I mean, firstly look at the context of the article - they were there to discuss the romance between him and another character, so it wouldn't make a lot of sense to say, "But Lady Heather is who he'd rather be with - this girl is not the true love of his life"
I think that it was meant to be a cheeky response.
Honestly, I've never quite understood this sense (and I'm not saying that that's what you meant, hhunter - just what I've gleaned from other posts in the past) that Grissom has to be in love with only one woman.
Or even flirt with or like only one woman.
Heather certainly seemed to be the lust of his life at any rate. lol.
