Although I wasn't a Rebecca fan (though I liked her feistiness!), I loved that mischievous grin on H's face at the end of the episode.

Exactly my feelings too. I think Ann D was trying a fresh approach, which turned out to be very misguided and failed on almost every level. I hope someone might have talked some sense into her for Season 5. *crosses fingers too*

Well, next on my season 1 dvd is 'Double Cap' I believe. Hopefully another great H epi coming up!

hey Wibss u gone love this epi 'Double Cap' we have a lot H/Y moments there also love the way H don`t let FBI involve/obstacle his work. if i don`t make mistake again H make one lovely chat with small kid the end is a little disappoint, coz the system win but H keep one promise to the little girl. hope with my post to not spoil ur surprise of this epi

Aw, some of my favourite caps there Pusher. Thanks. I love 'Double Cap' too. Another great Season 1 episode where we really do see H at his charismatic and compassionate best.

Oh...last night I watched 'Lost Son' I watched it twice once without the comentary and the second time with the comentary. I can't believe how emotional I got during this eppy. I even got all choked up the second time I watched it. My roommate came home while I was watching the funeral scene so she caught me all emotionaled up. I was more emotional than when I watched the season 4 primere when Horatio was in confession. The scene when Speed dies and Horatio's reaction just ripped out my heart. I grew to really like Speed as I was watching seasons one and two. The comentary never did state why they had to kill him off. Why did Rory leave the show? Speed ended up being my second faveret charactor behind Horatio.
Season five will probably have some greiving Horatio. He is so stoic that I find I love to see him experience some emotions. It would be great if they could have some Happy Horatio. I think if they put that charactor though much more crisis, emotional wreaks and loss ect he is probably gonna loose it and end up running nakked across the cosway. (Kinda like my sister thought I was gonna loose it and run nakked on our local high bridge when I was in the RT program) I can't wait for season five and hope they "bring in more of the true Horatio"

Rory decided to leave CSI:M because he no longer wanted to do a TV show (due to the daily grind and very long hours). He wanted to pursue a career in movies. Here is a link to a very interesting CSI Files interview from 2004:

Okay for a second there I got freaked out and I don't know why. -On a side note, you can find Rory in the new movie 'A Scanner Darkly' which just came out to theatres, and in September, he'll be in the new movie 'Right At Your Door', also coming to theatres.
I have vowed never to watch Lost Son ever again. It was the last time we truly saw the old Horatio. Well, there were probably some parts in season 3 other than that, but I like to think Lost Son was one of the last episodes that showcased Horatio as being what we all loved.
I don't really like to talk about Speed in this thread considering it's the Horatio thread, but I think that's one reason why Horatio changed so drastically-Speed's death. But, oh well what can you do? I'm not a writer.

Thanks Lucy for posting that link. It was very informative and now I understand what happened. Oh well...its too bad he left but it would seem that David Caruso will not leave the show so its safe to say I can still get to enjoy him.
BTW I got my series one cards yesterday. I arranged them and put them in the album. They are nice. Can't wait to get my series two set. To see what kind of Horatio pictures they will include. I am missing some of the chase cards. Bummer but maybe will make the work to locate the missing ones.

Speed cochrane, I am in the process of watching season three eppy's. I will diffently keep in mind Horatio's personality for the changes you mentioned. I know they mentioned the changes Delko would be going though but they said nothing about Horatio. Horatio's reaction to what happened was very powerful for me. I did not see that until I watched it last night. I rewatched it with the comentary and that did not lightened the emotions the eppy activated in me. It is hard to watch but I loved how David Caruso played that scene. That, my friends, is true raw talent. David Caruso might not be one of those classically trained actors but he possesses true raw talent that I could watch over and over and over.
