"I still have a question about an episode" thread #2

I'm sorry if this is out of place, as it is not about a specific episode, but I have this question and I didn't find anywhere else to post it...Am I missing some "character questions" thread?!

Anyway, is Hawkes (from NY) some kind of special CSI? Like a ME/CSI? Because I have noticed that even though he is in the field since season 2, he still acts like a ME in crime scenes. I understand that it's natural as he knows how to examine the dead body, but I have found myself thinking about how he acts and it seems strange to me. I mean, I think he does too many explanations about the body first instead of examining the whole crime scece. Maybe it's just my impression or something. But I also think I have noticed, at least in one episode, that we don't even see an ME in the scene, after Hawkes explanations. Maybe ME don't go to the scenes in NY, just in the other two shows, and I am confusing everything :confused:

As far as I know, he's just a CSI (well, Detective now I 'spose since he flashed a badge in the last episode). I think checking out the body and trying to figure out COD and TOD just comes second nature to him, since he was an ME for so many years.
 
miami help please!

i dont watch this one regularly, so when i do remember to watch it i am lost with the personal story lines. what did wolfe do to get himself fired? i know from monday he had a debt to the one suspect, but im not sure how that affected his work and got him fire/all his old cases looked at.
 
I have a question about an episode from Vegas. Does anyone know the name of the episode where there a showgirl hat as a peice of evidence and Greg wears and walks out of his lab and think it is Nick that gives him a strange look.
