Re: I Have An Episode/Character Question Thread *No Spoilers

ohh well I have anyother question, even though I posted it in the Grissom quote section.

Can somebody explain his quote "Now that the trees are gone I can finally see the forest." And possibly give me an analogy for the quote!!!

Re: I Have An Episode/Character Question Thread *No Spoilers

well i know that there's a saying in german with trees and forrest, it goes "man sieht den wald vor lauter bäumen nicht"....
it meens that he couldn't see the forrest because of all the trees (in a figurative sense ;) )
maybe you could say that something was so obvious that he didn't see it although it was there the whole time....
i'm not even sure if that is what you wanted to know

Its part of the saying "You can't see the forest for the trees" Meaning you can't see whats in front of you when something is blocking your true vision/Meaning for what you are seeing.

In Grissoms case of "Now that the trees are gone I can finally see the forest." He sees the meaning and its no longer obstructed, but rather a very clear view because of catherines comment.
Tree's = Play the Politic game, Forest = Someone else who will, will take over.

Was that any help?

Re: I Have An Episode/Character Question Thread *No Spoilers

ohhh ok I got it now, thank you for clearing it up, as always.

Re: I Have An Episode/Character Question Thread *No Spoilers

No problem I use the phrase alot (The first one I mentioned) when I figure out what a family member has been hinting at and I have gotten the point. Glad to help.

Re: I Have An Episode/Character Question Thread *No Spoilers

I was looking for certain screen shots of Greg. I can "clip" them myself, but I unfortunately don't have time to sit and watch each episode for a straight hour to find the Greg clips. Can someone help me locate the following clips? I just need the episode, and I can scan for the clip itself, please. All involve Greg:

1) Wearing the fancy headdress
2) DNA lab blows up
3) Wearing the face mask/ glove (on head) when Grissom and Cath walk in
4) His first autopsy viewing
5) When Grissom calls him "MTV Boy"
6) ... any episode of him dancing in the lab
7) When he goes searching solo for a soda bottle in the field
 ... any episode (if there is one) of him off duty

I do really appreciate any and all help with this, as I am doing a video and need the clips for it...

Re: I Have An Episode/Character Question Thread *No Spoilers

I can try and help you a little bit. :)

1) Wearing the fancy headdress

Episode 1x15 Table Stakes (Well...I think so)

2) DNA lab blows up

Episode 3x22 Play with Fire

3) Wearing the face mask/ glove (on head) when Grissom and Cath walk in

Episode 2x20 Cats in the Cradle

7) When he goes searching solo for a soda bottle in the field

Episode 4x03 All for our Country

I'm not sure about the other clips.

Re: I Have An Episode/Character Question Thread *No Spoilers

1) Wearing the fancy headdress Season 1, Table Stakes
2) DNA lab blows up Season 3, Play with Fire
3) Wearing the face mask/ glove (on head) when Grissom and Cath walk in Season 2, Cats in the Cradle
4) His first autopsy viewing Season 5, Down the Drain
5) When Grissom calls him "MTV Boy" Season 5, Who shot Sherlock?
6) ... any episode of him dancing in the lab Don't think there is one besides Table Stakes (unless you're referring to the season promo where all the cast members but Nick dance)
7) When he goes searching solo for a soda bottle in the field Season 4, All for our country
... any episode (if there is one) of him off duty Don't think there is one

Re: I Have An Episode/Character Question Thread *No Spoilers

His first autopsy viewing is in 5x02 I believe

Re: I Have An Episode/Character Question Thread *No Spoilers

Lol, we all helped. I knew a few from the back of my head, I googled the rest ;)

Re: I Have An Episode/Character Question Thread *No Spoilers

Whoa, thanks you guys! That's incredibly helpful. Truly! It saves so much time, and I can spend more time actually editing the video instead of trying to rewatch the episodes (not that I mind, I just have no time).

Re: I Have An Episode/Character Question Thread *No Spoilers

Another Greg-episodes related question, please:

I've only seen halfway through Season Five, but I own through Season Six (will get 7 as soon as I can find it). Does anyone have any episodes they recomend with great Greg moments? Even in Season 6 or 7?

I am doing a video (as I said in a previous post) about Greg, and need great moments to add. I've thought of a few, but I have only seen all the episodes once and may have forgotten some of the really priceless ones.

Please, any advice/ recommendations would help. I know there's a scene of Greg getting beaten up in Season 7, but I'm clueless as to any other Greg moments.

Sam

Advice: no double posting. And I don't know what the rules about fanvids are here...I don't think that they are allowed to be discussed (copyright issues)
