Totally agreed. Flack and Sid are not working directly under Mac but they have the wisdom and great visions. I suspect Hawkes knows too.

I am convinced to be together you need to find in your love your best friend. I think both of them use their friendship as a surrogate for a personal relationship. Mac is very afraid after losing Claire to commit again. He loved and he lost her love because of the violence. He is so afraid of loving someone again.
Stella never had anyone to love and she never had anyone who loved her (except Mindy). She is afraid because she is a loner. Her past, her own personal history made her in that way. She want a commiment and at the same time she is very afraid of loving someone

Mac lost Claire and well Peyton broke his heart, and then we have Stella who is unlucky when it comes to finding good guys, she had Frankie and then Drew who tried to get to her to get to Mac, but she felt something wasn't right with him..
They both have had pasts that might make them not wanting to fall in love again, because they might be afraid to get hurt again..
And the fact that their friendship is something that they need to have, they have each other to, talk with, have a shoulder to cry on if they feel like it, or just sit together in their company, and have each other to put into place if they go to far.. maybe they are afraid to lose that friendship and go further to more than just friends, i think if they lose that friendship they both would be lost, Mac need Stella to put him into place, and Stella need Mac to also put her into place.. we already had that on 4.10. Stella freaking out because Mac was kinnaped but later she went after him (Mac saved the day because Drew was so close to kill her!)
i wish they could have explained WHy on Earth Drew picked her up instead of Virus. Virus was still around but Drew chose Stell

there got to be a reason that made Drew pick Stella instead of the VIrus.. The virus was Mac's girlf, why not pick the one that he's with, except if Drew had the feeling that Stella means more to Mac than the virus?

Pleni--> WOW! thanks for the pic! It made my stomach fell (It's a really good sculpture!) I didn't know it existed (I should pay more attention to my Spanish Guide the same one i had to study at college for my final on Worldwide Tourist Geography). It reminds me there is a sculpture of La Virgen de Los Dolores in Lourdes Church which caused me the same impression the first time i saw it. I believe to make such piece she (the artist) might be in pain or deeply connected to what she was doing. Thanks again for teaching me this

It's not that I didn't love her, it's just that I despised her because I couldn't understand her. I found her so cold, so detached, so bossy and so bitchy she made me wanna punch her in the nose. Anyway, not long ago I saw those episodes -I've already rewatched most of season 1- and realized her face during that "Thanks". Poor thing felt terrible and I thought her "date" at the end of the episode was out of place. I wish she'd just gone home to be torn between happiness and sadness for Mac instead of going to meet probably Frankie.

i am very pleased you changed your mind on her. She is an orphan and she had to learn how to survive every day knowiing the only person who could save her butt was herself and the only one who cared about her was herself too. It might be very painful for her. I remember when in Trapped Danny didn't want to meet his brother and she tolf him "But it's your brother" (I can't quote). She was very emotional and you could see her frustration because other people had families but they didn't seem to apreciate the greatest gift they have received having one. And she was there, wanting one but not having any among the walls of her apartment. My poor Stella deserves a family, a lovely caring family with kiddos (That's part of my personal frustration why we had to have the "First CSI Baby " now)

I think the four last episode will be hard for Mac and Stella and will be great because there will here for each other no in couple but like for the last episode of season 4. And maybe there will a little somethink more who show us that the season 6 will be the season on chnage for mac and stella and a great season for smac family. But I don'y believe that there will be in couple or that there will be a kiss but may be something which show us that they have feeling for each other and that it'll be the story for the last season. Like Delko and Calleigh in csi miami. They just together now but since two years we know that they have feeling for each other.
So for it'll not be the great scene smac like a kiss... But it'll be great too

Deb, awwww... I also want her to have a family one day with lots of Taylor babies. The only problem with that is all the cheesiness involved in the process and the always present need of dramatic!drama. Most people have normal children, with no rare incurable degenerative illnesses, no disabilities and no psychos/kidnappers/molesters in the neighborhood.

I can see Stella falling hard for Mac when they first met and thinking "Bad, bad, bad! He's your boss, he's married and he's... got the most amazing blue eyes! Errr... bad, Stella, bad!" It's either that or they first hated each other, then learned to respect each other and finally got to this pre-romance impasse.

somehow the simply thing of holding his own child is a complete different thing with a younger man as Danny could be for example. A man at Mac's age live the miracle of life with more intensity because Mac never thought he could finally become into a dad. Well, that's my impression anyway

i think both of them were impressed but both suprissed their mutual amazement for the good of their friendly relationship (A friendship was better than anything)
It was said Stella did have good fights with him including in that the same beautiful relationship they had now before Claire dead. And even they went for dinner togetehr. have you ever watched Beyonce's video "If i were a boy". I think it could be a lot like that their relationship!!!
