Late Night with Conan O'Brien

I know I love Stever Carrel and I love Conan so you put them in a room together and its very hard not to laugh!
 
COB arrived here yesterday. I feel sorry for him :lol: They showed a clip from the airport when he arrived... I just thought "what fucking idiot kids" seriously... I feel sorry for him.
 
There was probably over a thousand fans. Mostly women and all that screaming and stuff... I swear, half of those are "fans" just because of the Finland stuff what he has been pulling last few months. I've been fan of him for years.

They showed clip on 10 o'clock news and there was this, probably a 15 yrs old guy yelling "OMG!!!11 I almost touched COB" *sighs*

He had actually been brave enough and took a walk on the street in the evening and of course there was some teeny idiots around him. It's funny how stupid things people can say when they meet someone famous.

Anyways... Conan will meet our president on Tuesday.
Also on tuesday he'll be in Telvis awards (our own tv awards) and he'll even recieve one :p

It ws funny to see what stuff Finns brought to Conan. All Finnish stuff like ryebread and all that stuff :lol: some "official" people had made a cake where read "Welcome to Conelandia" and there was pics of Conan and Tarja :p

This guy is so funny! I've seen a few episodes cause we don't get the show here. I've seen the one with Will Moseley (Peter from Narnia) in which he talked about his McDonald's action figure and said something about ginger hair and Conan goes like "What's wrong with ginger hair?!?". It was hilarious! xD And did anyone see the interview with Simon Cowell? The part with Triumph the insult comic dog (that's his name, right? heh) and he was like "What's with the 80's hair? Get a lawyer and sue 'Super Cuts'" lol. Simon laughed at that bit, but then he said something like "Who do you think you are? Oh, yeah, I get it, you're the star of American Idol, they should rename it 'British homo'". The look on his face was priceless. I like Simon, but sometimes his comments are way to harsh, so I liked it that someone was being harsh to him too. :p I think he felt a bit insulted.. but it was hilarious! :lol:
 
i loves conan! i havent seen the show in a while and it makes me sad, he was the only late night show i liked. in the saturday paper, they usually print the best couple of jokes from all the lat night hosts, and conan is always the best!
i was so jealous, when he came to toronto two years ago my friend got tickets (they gave out tickets through a draw) and she got to go to the episode with jim carrey and eric mccormick! some of the toronto episodes were the funniest things id ever seen. when he was dressed as a mountie and hasseling people at the boarder i almost died! i should really remember to watch his show again, not like i have 8 am classes anymore :D
 
Didn't Conan eventually had to apologize Canada?
I remember that stuff too but I think Triumph was pretty evil there...


Here LNwCOB is aired 3 days after it's aired in US (Thursday is rerun day) and it starts around 22:45-23:15 and will be shown again on the next day at 16:45. I usually catch rerun better because we only see that channel in living room and my dad is always watching something else in the evening. (and amazingly he stops watching it just about when LNwCOB is about to end)

I'd so wanted to see Conan but I live so far away :( My sis lives near Helsinki but I don't think I could have made it there... *sighs*
 
Yeah he did. I don't think he knew how bad of an idea it was to insult the French Canadians. The media kind of blew it out of proportion though (like they always do) The government paid for him to go to Toronto and then people were saying NBC should pay back the money.
 
Yeah, I read that he did apologize but they didn't return the money. I was like "apologize or return the money"
I remember when he was a mountie and was on the border... that scene I remember. It was so funny. But then again, I guess whole relationship between US/Canada is totally different than Conan's relationship with Finland.

And to insults, I think "Conan O'Brien hates my homeland" was great idea :)

Heh, he visited on talkshow tonite (kinda serious talk show) and he claimed that difference between Finns and others is that we actually can laugh at the stuff and to ourselves. But yeah, I'm not a person who takes those comments too seriously.

It was such a great interview. Guy who's show it was (Arto Nyberg) is a very serious man (tho can laugh at jokes, like he laughed at COB now and then) and Conan was making funny comments but whole convo was so serious. And it was strange to see Conan so calm.

The one thing Conan kept wondering is how well Arto could go from translating to next question. BEcause it was live interview, he had to translate into Finnish now and then so they talked a bit, Arto translated it and without a pause, he already went with a next question in English and Conan said "I'n American, no one could go that. GOing to next question from translating without a break... like blahblahblahblahba, so Conan, what....?"

He hadn't been swimming in frozen lake (or sea) today :( he wasn't brave enough :p

He flies to Lapland tomorrow. Too bad I didn't get to Uni there, so I could have seen him (I live middle of the country so no hope to get south or north) I'd wished it would have been bit more cold while he was here ;)

And now he missed terrible snowstorm in NYC ;)
 
I love conan! And truimph! I loved him at the people choice awards a few years back and he was makin jokes about caly ruben studdard from american idol and he was like "If i crapped somethin that big i'd get hit over the head with a rolled up newspaper!" oh it was funny!

Conan liftin up his shirt! whooooa.....! lol. I missed him on friday...oh well there's always mondaY!
 
^I don't know did he lift his shirt because... well, according to his words... there was some people without a shirt, greeting Conan at airport and he was wondering how they could, since it's really cold. (been probably around -6c in Helsinki, but it's always feels colder there becaues it's on the coast).

I'm not sure was there anyone without a shirt but knowing the Finnish culture... When you go to wait for something - and it's Saturday... of course you've been sipping some beer while waiting so... I'm pretty sure of it (that there was half-naked people) :lol:
 
Conan met our president today...
And Mrs. President gave Conan Moomintrolls to take to his kids... so adorable! So cute :D

His interviews has been great :D And when he was tonite in our TV awards show, he gave award to "best female performer" and it went to wonderful stand up comedian "Krisse". Krisse has show where she invites some celebrity to her show. She acts very stereotype blonde role and she's awesome. So, she did her "role" also on stage, in English and it was just great.

*sighs* I cannot wait to see the footage from his visit on his show.
 
Aww...that's cute.

For me conan normally comes on at 11:35 but with the olympics and everything its been backed up. I know Jay Leno has been on but I have no clue about conan. And I really want to see it!
