Re: Horatio & Yelina #7 - "So Much Unresolved Love" (we quot

have we ever seen H's office?

I think we saw his office in an Season 4 episode. It was the episode where Marisol delivered her speech about all the things she wanted to experience in her life, for example she told H that she wanted a baby someday.
I think this took place at his office, but we didn't see a lot.

Re: Horatio & Yelina #7 - "So Much Unresolved Love" (we quot

We get to see it in S1 too. The episode where Megan quits, or the one after. Well I remember that there was a letter on his desk from Megan.. telling him she quits etc

Re: Horatio & Yelina #7 - "So Much Unresolved Love" (we quot

I saw it in S1 too, not only on the episode where Megan quits but also where she asked him who designed his office (or something like that)...I can't remember which episode but I know it was Megan who asked him that.

BTW Kit4na...beautiful banners!!!

TallyHo
In regards to your comment about an H/Y romance reversing the nosedive since '10-7'...I seriously doubt it. There's the whole 'Cult of Caruso' now who love to imitate him (especially on 'Talk Soup'). And TPTB (not to mention CBS) would love that kind of publicity. I've heard of some people tuning in just to hear H's one-liner to open the show, and then they'll tune in to something else.

Re: Horatio & Yelina #7 - "So Much Unresolved Love" (we quot

 That is spot on H in that scene! Are these reviews available online? If not, be a dear and please transcript for moi. How I WISH Jacob would do a Miami review.
I've not been able to find them online, but I shall keep looking and will transcript with pleasure in the meantime. :D Sadly, there isn't a review for every episode, but when they do feature one, they are always priceless and right on the money. Jacob reviewing Miami would be amazing! If only he would agree to watch it. He would need every single one of those cigarettes he smokes to last the 45 minutes!
I wonder if Sofia, at any time, offered any suggestions to tptb to take her character and Y & H down a different ( er, more intelligent, more progressive, more connected, more developed, more in depth, more......) route.
I was wondering about that too (partly provoked by thinking of how Mary McDonnell fights so hard for Laura on BSG), but I also get the impression (from commentaries and interviews) that there's only one actor on the show that has any real say in proceedings. ;) Ann D worships the ground DC walks on, which I don't think is terribly healthy for the show, as we have seen with the whole Marisol fiasco.

Yay indeed! :D You are in for such a treat of pure TV greatness. :)

A reminder of Season 2 brilliance - poignant, meaningful and as always, superbly acted between our two:

Re: Horatio & Yelina #7 - "So Much Unresolved Love" (we quot

We've seen H's office. I happened to watch 'Prey' last night, and there was this scene where H asks Natalia to drop a file on his table. In later scenes we see H sitting in his office looking through the contents of the file. And his office was extremely bare, I mean there was only this table and a chair. No, computer, nothing on the table, and it had glass walls, welll it was s4 so it was the crime lab where all the walls were replaced by glass.

Anyway I was wondering what kind of an office it was. Since thre's literally nothing inside. I guess the assumption that H moves about too much to have a office like Mac or Grissom would be correct.

Well I mentioned before, that there're lots of people who like to watch Miami simply cos H is cool. Like my husband, all H has to do is stand and look menacing in his sunnies and hands on hips and my husband remarks, while sitting next to me on the couch "So cool!".

But the episode wasn't a total mess like when H couldn't find the last girl in time he apologised to the victim's body, to which my husband remarked, "He talks to dead people now?" But the last scene where he "camped out" at Jennifer Wilson's house to protect her, I thought the scene with him crouching there outside her house in the night showed shades of the old caring H, who stil cares for the victims.

Speaking of influencing the writing, I notice that in the opening credits of the other two shows, WP and Gary Sinse are listed as producers of LV and NY, but DC's name never pops up as producer in Miami, thankfully. I think DC should still to acting, not producing or wrting the script or trying to influence the writing.

I know we'll never get a make out scene like in Pusher's avatar, but a scene like in LV with GSR, but instead with H/Y sitting side by side in bed talkng about the day's case would be nice.

Thanks for the pic Luce I'm sure whatever the writing, DC and SM wil still pull off that amazing chemistry. Weel even better if they don't talk and just do the eye-sex thing. :p

Not even a simple kiss on the lips??
I don't think that's asking for to much!
Come on, I need a kiss!!!!....

Re: Horatio & Yelina #7 - "So Much Unresolved Love" (we quot

I'm back again lol. I've been searching high and low and on the internet for a H/Y fan site but I can't find anything at all?! Has anybody got any good links? I can't really find and fanfic either :(

Re: Horatio & Yelina #7 - "So Much Unresolved Love" (we quot

I searched the web also, I found an msn group but it's inactive already for a couple of years.. :( I thought about starting one but I don't have the time to work on it :<

Re: Horatio & Yelina #7 - "So Much Unresolved Love" (we quot

"If you're trying to be cool, you're not cool. CSI Miami tries hard to be cool."
So, so true. I also love the Radio Times reviews. I always try to read them. There is something very British about their humour and I think the fact that us Brits aren't (usually) easily impressed is one of the reasons the other 2 CSI shows are more popular here. If someone or something tries too hard to be impressive, they usually become less and less impressive.

The opening sequence of Rio with H "crouching moodily" by the Christ The Redeemer statue was supposed to be impressive, but to me it felt alarmingly shallow. It really was as if they were portraying him as some kind of saintly, Christ-like figure, who was seeking redemption for his revenge mission...and this was before he went on his killing spree. I just found it very hypocritical and over the top. I would love to see this show get back to basics and stop being so ridiculous.

Anyway, do they have a plan re H/Y? Er, very unlikely based on their track record. As has been said, Yelina brings H back down to earth, and I feel the show desperately needs her influence.

Really beautiful pic from Blood Brothers btw. :D

There are some spoilers about Ryan who might want to become an ME investigator instead of a CSI.. Do you think that if the spoilers are true that perhaps Yelina might become a CSI? I know i'm reaching for something that's far away atm but still it's possible right? If they intend to bring Yelina back as fulltime it would sound like a "logical" thing to do. Yelina as CSI, Ryan as ME investigator,...

Going back to the words of Corey Miller, there were going to be storylines around H/Y.. Don't think they'll stretch the H son thing the whole season.. How would you react if my conclusion comes true? :D

Re: Horatio & Yelina #7 - "So Much Unresolved Love" (we quot

^^ we can hope! *prays* She needs to come back fulltime. We're in dire need of some cuteypoo H/Y moments :D

By the way welcome to the thread 19ams87 hope you enjoy your stay! :D

Yes indeed we're in need of some sweet H/Y moments :D

Re: Horatio & Yelina #7 - "So Much Unresolved Love" (we quot

MD, I'm so glad that you read the RT reviews too and that we are clearly singing from the same songbook. Your assessment of that opening scene in Rio was spot on. I recall that a fair few people felt this way too when the episode aired in the US.
Anyway, do they have a plan re H/Y? Er, very unlikely based on their track record. As has been said, Yelina brings H back down to earth, and I feel the show desperately needs her influence.
Yes, Yelina infuses that special something that the show has been missing. Kit, I would love to think Sofia is due to return fulltime, but I still think that's unlikely. I hope I am proven wrong on that. ;) The CSI idea is interesting, but I would like to see her in a more independent role, out from under H's shadow.

19ams87 I wrote a bunch of H/Y fics at the fan fic forum.

Here's the link to my latest update for the current fic, and the links to the other fics are there too thanks to Tati.

The show is certainly better with Y in it. H is better with Y around. And I hope tptb realise that. I think they have not closed the chapter on H/Y yet, it's just a matter of when, so we just have to be patient.

Been wanting to share these lyrics here. 'Delicate' by Damien Rice. The song from the end of 'Hurricane Anthony' during the H/Y scene. Thanks Lucy for telling me the song title. The first verse is very H/Y.

We might kiss when we are alone
When nobody's watching
We might take it home
We might make out when nobody's there
It's not that we're scared
It's just that it's delicate

So why do you fill my sorrow
With the words you've borrowed
From the only place you've know
And why do you sing Hallelujah
If it means nothing to you
Why do you sing with me at all?

We might live like never before
When there's nothing to give
Well how can we ask for more
We might make love in some sacred place
The look on your face is delicate

So why do you fill my sorrow
With the words you've borrowed
From the only place you've know
And why do you sing Hallelujah
If it means nothing to you
Why do you sing with me at all?

I don't like the idea, I'm hoping Ryan returns as a CSI. He deserves to be one. Like the driven Ryan in 'Under The Influence'. Sorry OT, wrong thread. But I really don't see Y as a CSI. I'd prefer if she kept the PI job or retunred as a detective. But I'd love if she's return as a regular. Even if she isn't, having her in alot of spisodes like in s2 would be nice too.
