forlani could be making a true return to NY as a recurring, and I expect she also has other work lined up, even if it was scheduled further down the line. It may mean, however, that she is available to have the resolution of Mac's drama play out in a more extended fashion if TPTB really wanna draw that stuff out more than they would have otherwise.

The crazy time also begins again. I think internal pilot screenings have already started, and the week of May 17 should bring in news on upfronts. As it relates here, it would include news on whether whether Hart Hanson's Pleading Guilty for Fox will be picked up, and what that could mean for Amick's availability as well, should NY ever have been contemplating having her make a S7 appearance at all.

Hello fellow Taylor Girls!
360.gif

hahah talking about food makes my hungry! But yes I've noticed Aubrey and Mac's conversations or where they meet is something to do with food. I think it's great to see lighter side of Mac's. He's usually so "work, work, work" -centered so it's great to see more relaxed side of him and Aubrey seems to bring it out so it's good, though Stella brings that out also so...well I'm not going into that subject! In the all that matters to me that Mac is happy then I'm happy too. Okay I may sulk a bit on the closet if the choose comes out something that I didn't prefer...:guffaw:

Jools thank you for posting those droolable pics. They indeed made my day. The man looks hot as always.:drool::drool:

Ou here's the link I posted in facebook also. But I thought others who can't see it in there can get it from here so. This vid is probably from season 2 (not sure) It's really funny and you can see Gary and Melina there. :D

And now here's the pics from the episode The Party's over I'll see next week. So I had to be a bit impatient and get pic from Detective Taylor in a tux....umm :drool::drool::drool:

Watched 'Redemptio' last night, good ep, though not much Mac. But that's okay 'cause I know there are some good Mac-eps coming up. Was great to see him taking the boss role and really working hard and pulling strings to save Hawkes. I was really disappointed that we didn't get anything from him re the revelation about Danny's badge. I hope we get a major reaction from him later. Otherwise the writers are either being kinda lazy, or writing him really OOC, which is unusual for them, generally the writing for Mac has been, if not so varied of late, fairly consistent and good. Even Gary's always stressing how by-the-book Mac is. Though he also stresses how contained Mac is, so maybe there's going to be a really big eruption. I hope so, because when Mac loses it, you really notice. I think Gary might enjoy a good venting, too.

I'm looking forward to seeing pics/hearing snippets about 'Point of View' which airs this Weds over in the States, so I will love anyone who provides such juicy bits very much.

Sam, thanks for the pics. Mac looks so hot in his tux in The Party's Over.
I hope you enjoy/ed the episode.

Not much new Mac left to go, ladies.:( Thank God for DVDs, huh?

Oooh, have any of the UK lot seen the Hallmark trailers for CSI NY? Lots of oldie but hottie Mac moments.

I don't blame you, so many good eps. I think I might start reserving Monday nights for a bit of old-Mac viewing. I still have all of my s5 dvds to rewatch, but am going to save it for those Mac-less months while the show is on hiatus - especially as said hiatus is even longer here than in the States.

Just giving our sexy detective's thread a *bump*.
To keep on topic - I was listening to this audiobook the other night, and one of the characters mentioned 'handling a Big Mac', and I thought I'd love to handle Big Mac. They meant the burger, of course, and I don't.
