George/Nick: Texan Charm #12

Well, I think if they don't make George the male lead he'll walk.

I know he said he'd stay to the end, but last year he said if the deal isn't good you have to be able to 'walk away'. So if they screw him again he made decide, that's it.

He's given this show his all, always the cheerleader for it and they need to remember that. :shifty:

I think we won't find out if he signs his contract until July when they start shooting again.

He gets married next week and then they honeymoon, so he'll probably be a hold out again. :shifty:

For some reason TPTB think they have to make some big, dramatic gesture/change to save the show, when back to basics with the current cast plus a newbie or two (who DON'T take over the show) will do just fine.

At this point, wouldn't it be a "dramatic change" to go back to the original ensemble type show without a single big actor in the lead of every storyline?

This could really give George, and by extension Nick, a chance to shine (not that he doesn't already, to us!!) this next season. Since I'm a new viewer, I am by no means ready to have CSI give up and cancel!! I'm just revving up

I agree. I only just got hooked on this show, they can't cancel or drastically change it now!

I think George/Nick would make a great lead. He's done so well and grown so much over the past eleven seasons. Hopefully anyone new they add will be a less-known actor as a newer CSI (personally, I'm still hoping Liz Vassey could return :)), rather than trying to bring in a new supervisor over Nick (I'm assuming they can learn from the mistake of having a big actor play a newbie CSI, as with Ray).

George deserves to become the lead, and Nick definitely deserves the supervisor job.

I hope we find out soon. Not knowing makes me stressed. :shifty:

Something else for us to discuss...

George isn't even submitted for this years Emmy awards!

The only submissions for CSI this year:
Laurence Fishburne - lead actor in a drama series
Jorja Fox - supporting actress in a drama series
Bill Irwin - guest actor in a drama series
Ann Margret - guest actress in a drama series

What the heck happened to everyone else. Marg isn't listed. George isn't listed. Eric isn't listed. Did they all get together and say 'we aren't going to get nominated so we aren't going to submit ourselves.'

Both Miami and NY has people listed in all categories.

all there really is to say is :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

I would think that as an actor George might like some recognition from his peers but come on nobody put his name forward  I'm somehow not surprised to see George's name on there but I'm truly disappointed that LF is there. And I'll just keep my mouth shut on Bill Irwin

Look at this way...none of them will win. :p They don't vote for procedurals.

They really need to create categories for procedural dramas and let these people get recognized for the work they do.

Any Idea where the wedding is suppose to be?

Nope and unless it's stated by George where it will be we leave it at that.

I've misplaced my interview about George's wedding. Can someone refresh my memory of what day it's going to be? I was thinking it was the end of June, but Speedy mentioned next week.

What thread was it we were talking about memory being the first thing to go? :guffaw:

On that note, I just wanted to say that tonight's rerun of Cold-Blooded was one of my favorite Nickisodes of the season. He still had the buzz going on, and looked incredibly hot throughout the eppy. It was also a good emotional one, and when Carly fell into Nick's arms at the end, it was heartbreaking to know how she felt. Excellent acting from George, as usual!! :adore:

ah ladybronco, your memory is really going cause memory is not the first thing to go. It's the second. Nobody can remember what the first thing to go is :guffaw:

George and Monika are getting married Friday June 17th.

:guffaw:Guess I have forgotten the first thing to go......

Thanks for the info Jacquie, Friday the 17th, that makes it a week today! :D

Is anyone else worried about the future of CSI? With the two main headliners leaving... while I think George is more than enough to keep the show entertaining, I'm more than a little worried it won't be enough to keep the show running.

Me three, thanks for finding that! :D

Should be an easy day for me to remember, it's the day before my wedding anniversary
