first date, probably dinner and a kiss on the cheek. not a fancy dinner, but something nice.
maybe theyd go for drinks, but maybe not on the first date. i dont think that david would dance in public.
i dont see either as the type to do PDAs, nick looks like closet material.
i can see them watching a movie and cuddling on the couch.
i think that david does have horror movies...maybe im imagining...maybe in werewolves.
i think that david may have relationship issues, so nick will have to teach him how to have a proper relationship. lots of talking, making out without sex after, stuff like that. cuddling...
oh, my story is up, part 3 (with links to 1 and 2. 1 and 2 are pretty much pgq13, but im not sure i can link it cause of 3.
as for peeing, david was probably asking for attention in his own confused hodges-y way (i think that he has serious social trouble.........soooooooooooo cute) and i thinkt hat nicky was surprised, but found it cute, after he left the lab and got over the shock.
 
I don't believe that Nick is really all that experienced. At least not with guys, but that's just my opinion.
I think they'd have to go "learning by doing" together.
 
yeah, not with guys, but i think that he is experienced with relationships and what makes a good one.
 
In all the time the show was running Nick didn't have a single relationship. Flings and flirts yes, but nothing serious. And he never talked about anything in the past so I don't believe he's very experienced with it.
 
maybe, never know, but im sure that with david he will see that it is different and he will want it to work. he has a romsntic heart.
 
I'm not saying he isn't romantic or wouldn't want it to work, I'm just saying he's not en expert either so they'd have to take things slow in order to make it work.

I can somehow see Nick trying a little too hard at times. And while Hodges generally loves the attention he might feel a bit suffocated by it, even though Nick is just trying to make things right.

They're both a little awkward at the whole relationship issue (at least in my head they are)
 
i also can see that, nick making a romantic dinner and david getting annoyed, stuff like that.
im sure that david loves the attention. he does seem like the type who is used to being alone, so i could see him getting annoyed quite alot. theyd have missunderstandings, but the best couples are those who argue.
 
They'd argue a lot, both needing to adjust. Also, Hodges seems to be very difficult to get along with, Nick might be put off by his snark sometimes. But just think about the sweet making up afterwards, that sure is worth the trouble ;)
 
definately. im sure that david is almost impossible, but nick likes the challenge. they probably have quiet arguments, no screaming.
i can see david wandering around muttering for a while afterwards, then they talk and kiss and forget that it happened
 
I agree. No yelling or screaming with them. I think David would get snarky and maybe snap, then he'd be pouting in the corner until Nick apologizes.
Nick on the other hand would get frustrated and let off steam somewhere outside, maybe throw some punches at the gym, muttering on about how frustrating it is to be with David.
Then he'd come back and they'd make up, not much talking though, just some half hearted "let's forget about it and move on". I can't see them having a heart-to-heart, at least not until their relationship has been steady for a while.
 
I tend to think that David would really kinda go overboard in trying to do things for Nick. I don't know he always struck me as the insecure sort, seems like he tries so hard to get people to like him and falls just short (but people are warming up). Don't get me wrong though sometimes he's just a smart a** (and I love him for it).

Aww, cute. Hodgie is checking Nick out, I totally didn't see that before.

And I agree, David would try a lot of things to make sure Nick keeps liking him, maybe even overdo it a little. But I don't think those things would be anything cheesy or romantic, just little things that show he's paying attention.
And he would expect Nick to do the same for him.
 
Yeah there are a lot of episodes he looks like he's checking out Nick or maybe I just want to think that. I agree nothing really romantic, just I can see him doing things...just maybe wanting to take care of Nick. Though I think he would just kinda brush it off like nothing too, kinda like "what you gotta eat". If you've ever read the fic "Running from Monsters" the author captures exactly how I think a relationship between them would go.

Oh yes and happy joy! I remembered the episode were David mentions the horror movie. Its in "Werewolves", it seems so obvious now. David is talking about how he has the whole anthology of "The Howling" movies and that #2 is better than the first, then he asks Nick if wants to borrow it. Nick says "No, thanks"
So yeah I could definitely see them doing a scary movie watching date.
Horror movies are the best date movies IMO cause you can squeeze close at the scary parts.

david checks out nick all the time. i could have sworn that in happenstance he was checking out nicks butt when he was standing behind him.
i dont think that either of them would be scared from the movies.
i could see david doing little things too. like bringing over a pizza or helping wash the dishes, stuff like that. little things
