Theatre directing is totally different, and I'm not sure how much he cares for just directing a movie.

oh, god, definitely. I don't think he would really direct a movie unless it was something really close to his heart like OMAM is.

I should have specified. The movie OMAM was never released in movie theatres, if you can believe it. Despite it receiving loads of professional accolades and showing at film fests and such, and becoming almost standard high school curriculum in loads of places, initially it never got proper funding for a proper release. It is SUCH a crime!

Probably. In the movie industry anyway. But he's directed at least as many plays as he's been in, and I pretty sure more actually.

WOW, I just saw this. Mac Taylor is a Rock Star! I recall watching one episode where at the end of the show, he was playing bass in a band!

Yes, he actually is quite the rock star. He has a band that plays for US troops at Military bases worldwide. he does a few civilian shows, too (I've been to one and he is FANTASTIC)
and he just goes and does his thing, rocking out on the bass... it's beautiful, if you ever get the chance you should definitely do it!
