Re: Horatio's Thread #5 - Will The Real Horatio Please Stand

Yes, it's still here. :) On the main CSI Miami Forum index page, you can look at old threads by scrolling down to the bottom left of the page and using the drop down menu. You can select how far you want to go back.

Re: Horatio's Thread #5 - Will The Real Horatio Please Stand

Oh lovely pictures ladies, thank you for posting them. :)

I can't think of any threads I want to save, other than the Horatio threads. :p Anyhow, I really loved that picture from 'Witness To Murder'. One of my favorite episodes. :D And even though I didn't prefer 'Under Suspicion', it was a good episode. :)

Picture time!

Re: Horatio's Thread #5 - Will The Real Horatio Please Stand

Thanks for the pic Geni! :)

the funny thing is that the rerun aired here on monday.
I liked him very much in this episode.
he was so sorry about Amy and the way he said 'I'm so sorry Amy' was soo bitter-sweet. :(
and
during the whole episode I thought: he's wearing a white shirt, he's wearing a white shirt.
and he looked great.

Re: Horatio's Thread #5 - Will The Real Horatio Please Stand

You're very welcome for the picture. :)

Yes, the way he said "I'm sorry Amy" really struck a chord with me. :( ...*sigh* I miss that side of Horatio. Not that it's not still there, but he doesn't seem to be the same anymore. Sure, he's still caring and heroic, but there's something missing. I guess maybe his humanity? I'm not sure.

And the white shirts are crazy awesome. :D I also like the burgandy shirts he wears too. Hee, they always make me happy.

Re: Horatio's Thread #5 - Will The Real Horatio Please Stand

Can someone explain to me why did H go in the church to confess? I don't really understand that part...

Re: Horatio's Thread #5 - Will The Real Horatio Please Stand

Well the first question I would ask is have you seen 'From The Grave'?

If so, then I'm not really sure why he was at the church. I do know that the priest/bishop who was in the confessional came down from New York, and seeing as Horatio has a past in New York, he had to see him. But what I observed what that he was there confessing for a crime he had commited many years ago in New York. - Probably saving someone. (That of course depends on how much you've seen from season four)

But it didn't appear he was confessing anything recent, only something he did a long while ago. I can't remember the specific dialogue, but it seemed as though he had been to this particular priest many times before, for the same confession.

Hopefully that helps, and if it doesn't I'm sure someone else with more knowledge of the episode can give you a hand. :)

Re: Horatio's Thread #5 - Will The Real Horatio Please Stand

Ya, i did watch but u were saying "commting a crime bcos of saving someone?

Re: Horatio's Thread #5 - Will The Real Horatio Please Stand

Well, as I said before I'm not quite sure about the scene. It's been a while since I've seen the episode, but I believe he's confessing because he commited a crime (Probably murder) for the purpose of saving someone else. ;)

Re: Horatio's Thread #5 - Will The Real Horatio Please Stand

Here is the full quote from Horatio's confession

"Horatio? I didn't know this was your parish."
"Well father, when the cardinal of New York makes a surprise visit to Miami, word gets around."
"You're coming to confess a new sin?"
"No, father. Same one."
"You're angry."
"Father, I am confused."
"Well, guilt takes many forms."
"Father, I have been over this and over this a thousand times and I am certain with every fiber of my body that I couldn't have done anything differently."
"I told you when you came to me those many years ago, with blood on your hands, that it's not about the life you took, but the lives you make different in the here and now. That's what god is judging you on."
"I know what my penance is!"
"So why are you here?"
"I need you to tell me."
"When you've done enough, Horatio, you'll know."
-- Cardinal Benedetti and Horatio Caine (From the Grave)

Re: Horatio's Thread #5 - Will The Real Horatio Please Stand

That was my fave. I loved that show. Cried many tears. thanks for sharing it. I thought it may have had something to do with his mother. I get so confused cause at one time I thought they said a druggie killed her then in Collision he said his father did. So which is which?

In either case I thought it was H who killed whoever it was that killed his mother. Wish they'd go more deeper into that and also they NY deal. These writers GRRR can make me so mad at times. Anyway, if I'm wrong correct me but, that's what I remember.

The CBS bio said that a drug dealer killed his mother, but those bios tend to be inaccurate and don't always relate to what we've been told on the show.

In Season 4, we are led to believe that during his past in NY, in an attempt to save his mother's life, H intervened in a situation where her killer ended up dead. As katpin said, we later find out that H's father killed his mother. Therefore, it would seem that H killed his father.
