Just noticed how appropriate my avvie is to the name of this thread. I just thought of changing it but I stopped, and decided to wait it out. :lol: Until they share something else, that'll be it.

Actually, I have a nice little two episode arc I'm just finishing referring to Sweet Jane and Redrum. Let's just say it features a phone, Gil's shirt, a surprise visit and some TLC.

Well, I just watched LD. It was alright, I suppose.
Our ship sure does like to share.
BTW the best part of living doll, for me, was after a really Sara-focused scene, there was one of those CTV clips of the characters before the commercials. Guess which one it was! Cath and Gil, looking smokin hot! Totally ironic and amazing!

Sara lives, but besides that, Grissom and Catherine are sharing again! This time it's binoculars. LOL. I loved Nick's flashback. It was so sweet and totally unexpected. I was kinda disappointed that nobody except Natalie aknowledged GSR, cuz I really wanted to see Cath lay into him. Always next week, I guess

Can I ask you something, and not because I want to like, question your choice of shippers or whatever... simply because I'mm curious.
I'm a Grissom/Sara shipper, and well... They've ended up together and such.. so... that's kind of... well.. you know. haha! Maybe you don't, but anyway!
My question is, why do you ship just Catherine and Grissom? I mean we've got proof that Sara and Grissom are an item, but well... Is it based just on the fact that you want them to be together, or have there been Catherine/Grissom moments that could be interperated (I'm from Sweden, I can't spell... so kill me!) as something more then friendship?
Once again, just asking 'cause I'm curious, and because I'm never understood. I'd be happy to get an answer, shipping rules

I can't speak for others, but I admit that I never understand why people ship Grissom and Sara, too. Let me rephrase myself...I see where they're coming from. They see chemistry between these characters blahblahblah..., but I have never seen what GSR shippers see between Grissom and Sara. Even after this ship became canon on the show, I still don't see what is, to me, supposed to be in a relationship between these two, other than the fact that TPTB made them canon. I have shipped Catherine and Gil since the show started. I see what I think is chemistry between them, the same reason why other shippers ship their pairings, I guess, and I find it really odd to explain myself. It's just personal likings, you know, and people have different likings and at times you really don't get what's gotten to them. There's just no explanation for that. Also, I don't think whether a ship is canon or not affects what people think about it. It's fiction after all, and you can always do whatever you like in fiction.
btw, I believe we have a few multi-shippers here. We don't only ship Cath and Gil. Take me as an example, I also like Catherine/Warrick, Gil/Lady Heather, Nick/Sara, Greg/Sara and Catherine/Lady Heather, but this one is my OTP.

Because they are. I mean...for me this pairing came pretty logically in terms of usual movie/TV show stereotypes. Grissom/Sara is supposed to make sense, but it just doesn't do it for me. Although they're supposed to be canon, it just feels...let's just say it feels out of place for me but that's not the main reason. I ship Grissom/Catherine because of their history and their potential that you can't deny. The possibility of them carrying out a successful relationship is definitely there and I guess that's what appealed to me the most.
[SPOILER="Dead" Doll]I think I expected way too much. I had my hopes up to the max just to have it be crushed by PTB. But I guess in the back of my mind, I always had the doubt that they wouldn't kill her off like that, although it would have made for some awesome drama. I'm quite at a loss for words right now, and although they say that the relationship is "ending", it's probably going to be just as...whatever. But anyway. Aside from the fact that Sara lived, the episode was okay. It wasn't the best premiere I've seen, since they tried too much in an hour but other than that liked the Sara-focus. I'm kind of lost right now because Sara was found.

I read Ausiello's interview with Jorja and that gives me (and Anne) the idea that TPTB are still planning to end the (not necessarily GSR, but Sara) storyline because it seems that Jorja will leave the show after the seventh episode which is titled "Hello, Goodbye" and in which Hanna and Marlon from "The Unusual Suspect" is supposed to re-appear. Of course we're not sure about it, but Anne and I think what Jorja said did give hints. It's just I'm not as optimistic as Anne is. lol. I don't know what to say if she really leaves, and I don't think I want her to leave that much, but if it helps bring back the old Cath/Gil dynamic, anyone can leave.

I liked the Cath/Gil scenes too. I liked that Cath was right there with Gil helping trying to find Sara.
Why I ship Cath/Gil. For all that they are and mean to each other. They are the epitome of a married couple. They fight, they make-up :devil: They have their similarities and differences. That's what makes them fun. They have a fun, sexy relationship.

Catherine/Vartann and Sara/Greg
So I think it's your preference on who you like with whom?

They know each other well enough that they can say things to each other that just a friend or colleague wouldn't. They can argue with each other. They finish each other's sentences. Catherine prods Gil along with subtle nuances on how to interact with other people (including his own team members). She steps in to help him whenever she sees he's confused or out of his comfort zone. As Anne Donahue once said - they're like an old married couple. That was very prevalent in the first four seasons. SpikeTV is now showing season 1 episodes during their daily CSI hours. Oh, how great those first few seasons really were - not just Cath/Gil, but the whole team.
And, the biggest reason I ship PureJoy? She calls him "Gil"!
