hard times...

Catherine came rushing in after she had called the lab to fill everyone in. She assured they didn't need to come and that she and nick would keep them up to date on Sara's condition. She looked at Nick, who wore a worried expresion on his face.
 
Sara gave a reassuring smile, though she was still in pain.
"Nicky, it's probably stress. I've been tense lately." She squeezed his hand and glanced at Cath.
 
Catherine could see tiny tears welling up in Sara's eyes. She didn't know if it was from stress worry or the pain.... Cath could feel the hot tears building up in her eyes to. Would her dear friend be okay?
 
Sara took Cath's other hand and shook her head. She didn't wanna break down, especially here. "Cath, I'm so scared," she whispered. She hated admitting it, but could deny it no longer.

Nick looked at the expresstions on the girl's faces. He was feeling the same way himself, but being the only man at the time, he couldnt let them know that. *clears throat. "i'll be there with you the WHOLE time sara, remember?" he stoked her hair, "dont need to cry baby." he said passionitly.
 
Nick shook his head. "Damn! Is that what you think?" he siad hugging her back. "NO you didnt! Sara," he kissed her on the cheek. "Sweety, if you had already let me down, i woulnt be here. Besides..." nick looked into Sara's eyes. "Do you really take me as that type of guy?" He Kisses her lightly. "dont..." he wispered.
 
Nick sighed. "oh, im sorry if i seemed defencive..." he said looking in her eyes. "but what i said was true ya know." He smiled. "its gonna be ok" he said quietly.
nurse; exuze me, but only one of you guys can come in with her.
nick; i will, cath you call everyone else, and tell them its gonna be ok, i'll fill you in as often as i can.
nurse; *takes sara into the room and helps her on the bed. "there you go ms. sidle. the docter will be here momentarily."
nick; "thank you!" he walked over to sara's bed and grabbed her hand. "im still here!" he said.
 
Nick sighed lightly, then wiped sara's tear's from here face. "you never said why your so scared of hospitals anyway!" he said curiously.
