Help!!! Why does Danny carry Lindsay?

i love the idea of random lab techs, but if you're insisting that mac is 'too old', mac wasn't the only other guy working the case. flack was there too. i, personally, love it when flack gets to work hands on in the experiments for the case, and having a fun moment like that between him and lindsay might have been interesting considering they got zilch screentime together this season.

and (i hate to bring this up but) if it had still been aiden, they probably would have just written it in with a random lab tech or flack. danny probably wouldn't have even been considered. not that i'm comparing lindsay to aiden in any way, just the direction the writers would have taken it.

as much as i love my DL, they didn't need that moment.

nope your not the only one:D, real csi's do use people in the lab not themselves.

My husband is about the same age as Mac (or Gary Sinise) and he's in pretty decent physical shape, too. However, it *is* harder for a man over the age of 45 to carry a substantial amount of weight than it is for a man in his 20s or 30s. No matter how good of shape you're in overall, no man is at his peak at that age.

You guys are trying to use logic in a scene where there really wasn't any. A Danny/Lindsay scene was basically inserted into every episode just in case people assumed from the complete lack of chemistry between Anna and Carmine that the show wouldn't pair them up. The obligatory Danny and Lindsay scene in every ep is basically a weekly neon sign: "These two are flirting!" or "These two like each other!" If they had any natural chemistry, half the scenes wouldn't have been necessary at all.

I don't think Mac is too old, what I mean is there are other options to do that scene. Although, if there is a scene of Flack carrying Lindsay, I would probably get brain aneurism.

And I think Top41 is right, the writers sense a lack of chemistry and therefore they try to put more scenes to have more chemistry. But I don't think it's working.

If there's any natural chemistry in a pairing, then the audience will see it, and won't need to have it shoved down our throats every episode.
When a show has to tell the viewers that a couple is 'hot', IMO, it's a sign that actors/characters/scripts just aren't showing it properly. The adage is, 'show not tell'.

Yeah, like I said in my last post: lose everything except the Danny/Lindsey scenes.

goreshi -- yeah, I also have a slipped disc I got from playing volleyball and it sometimes hurts like hell.

They've done that before in CSI eps. Just grabbed random lab techs to help out. I remember Grissom getting the tiny receptionist to drag Warrick across the lab floor <g> and the Cath used her as well to test blood spatter patterns when she needed somebody short.

I'm guessing it was just another excuse for a 'cute' Danny/Lindsey moment.

I agree with you Ceindreadh, it was just another excuse for a D/L moment (which we didn't need). It's enough that we have to watch the "forced" attempts at flirting when they're working the same together but do we have to see it when they aren't working the same scene?

BTW, It's not just you. I would have preferred to see Flack carrying Danny too. :p I bet they would have been the right weight. :D And Flack was working that case.
