Once he has been in a few episodes, you might want to add him to the birthday list as being born on July 30, 1961. (Drat, I am even older than him!) This is consistant between IMDB, Wikipedia, and his official site. On the site, there is a biography, filmography, picture gallery, message board, and more.

I found an interesting article mentioning LF and how the Obama effect is changing television.

Hmm..Obama on CSI!!! :bolian:Yummy! :bolian:Only in my dreams..oh well..I'll take LF and George instead..

Oh Dynamo1..age is just a number;), but I feel sort of aged when I see Lauren Lee Smith.

I am getting eager to see him. There are new behind the scenes videos up on cbs.com featuring him. I think his character will be a fresh new change to the show.

Is LF any good as an actor? I know of him, but I've never actually seen him in anything. Nothing he has ever ben in has ever appealed to me. In the UK we just don't here that much about him.

He's not an actor that I care too much for, but I can honestly say he is a good actor... atleast when it comes to serious roles. I know after seeing the clips they have on CBS.com, I can't wait to see more of his character tonight.

He's an incredible actor and has been in many riveting movies, all great. I just saw him in 21 with Kevin Spacey, and the security guy, eye in the sky watching the gambling shennigans on the Casino floor, and was great. also He was Ike Turner, in "What's Love Got To Do with It" with Angela Bassett portraying the tumultuous life of their marriage, which was nominated for 3 Oscars, and the movie "BOBBY" he played a lead chef in 1968, plus many more, he's very versatile!

He's an incredible actor -- definitely one of the most well-regarded movie actors around. CSI is very fortunate to have him.

On a side note, I stumbled across People's Sexiest Man issue a few weeks ago while in a waiting room and, lo and behold, LF was also in that, albeit in the 'sexy at any age' section.

This sounds kind of weird, but the main reason I'm a fan of him is that he's married to Firefly's Gina Torres (she played Zoe).

    A little tid-bit Q & A from ths week's PEOPLE magazine with LF~

    Laurence Fishburne/DEATH BECOMES HIM

"The Matrix's Morpheus, 47, jumps into the cast of CBS's hit drama CSI on Dec. 11, playing renowned pathlogolist Dr. Raymond Langston!

Q The public knows you more from film. Ready for a change?
A I see TV as a great medium. he last time I worked regularly on a show was Pee-wee's Playhouse 20 years ago. I'm not much of a TV watcher. But I sat down, after being approached by CSI and felt like 'Wow, I can do that!"
Q And you're pals with departing star William Petersen?
A We've known each other a long time. There's something very organic about our friendship. My coming on CSI feels like a natural fit to both of us!
Q Have you figured out what makes this guy tick? Viewers are being told he has a dark side!
A There is an opportunity to develop the character as I go. I don't have to have all the answers right from the onset, but I am more than happy!
Q Is it true you and Lauren Hutton are biker buddies?
A Yeah, we ride together, BMW motorcycles!

Oh that is right. I like her. I loved her on Firefly.

It's good that he has known WP beforehand.

Well we had our first glimpse at Dr. Langston! He was great. I'm thinking this guy will tie with Nick as my favourite which is nice. That way if Nick gets short-changed as usual, I'll have someone else to enjoy. Hopefully!

    Re: Laurence/Raymond: The New Guy

I've watched nearly all the episodes of this show, and do so almost solely for William Peterson. Nick and (late) warrick were good enough. But Catherine, is not believable as a human being, let alone a "scientist" (you need a PhD to call yourself that, and her IQ isn't over 50). Every episode I find myself, at least once, saying "I hate catherine, she's a tool", yet I return over and over, for Gill Grisson. Lawrence Fishburne is definitely an interesting actor, so hopefully he can carry the show because making Catharine supervisor, is CSI suicide.

While you have the right to your opinion, we do have rules on this board, and being new breaking a basic one isn't real cool. Click Here to intro yourself with the rules.
Show Criticism: It's fine to say a certain aspect of CSI is bad, as long as you don't insult the people who think otherwise, and as long as you actually back up what you say. Jumping in and shouting "Willows sucks!" is not an acceptable form of constructive criticism.

So lets tone it down, you can say you dislike a character without bashing them, in the process, the characters are fictional lets keep that in mind when using constructive criticism. Thank you.
