"Irradiator" Disscussion *SPOILERS*

~ The mother kind of confused me. Did she get shot the first time or not?
~ Nick+Child=Adorable
~ “It was him. …right?”
~ *frowns for doggeh*
~ Is it just me or have the CSIs been more guns-out-clearing-houses this season?
~ Do not blame the dog. Dogs are dogs. Not to blame the victims, but it’s their job to keep the dog from doing all of those things.
~ Poor aunt. Poor guy.
~ Yeah. I already knew that. There aren’t that many medical things that go along with the word “radiator”, buddy.
~ Weather update, go away! I don’t care about you, thunderstorm that isn’t even here yet!
~ Sometimes I consider the fact that Wallace Langham has to be a pretty good sport.
~ Doctor Suspicious is Suspicious. So… it’s not him, then?
~ I believe that this is the second time that Langston’s lost his temper.
~ Wait, are they allowed to do that in a sterile environment in a hospital?
~ Wrong guy, security.
~ Ray? Don’t you have a gun that you should be using right now?
~ Wow, really? What kind of ending is that? Not that they could’ve gotten anywhere special with the case.

PROMO: This is going to be awful, isn’t it?

i give irradiator a 8 out of 10

dr jekyll i'd say is a young man between 18 and late 20's tops, could it be malander's son ?? or one of the students in ray's class from last season, or even both, could be the doctor ray hit but eh i dunno

dr j. taking ray's id so now he's gonna use it to get into the lab or police department to do god knows what, i hope they can hint something before the season finale

so if jekyll breaks into the lab, one of the lab rats will solve it? perhaps?? wendy maybe, and then ekclie will let her become a csi next season :):)

i agree with sara "this is severly twisted" on the guy's head being operated on and everything :wtf:

brass got a little more screentime tonight, *jaw drops wide open* wow i'm impressed cause that never happens anymore

greggo was looking great tonight :drool: but wish he could of had a few more scenes

sara had a decent amount of sceentime , and nick also  wish they could have addressed her being gone last week and catherine's stakeout with vartann, and sara or someone teasing cath about vartann and her last week :)

can't wait for next week- the lab rat episode, wedges, and the teams dopplegangers :) and i'm curious and excited to see hodges with grissom's doppleganger, hodges probably won't see it or will be like "ya know he reminds me of someone" but he can't figure out who :lol:

I loved this one! :) It kept me interested the whole time and I loved seeing the whole team involved.

For whatever reason, I noticed that Sara's vest still says "Sidle" but that her evidence was tagged SSG. ;)

This episode was better than the last few weeks have been.

I was wondering why Dr. Jekyll just did not kill Ray (I would not have cared.) I wonder what he will do with his ID too.

It was interesting how the case started with the guy and then it turned out he was actually one of Dr. Jekyll's victims.

I was very disappointed to hardly see Greg in this episode again, especially when they were all in the conference room talking about the case, except him. I just hate how they cannot figure him into more of the show. Take away from of Ray's time. Catherine was not even in that much overall. It was the Ray and Nick show, with some Sara thrown in and then a little of everyone else.

I did like seeing Hodges in his layers because of the radiation.

Though I am still not 100% thrilled with the playing out of the Dr. Jekyll storyline, I have to say it was a little more intriguing to me tonight then the past episodes. Perhaps it was because there was more action with the chase and being "possibly" so close to catching him. And I am curious now as to what the guy has in mind after taking Ray's ID badge.

I have to say that I did enjoy seeing Nick and Sara working together for a while, until Ray came on the scene. And apart from Greg's disappearing act part way through, I think there was a decent job done on the screen time for the characters.

And I also thought it was nice that Catherine commented on Hodges' thoroughness with his work.

I think I would have to give this a 8 out of 10 cause it kept my attention the entire episode.

My only question is, when Nick, Sara and the two policemen approached the house next door, why didn't the police enter first? I mean I know Nick and Sara both have weapons, but isn't it the job of the cops to do the sweep and clear the area before the CSI's enter?

Really exciting episode tonight....even though I knew we weren't going to get Jekyll's identity tonight

Loved Nick and Gracie.....I don't know how many of you watch Criminal Minds but Gracie hiding in the window box reminded me of Hotch's son Jack hiding in the same kind of box in the episode 100

Something that I noticed, could have been a prop booboo but, when Nick walks up to Gracie's hospital room he's clearly using an Iphone in a white sleeve but when he's chasing after Jekyll he has a blackberry I assume (I don't have a cell phone so my knowledge of what they all look like is nil )

And why was Nick sitting on the layout room table?

It was established that Jekyll takes things from his victims and does something with these items, I wasn't clear on if he leaves these things in the bodies or not, so maybe he'll insert Langston's badge in someone? That's a gross thought.

Overall, enjoyed the episode.

I haven't watched the episode yet, but Dr. J took Ray's ID? Is there something in the CSI water? Danny on NY got his badge stolen and now Ray gets his ID stolen? Yeesh!

I absolutely loved this episode, and at the same time feel so sorely disappointed. Greg was in this episode even less than the previous 3. I love the way Nick is being so prominantly featured, he has really earned it, but so has Greg...
My new theory about the very upsetting lack of Greg-greatness: I believe they are officially trying to make us believe that Greg is Jekyl. His absence at key points speaks volumes...first at the bowling alley, to come in after the family moment (that just really bugs me) and now at the table when they are discussing the case (everyone else was there). Then tonight, when he made that strange comment (when talking to Sara while dusting the window's ledge for prints) about enjoying the power over someone to kill them. The look of sadness about the dog; Greg loves dogs so he was sad OR Greg did not mean for his experiment to hurt a dog, only his intended victims...could be read either way...
This is one of those times that I sincerely hope that I am wrong, but I got a strong feeling tonight that this is where they are heading.
Wow, so many things about this episode rocked, but I am soooooo disappointed/upset/frustrated about the Greg-anemia that I can't remember them :scream:.

Having Greg not in the eps much and disappear halfway through the eps is not something new. It's been happening for years and years mostly ever since he became a CSI. So I think it's just that they are too lazy to write everyone in or just don't have good ideas for everyone... or are spending too much time on other characters (mainly newer ones). Catherine hasn't been as prominent in a lot of eps this season either. So, I don't think it's just Greg. Even Brass is getting much less time. Heck, even Hodges on occassion. You'd think that with only four (sometimes five) CSIs and usually two cases per ep they could fit everyone in. The majority of these writers are just not very good at doing so or they focus too much on one character or ongoing storyline. For Miami its E/C, for NY its Mac or Stella, for this show its Jekyll/Ray. I'm beginning to think that the majority of tv writers just are not very good at multi-tasking. That's why I still say they should have certain writers assigned one or two characters that they are good at writing and other writers assigned other characters and then they should put it all together to form an episode rather than having only one or two writers script each ep.

Not an overly great episode, but fairly average.
My summary points:

* the actress who played the daughter did a great job.
* I guess we see the reason why Cath was absent for quite a while - she was doing the paperwork on Hodges' 17 sheets!
* Can't really explain the disappearance of Greg, though.
* It was nice to have Sara back in a more prominent role here.
* I swear we've seen the CSIs draw their guns more in the past couple seasons than the first 8 combined. Makes me wonder where the writers have put all of the regular Uniform cops. C'mon! Even Akers (Yay!!! AKERS!!!!) had a bigger part in this one, why is it that the CSIs always find the action & not the Unis?
* oh, and Cath's hair looks fab in this one!!
* Ray's Grissom imitation at the end was kind of pathetic (the Strip Strangler imitation - going after a crazed killer, with no Catherine to bail him out this time!!)
* and because of all of my Stargate SG-1 watching (with Carter's technobabble), I actually understood the whole Hodges explanation with the radiation seeds. (jeez, I'm a techno geek now *headdesk)
* and it's very strange that I didn't recognize John Pyper-Ferguson as Dr Burke. He didn't look anything like I'd seen him in other shows - including the CSI pilot. interesting.

That was a pretty intense episode. I got information overload about radiation seeds though. Iridium 192. Nice job writers for well done research. As I was expecting, they're not going to catch Dr. Jekyll right away. This episode is a nice build up for the story.

I have some questions in my mind: why Dr. Jekyll didn't kill Ray? Why get his ID? If Dr. Jekyll is someone we know from the lab, why would he risk going to the hospital? And why does he have that kind of access to the hospital knowing the investigation is going? Anyway, a great episode. 9.5/10

As far as Jekyll episodes go, I enjoyed this one the most. Still not sure how much I actually like the Jekyll storyline, but this ep wasn't bad.

I really enjoyed Nick, Sara and Brass here. Nick finding and helping Gracie was nice. Poor guy. First Cassie McBride and now Gracie. He has the best and worst luck with kids. He finds and saves them, but also is the one who has to talk to them on the worst days of their lives.:(

I find that the more of Sara I see this season, the more I like her. She's changed - for the better. It also feels more like a classic CSI when she's around.

Brass always surprises me. I thought he would rip Ray a new one after he smacked the doctor. He didn't. But the 'advice' he gave really summed up why I'm having trouble liking Ray. The man won't accept advice or help - which basically tells me that Ray thinks he doesn't need it. Arrogance. And he also has anger issues. Though, to be fair, the doctor was being a jerk.

Very little Greg, Catherine and Wendy. *sigh* I did like the few scenes Greg did have though. Was it me, or did Greg look annoyed with Sara when she walked away as he was talking to her? If so, I think that's the first time I've seen him get that way with her. Interesting.

As for Ray's encounter with Jekyll and the stealing of the badge - I saw it coming. After he was knocked down, I said to myself "I bet he takes Ray's ID". Nailed it! I am a slightly more interested in the Jekyll case to see where this development leads.

Overall, not a bad episode. I'll give it a B.

I thought it was a pretty good episode. Wasn't crazy about the ending, but that's alright.

Love seeing Nick's softer side. Loved Nick and Sara working together for a little bit - I wish we would see more of those two together. And I liked Nick and Catherine's scene where they were talking about Dr. Jekyl - it's nice to see the two people in charge talking about the case.

Brass was great, as always.

I very much enjoyed the first 45 minutes, or so, of this episode. It had some nice character moments and an intriguing case. All the characters were involved. I especially liked the Sara scenes, and even more so the Sara/Greg scenes. It's nice to have the smart/focused Sara on a case. I thought the scene where she walked away from Greg was kind of amusing; it reminded me a little of Grissom. And Greg did seem a little annoyed, but not to the point of being irked. It was like a 'here we go again' moment. The scenes between these two are saving the season for me.
Other positives: Brass was Brass, and Hodges was Hodges.

The negatives: the last 10-15 minutes. The whole hospital chase scene was far fetched, the doctor's reaction to Ray over-the-top, and vice versa. In this day and age, can one book really have that much impact on doctors' reputations?. Most doctors I know have other more important issues to worry about than a single book and its author. I guess since I'm in the medical field, I'm more critical of the medical plot holes. And Ray and Dr. Jekyll's storyline has so many. In that sense, I found the end predictable and boring. The Ray/Jekyll story arc has just not intrigued me at all; but it's clear I will have to tolerate it a while longer.
