Help!!! Why does Danny carry Lindsay?

Mac's a little old to be carrying people around. I'm sure he could and would do it if necessary to save somebody's life, but it would be an awful strain on his back to do it just to prove a theory.
Besides. . .Danny and Lindsey looked *SO* cute in this ep!

Uhm... I'm not sure it would be such a strain on Mac to did what Danny did. The guy's not -that- old! *lol*

yeah, mac's not that old, and he was a marine. he's in pretty decent physical condition. i don't think it would have taken that much a toll.

what bugs me about it is it wasn't danny's case. while it was a fun moment, would have been more realistic if they were both on the same case.

you know they had to get a way to get them together even though danny wasn't working on that case.......it's just funny how he flirts with her and she gets all business with him and won't even flirt back with him... so i'm really curious how this season will portray the them, if there is supposed to be some kind of interest between these two characters...coz from what i've seen, she's not at all interested in him that way... unless she's playing hard to get...

Waddya mean ya didn't see it coming, Fay? The title alone was like a big neon sign that says, "Shippers show your support/dislike here!"

As mentioned previously, they weren't even working the same case. And it was a fun and lightheardted moment but that's all that it is - fluff. Seems like Montana was playing up her Damsel In Distress card with Danny by calling him up to help her with her case to me

I never said I didn't see it coming, I just think it was funny. :p Of course, I don't particularly want to get too involved in a shipper discussion because of the subjective nature of what each person sees and how they view the interaction. ;)

I don't think Mac's too old to have done the scene, and quite frankly I'd love to have seen him do it--Mac, being all awkward, and Lindsay like "What? Why are you embarrassed?" Lindsay strikes me as someone who doesn't get embarrassed easily (and keep in mind that I mean this in a good way ;)), and I can imagine that it wouldn't even occur to her that there would be anything awkward about having your boss carry you if you're trying to solve the case.

But if we're pointing out that Mac (and therefore Gary) isn't a spring chicken ;), it's also important to note that Carmine has had a back injury in the past and, while it's not my business and I don't want to give the impression that I have any clue what kind of injury it was or if/how it still affects him, if it's not necessarily a good idea for Gary to carry her, then it's probably not a good idea for Carmine to do it either, you know?

I don't think Gary could have been able to carry her, he problably would have hurt himself, not saying Anna is fat but Gary is a bit old have ya seen him try to run. I love Gary though.

Seriously, I'm baffled why people think Gary is so 'old.' 51 isn't ancient. My dad is almost 57 and he's in much worse physical shape than Gary is--my dad can't run well, and he's not going to win any fitness competitions, but he's still strong and he could carry a small, light woman all of about 10 feet.

The point of saying that Mac could have done it was to point out that he was working the case and Danny wasn't. That's what it boils down to. Why did Lindsay have the be the one that got carried? Why did a CSI have to do the carrying? They could have performed the experiment with two random lab techs or something--like that guy who added the barbell when Danny carried Lindsay--if they can have a random person there, why not someone about the same size as the doctor? Carrying someone about the same size as the victim? In the end, it comes down to the fact that the writers were including another Danny/Lindsay scene, love it or hate it.

she said she asked danny to cary her cause he is the same heigth and weigth as the suspect, but she wasn't cause she had to put some weigths on to be the same weigth as the vic, so why couldn't she get another girl to do that.

I was just discussing this with my mom, and I have to say the scene could have been done quite differently. The whole point was that Lindsay would compare the shoe prints, right? So if I'd written the scene (which I didn't, of course, but I've seen enough CSI shows to have a good idea of how else they could have done it ;)), it probably would have been something more like this: Lindsay walks up to two lab techs/random extras (complete with the snazzy little jumpsuits :p). She says that the guy is the same approximate height and weight as the doctor and the woman is the same approximate height and weight as the victim. Then she would have the man carry the woman across the flower beds in various ways (the way Danny carried Lindsay, over his shoulder, etc.) and then she'd go in and take measurements and pictures and compare them to the shoeprints made by the doctor's shoes.<--That was the whole point of the scene, to compare shoe prints, and they could have done it without a team member having to carry another team member. So not only did they not have to use Danny, but they didn't need to use Lindsay either (like you say feenx). I can see Lindsay as someone who wants to be involved with the experiments and make sure they're done right, but it still doesn't make sense to me that the scene was written the way it was.

They've done that before in CSI eps. Just grabbed random lab techs to help out. I remember Grissom getting the tiny receptionist to drag Warrick across the lab floor <g> and the Cath used her as well to test blood spatter patterns when she needed somebody short.

I'm guessing it was just another excuse for a 'cute' Danny/Lindsey moment.

(and I'd have much preferred to see Flack carrying Danny, but maybe that's just me <G>)

TPTB just want a Danny/Lindsey scene even though they are not on the same case. Of course, would they have an episode without a Danny/Lindsey interaction?

They can lose the A-case and/or B-case... just not that element.

*you can tell i'm a wee bit sarcastic hahahah*

Ei..just want to share my point of view

According to his website he “herniated his back” which means it’s a slipped disk. From what I can recall in our lecture, people with history of back injuries (slipped disk, scoliosis etc…) are contraindicated to lift heavy objects ..so I really wonder why Danny carried Lindsay? Looking at the screencaps, he didn’t even do the proper body mechanics (great…talking medical here) :)

But maybe the writers have this thing on their mind… why not let it others do it… maybe they were thinking that the audience would find it cute if Danny would be carrying Lindsay…..(it has been an issue about the chemistry thing between them…)…why not mac…maybe it will be a bit awkward to ask your boss to do it…

And involving yourself in a experiment is a good way to learn… ;)
