Wow! Yeah, congrats Elsie! I didn't notice you were green when I stopped in right after you this morning.
It has been a super strange (and stressful) couple of days at work. There's this employee who went home to another state at spring break and came back "engaged." Well, then she went home again last week and on Friday sent a message that her fiance had been killed in an accident. Except things in her story weren't adding up. And a couple of us thought it was just not right. So, I used all the skills I have learned through years of watching crime dramas and tried to track down information about the guy and the accident. I didn't know it, but at the same time, two other people were doing the same thing (one an ex army intel officer, one a retired cop). We collected alot of evidence (or rather, lack of evidence) for the existence of the fiance. Then we were finally able to reach someone in her hometown who confirmed that both the fiance and his death were completely made up. I totally feel like I'm living in a bad Lifetime movie at the moment. Anyway, she's going to be let go (fraud and all). Sorry to go on and on about it - it's just so bizarre, I never could have imagined being in this situation (which, considering that I am a psychologist, says alot).
