missh, let's just say people in this thread do think Cath and Gil have this deep, special friendship that's fundamental for a great relationship. We also think they'd make a beautiful couple given the chance. But hey, each to their own.

LadyB, I think the fic you were talking about is Days I'll Remember by Alza. That's the only one I can think of that matches your description. It's the sequel to another fic by Alza, 10 Days in September. You'll know why Catherine is there if you read this one.

That is a great analogy of C/G. They are like a storm brewing.

Cross-Jurisdictions is a great C/G episode. Especially at the end when he's watching her walk away.
Another one I saw recently is Room Service. That one had some good C/G moments in the beginning. It was very cute when Gil said to Cath that she gets 'territorial' about her crime scenes. :lol:

Haha. He knows her so well. Room Service WAS a good ep with the phone scene, I remember that. Very cute.

I also like picturing G and C snuggled up on the couch watching the Oscars. Awwww. :]

Just read the CSIFiles review for "Pledging Mr. Johnson." I forgot about that episode, and it sure was a great one for GC. The review really reminded me how at the beginning, they really had an undeniable friendship. It also brought a question to mind, though. How do you think Gil found out that Eddie was cheating on Cath, and why didn't he tell her?

I think maybe he didn't want to interfere in her personal life? Or maybe he didn't know how to tell her, but I like to think that he didn't want to see her cry, or see her upset. He didn't seem to like Eddie, maybe it would have been too much of an "I told you so", and he didn't feel comfortable with that. So many scenarios, they'd all make great stories lol.

There was one scene between Gil and Cath in 'You Kill Me', Cath asked him how he was doing and he asked Why... I thought that was kinda strange, but atleast it was some sort of scene with them together... It can only get better I supose *and hope*. It was also nice to see Gil talking and playing the game with Hodges, it was just nice to see him with someone other than Sara I supose. I really liked this ep, it was different in a clever way.

Well when it gets to the point where your close friend can't even ask you how you're doing without you getting edgy, then you know there are problems. I wonder what Catherine's thoughts have been during these past few seasons... Although I'd love to ask Gil the same thing.

But as Steph said, it can only get better. Hopefully. Remembering that strike ad or whatever that endorsed "Grissom and Willows" as a team, maybe TPTB have remembered them. Together. Which is in fact amazing.

Random fact, I can't read GC stories with character death. It depresses me. So if you ever write a story like that, then no matter how good it is, I'm sorry. I just can't do it (a friend and I are having a discussion on this.. so... not completely random).

Yeah, I thought that scene was weird too. I would have hoped Gil would have offered more to Catherine. But maybe he did and we just didn't see it. I mean she couldn't have been satisfied with the answer he gave at the time.

I also like the similarities that people have drawn between Gil and Cath and Mac and Stella. <<< I've been hanging out on that thread recently
They are good friends of each other and work really well together. But as someone pointed out ( I think it was Erica ) that Mac and Stella stayed friends even when Mac was seeing Peyton. Maybe now after the strike has ended, TPTB can bring back the same wonderful Gil/Cath friendship.

Yeah I gotta believe this too. Course as someone's said before about the promos and pics, TPTB know what sells. I just wish they'd give us what we see in the promos and pics. I don't know maybe I just look into these things too much. I'm just desperate for a little purejoy.

I heard in the next new episode that they'd be working together. Anybody else heard that?

^ Oh well them working together sounds promising. I know what you mean about the promo's and stuff, on all the boxsets here in the UK, we have Gil and Cath on the box, and no-one else. I Have season 6 part 2, 7 part 1 and part 2 here, you see - Gil and Cath... (I also have season 5 parts 1 and 2, but my friend is borrowing them at the minute. They also have G/C on the box.) Grrr it bugs me... They should just get together.
