Laurence/Raymond: Man of Mystery

Re: Laurence/Raymond: The New Guy

I enjoyed his appearance on the show! I think he'll make a great addition and look forward to seeing how Catherine and him will work together and seeing how he can handle being a CSI Level 1 at his age.

I think he'll be a great addition to the show. I like him already.

Re: Laurence/Raymond: The New Guy

He did an amazing job in 19 Down. It feels like that kind of quality acting is one of those things that falls into the Supreme-court-porn-opinion category of 'I can't define it, but I know it when I see it.' I can't put my finger on every little nuance he clearly mastered within the episode, but I could still tell that it took such a talented actor to really deliver that sort of performance. He just made it work, and I really can't imagine many actors (maybe not even WP) making it work so well. I honestly don't mean this as Horatio/Caruso-bashing, but I can't imagine Caruso pulling that performance off. Bravo for another brilliant CSI Vegas frontman! There were so many scenes in previews where it felt like most people would have turned the character into a stereotypical 'new guy,' but LF really delivered, and made the character his own, distinct man. I'm so excited to see where TPTB take his character. I see bright things in the future.

I'm glad I'm not the only who is going to enjoy that dynamic. It's very inspiring to think about for someone like me heading into that age (aaak) and knowing one can start a new.

Re: Laurence/Raymond: The New Guy

In the current CBS's Watch! magazine there is an article about CSI with focus on the arrival of Larry/Langston. I don't think there's much that's new to us, but still, if you're interested in reading it, I've got a scan uploaded here. :)

Re: Laurence/Raymond: The New Guy

It might be to build popularity for his character. Personally, I'm not a Miami fan (can't stand H), but I have heard that it's the most watched show in the world, or at least the most popular scripted one. Introducing Langston to Miami watchers would be a wise move, since it could potentially bring a lot of those viewers over to Vegas.

Re: Laurence/Raymond: The New Guy

What's in the article is all Caruso's words, though. I doubt that TPTB are considering it for serious. I personally wouldn't mind a cross-over, but I think they have to develop the new character to some extend before they do that.

Re: Laurence/Raymond: The New Guy

As I said in the spoiler Lab which is where it is posted also it sounds to me like the article is speculation, and that DC just gave his opinion on it, and again like I said, they talked yippee don't mean it is going to happen, they liked the idea again don't mean its happening. It could be that both actors have mutal respect for each other and wouldn't mind doing a cross-over, but unless or until it happens speculation for fodder who really knows for sure.

Laurence/Ray: Because even Professors need love.

I don't know, I just think that he needs some love. I definitely love him and his character, it's really authentic. :] Laurence is a great addition to the team, and I think he's my favorite character ever on CSI. I can't think of anybody I like more, haha.

Spread the love, man! :D

Re: Laurence/Raymond: The New Guy

Since there was already a thread for this character/Actor, I figured I would merge your thread into this one.

Re: Laurence/Raymond: The New Guy
