Life Changing Events (Snicker RP)

Grissom nodded. He could understand that.
"I am very patient. I'll wait for her. I'll wait for you. I'm sure things will sort themselves out eventually."
They just had to...

~~~~~~~~
Lindsey put away the glasses after a quick rinse. She waited a few minutes, knowing they were probabaly talking about her. She went back after she heard her mom get up.
"Hey Sara. I'm pretty much ready to go." She looked around, noticing that her mom was not present.
"Did my mom go outside with... him?"
Sara just smiled "okay well then lets go *she looked at Lindsey* we're really going to need your help here cause Niether one of us *looking at Nick* really knows what we're doing"
"You're doing okay so far." Lindsey smiled. "I'm not nearly as bratty as my mom might make me seem."
She grabbed her bag before leading Nick and Sara outside.
Catherine nodded. She wasn't exactly sure how long it would take, but she was going to make this work. "Call me later, kay?" she asked as she wrapped her arms around him.
Nick went outside to the Denali with Sara and Lindsey close behind.He tried to be the perfect gentleman,holding the door open for Sara and helping her into the passengers seat. He gave her a quick kiss on the cheek before getting into the vehicle and driving off.
"So, ladies, how much stuff do you think we're gonna need for this little rascal?" the smile on his face was brighter than usual.
Sara looked at him and smiled "I have no idea I'm just as new at this baby stuff as you are *she turned and looked at Lindsey* and Linds is just along for the ride , I know we'll need a car seat and a crib straight off the bat though"
Grissom smiled at Catherine, "Sure."
Then he climbed into his car, shooting Catherine one last look before driving away.
~~~~~~~
"Do you know if it's a boy or a girl?" Lindsey thought about what clothes would look cute on a baby. "Something pink and frilly would look great on a girl. But if it's a boy don't get him some embarrassing clothes with animal prints and stuff."
She remembered pictures her mom had when she was a baby.
Catherine must have thought Lindsey looked good with ducky and puppy printed shirts and shorts. She shuddered and decided to inform the couple of the best outfits and toys a baby could ever hope for.

(Cath's alone lol, she needs some time to think)

Cath's heart was torn as Grissom drove away from her. It felt to her like he was driving out of her life. She was stuck in the middle. Her daughter wasn't ready for this kind of relationship between her and Grissom, but then again she never would be. Cath thought about how hard it must be for her, but she loved Grissom. She shuddered at the thought of choosing between the two if Lindsey didn't want her with Grissom. It would be an obvious choice if it came down to that. She loved Grissom, but Lindsey was Catherine's first priority in life. She wondered if she knew that. She felt a tear slide down her face as she walked back into the house.

Sara turned around to face Lindsey "well we dont know for sure what the Sex is yet I guess you dont find that out till the fifth or sixth month and i'm only 3 months right now But we're working on the hunch that it could be a girl"

(Grissom can ponder too. :))

The drive home cleared his head a bit, but he was till feeling antsy. Grissom wanted so much to please Lindsey, especially after knowing her for so many years. He almost felt like a sort of father, but then again, that's not what she wanted.
He decided he shouldn't try and win her over - he should talk to her... No. Talk with her.

~~~~~~~~
"A girl... awesome! She needs some dresses and some casual wear. It has to be cute but not overly girly," Lindsey found herself rambling. It wasn't often she got to help a couple plan for their baby. She hoped that when the baby was born, she could look after it.
Nick playfully rolled his eyes and smiled. "I'll be happy either way." He secretly hoped it was a little girl who would look exactly like Sara.
Then he turned to her and asked "Where to Mrs.Stokes?" He loved the way it sounded.
Sara couldnt help but smile at him,she loved him with all her heart and soul and was excited not only about having his baby but about Marrying him,she turned to him still grinning "we can go to that new Mall on the Strip" she then turned to Lindsey "what aboout you Linds? where do you think we should go?"
"A new mall? Sounds awesome," Lindsey replied. She could just shop her troubles away...
Lindsey sighed.
When did her mom's private life become her troubles? She tried not to care, and figured if her mom was happy, she should be as well. Besides, her mom has gone for worse guys than Uncle Gil...
But it was unfair and just unnatural! They were meant to be co-workers and friends, nothing more.
Maybe... she could break them up! They are better off as friends, and she needs to show them that!
With a plan forming, Lindsey sat up and smiled again.
Her mom would be grateful for what she was planning to do.
